Cool environment that goes to waste by bad food and even worse staff and management. When you walk through the doors of Ford's Garage you are immediately blown away by the design and attention to detail that was taken to dress up the building. From the gas station pump handles on the entry way doors, to the fixtures in the bathrooms, and the engines beautifully displayed in the center of the restaurant, I was excited to find a new burger place that I could frequent in Florida. Sadly, the interior design was best and only good part of my experience with Ford's Garage. I ordered a burger and it was awful. I was with three other people who also ordered burgers and theirs were awful too. When you go to a restaurant that is almost strictly burgers, you expect, at the very least, they would be able to cook a burger at the temperature requested. No such luck. We all ordered our burgers medium and they all came out anywhere from extremely well done to well done. Also, it doesn't take a burger aficionado to tell you that whatever meat they are using is really cheap and low quality. The cooks must be having a hard time back in the kitchen because the burgers were also burnt to a crisp. They were charred, but not in a good way. Instead of having that nice flavorful char from the grill, they had a burnt and barely edible taste. In my opinion burgers are one of the easiest things to cook. If I pay for a burger at a restaurant, it better be significantly better than what I could have done on my grill at home. Again, no such luck. Lastly-and I'll keep it brief-the staff and management have a lot to learn about service and hospitality. I do not usually go out of my way to tell management about a bad experience unless it is really really bad. When we told them about our experience, all we were looking for was an apology. We didn't want our food replaced, or a free meal, just a simple apology for the bad experience. Unfortunately, we couldn't even get that. Based on other reviews, I know that we are not the only ones who have been unhappy with Ford's Garage. Words of caution to the business owners: Ford's has only been open a couple months and still has new customers waiting in line to try the place out for the first time. Those lines with dwindle away and those customers who had bad experiences won't be returning. If you don't want to see your doors closed in the next couple of years, you need to make some serious changes before you lose your business one customer at a time. You won't ever see the $80 we spent at your restaurant again. Don't let that be the same case for another group of new customers. read more

So, I'm not 100% sold on the hype of this place at all. We went for dinner with family from out of town tonight and after waiting an hour for a table, we had some seriously high expectations. Firstly, the music in there is far too loud. I get trying to have this super fun atmosphere, but when you have to read lips or constantly say "what?", it gets super annoying! Massive burger selection is sure to give you major indecision! We started with the pulled pork nachos, those were really good. The pork was super flavorful. We all got different burgers, cooked to different temperatures and specifications. Bummer #1 my persons burger bun was so soggy from the pickle they had on the plate it had to be remade. Note, he asked to not have a pickle at all. So his burger had to go back to be remade. When they brought him a non soggy burger, they forgot his fries. So I had to go hunt down out server to get them. That was kinda nuts. Bummer #2 everyone but me asked to not have the damn pickle. And we all got one. Bummer #3 I loathe tomatoes on a burger. Just grosses me out, mine came with the tomato I asked not to have. Mine went back too for tomato removal. The kids meal came with a drink she never got. Had to ask for that 'to go'. The milkshakes are pretty good we each had one. I think the chocolate was the best. Things to know: 1. It's so loud in there. 2. Be prepared for a long wait. 3. If you really don't like pickles or prefer to not have a soggy burger, maybe ask for the pickle on the side or reiterate no pickle! 4. Don't expect exceptional service. Not impressed. Arrived at 4:15 Saturday afternoon. Large crowd and a 45 minute wait. Sat at bar and our drink order taken care of by a hustling, very efficient bartender. The four of us were finally called (text system) for our table. Rather disappointed that we were seated in the midst of the crowd waiting by the door...when asked for a better table after waiting so long, hostess impolitely stated that other tables were not available (despite the three, empty, quieter area tables we saw), and it was more or less take it or leave it. Siting down, we were quickly waited on for our drinks; unfortunately, that was the last time anything was quick. Over the next ten minutes, our drinks were brought to the table, one at a time, including a simple coffee, ice tea, and water. While our food order was taken in a timely fashion, the long wait between ordering and receiving our food, was unfathomable and scattered?! An onion soup was delivered, and from there we waited a half hour for the rest of our order. The lobster and macs were very good, the specialty burger spot on, and my patty melt, so-so. When I asked for a rare burger, waitress had said, that couldn't be done; something about pressing the sandwich on the grill, juices, etc. Too bad, because the burger was overcooked, fairly dry and not very tasty...at $10.95, disappointing, and the french fries served with it, totally unimpressive, run-of-the-mill ordinary. For a $90 tab, plus tip, there is no reason for us to return. Luckily, my wife and I had two good friends with us to kill the long wait for food, otherwise we would have left before it was served. If you enjoy a noisy spot with a large selection of beers, maybe you should give it a try...but be prepared to be sorry you did. read more

