Three extra sauces to choose from

This location has been open for 6 months. Inside and outside seating. Parking can be found at a distance. Sat at a table near the restroom and there always seemed to be a line of people waiting. Seats were wore out with insides exposed. Food was just ok. Fajitas had no flavor so you had to sauce it up.

Part of menu. Everything ala cart.

Hubby and I was looking for something to eat and came upon Nueva Cantina. Decor is nice and the place is big and open. Has a nice covered outside sitting area. We were seated after a short wait (there was no line). Looked at the menu which doesn't have that many menu items. Everything is ale carte and very pricey. They have a full bar which seems to be the draw. Utensils are all kept in a canister on each table. The utensils at our table were all dirty from something inside the canister. We received our food and couldn't use any utensils. After waiting for our waitress to come and check on us; I finally had to get up and go to the bar to ask for clean utensils. Food was okay, pretty much over priced I feel. Served the purpose of feeding our hungry stomachs but most likely won't repeat.

Food is always delicious! Atmosphere is nice and the servers do a great job. I've been here a bunch of times and will continue coming back! The marg pitcher is really strong, did not slight one bit!

I went for Valentines and it was SO SO SO CUTE. Everything was pink and love theme, even the food!!! The staff was so welcoming and had fast service. I tried the margarita flight they were so fun and cute, i do wish the drinks had more description of what was inside (i might not have seen it) i didn't like the spicy drink