I'm confused why this place didn't get better reviews, I surpringly enjoyed me experience here. The decor is awesome, I love how even the smallest details are care related. The service was good, food was brought out relatively quickly. Tried the onion ring tower which was good and a Kobe beef burger which was perfectly cooked to the medium rare order I made (rare to find a perfectly cooked burger as most restaurants tend to overcookmeat). I also ordered truffle parmesan fries which were also very tasty. I had a great dinner at this restaurant, and will definitely be back to feed my burger cravings! read more

I really wanted to love this place, but couldn't. On the positive side I like the decor it's fun. Great selection of beers I'm super happy when I can find great beers. The service was a bit slow we ordered pretzel sticks as an appetizer, which ended coming out after our entree. We ordered signature burger to split (BBQ Bacon and Cheddar, )but my friend didn't want BBQ sauce so we asked for it on the side, didn't come that way. Bun was super soggy, did they just have an extra one made ? As I said it beat the appetizer to the table. Not much flavor felt a bit under seasoned. Truffle fries were good. Couple next to us had there beer cleared early by a bar back who then argued that he didn't clear it, they also mentioned they had sent first appetizer back. You would think that amount of money that went in to the traditional lookof the restaurant and the props would take away from the hospitality and the food but you're wrong. The food was exquisite. I had really high expectations for this place and they really missed the mark. We went on Wednesday night, the place was only at about 50% capacity, and we were there around 10pm. By restaurant standards, mildly busy; I've been a server for years. There were 3 people in our party. Pros: -Great waitress, can't remember her name but she really tried despite all our mishaps -Large alcohol selection -Highly thematic interior -Seated right away Cons: -Ordered our food right away, and waited almost an hour for everything including appetizers to come out. We watched another guy get his burger in 15 minutes. -French Onion soup was sub par, tasted more like super beef broth -Burgers were just okay. There are much better places. Overcooked and they forgot ingredients, and didn't pay attention to special requests (no tomatos) -Waitress said that the manager would stop by our table. He never showed up. She said she asked him 3 times. -Mac N Cheese was bland. Don't recommend. Overall, good to go once for the experience to check out the hype, just don't plan to be impressed by anything besides the decor. read more

The first time we attempted to dine here the wait was an hour and a half before we were able to be seated, yet there were 25 tables with no one sitting at them, so we left. The next time we called ahead and we were excited to hear there was no wait. Our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we were seated and it took 45 minutes before someone took our order. This place looked awesome so I decided to check it out on the 4th around 10pm. Me and my girl get there to stand at the host station for almost 10 minutes until someone comes up and says "sorry come this way". We are seated in the booths and start looking around since it's our first time there, after about 15 min we have not been asked for drinks, we don't even know who our server is. We stick around a bit more for only some blonde to come by our table put her hand on it and look at us to say nothing and kept walking. We got up and left! We will not go back, there will only be negative word of mouth advertisement from me and my partner. This has never happened to me in my life at a restaurant. read more

We waited 80 mins to be seated. We got the onion rings, meat loaf, bbq burger, and a cheese burger. We got the apps and main meal at same time. The cheese burger was to be med rare and was med. the burger came to us cold and the cheese wasn't even melted on it. When the waitress came by we had told her about the burger and all we got was I wish I knew and oh sorry about that. Wow that's it. My mom only had taken two bite of the burger. Way over priced for what they give you and the quality of the food. Live right down the street and will never return. I got a salad with cranberries and blueberries and had to pick out all the blueberries because they were super soft and gross. A positive experience! Fried Pickles were really tasty for an appetizer. The mac n cheese was a bit of a let down, it didn't have much flavor. Grilled chicken was great. Loved the decor and the horn honking for birthdays. Service was great. We'll be back to try some the burgers. Also had a good kids menu. read more

Took my wife here with my sister and nephew and we had a great experience. The place had a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The wait to get a table took a little bit of time but it being a sunday when we went, you wouldn't expect any other kind of wait. We asked for a booth and they were happy to accommodate the request. As soon as we sat we were all ready to order and the food did not take long to make and them to bring out. The food tasted great and what we expected. I recommend if you are a long island iced tea fan to try the model T drink, very good. I told our server stephanie, it was my wife's birthday that day and they made her day very special by singing a little song and bringing out a very big portioned brownie sundae, i believe thats what it was. I'm going to preface this review with the fact that I went about a month ago and they could have been still working the kinks out as they just opened. I went on a weekend and had about an hour wait. There isn't very many seating options inside for those waiting. Once seated our server did come ask for our drink order quickly which was nice. The menu was pretty large especially their hamburger menu. I ordered a side salad and the bbq mac and cheese and was disappointed with both. The ranch salad dressing was clearly watered down and then mac and cheese could have been good if they hadn't dumped so much bbq sauce on the top of it that it overwhelmed any other taste. It was a cool space and I enjoyed looking around but I think I'll give them some more time to work things out before I go back. read more

An hour long wait, we ordered our food once we sat down, but took another hour for our food to get to the table. I would rate the food a C, it was just okay, nothing to brag about. Milkshake was not good at all, it tasted like a regular McDonald's liquidy shake and gave me a stomach ache. If you don't like noisy places or on a date, this isn't the place for you... unless you don't want to hear you company's conversation. Very very loud, service very slow. Eh. We had to wait an hour to get in, which is understandable considering it's a new restaurant. However once we did get inside, service was slow and the burgers (in my opinion) are way overpriced for the size of the burger. I asked for medium and it was well done, didn't feel like sending it back because we had already waited so long for our food. Our waiter took forever to get to us and kept us waiting on refills. Just went here for the first time, and I must say that the atmosphere is enjoyable . The decor from the classic cars to the ambient lighting was very unique. We went on a weekend and the wait was longer then what was told, which is to be expected especially on a Saturday. When we finally sat down our waitress Yasmine was very pleasant and attentive. Overall our food and time there was great. We highly recommend this place for someone looking for burgers and brews. read more

The food was great, wings have always been super flavorful and cooked perfect. Server was nice a little rushy but was knowledgeable. Manager (Heather) was rushing around the restaurant with a miserable looking face, angry looking and you could hear her barks at the staff. We went here after my daughters ballet recital and we had a blast. We drive by so often and finally had a chance to try it. The kids loved all the cars outside and inside which kept the admiring the decor so I could eat. They did an amazing job creating a ford atmosphere, all the down to the cloth napkins and the napkin rings. I tried there meat loaf and it was so tasty and satisfying. My husband had their burger and to this day compares every burger place to fords burgers. Definitely worth the trip to try! read more

When it arrived looked impressive. Arugala and a fried egg. Sounded yummy. First impression bun too small for the burger. I know.... a personal choice. Ordered medium rare. Temp was on point. Shared a piece of the knife and fork burger with Jessica Eve who tried the pulled pork Mac n cheese (she liked). She states about the burger kinda bland. Yup no seasoning. Lacked salt at least. Cut into the fried egg and watched the silky yolk drizzle the burger. Must admit excited at this point. Cut into the burger and my anticipatory taste buds hit a stone cold egg! Hmmm. Went on a Friday night with some friends as we were in town for the weekend. Had the Ford's Signature burger and it was very good, cooked just as asked. The best part however was the truffle fries. Very tasty! My wife had the lobster mac n cheese and enjoyed it very much. While the food and drinks were good the best part is the decor. I'm a Ford car guy and loved the theme from the old Ford cars and trucks to the shop rag napkins with hose clamps for napkin rings. We will be back the next time we are in the area. read more
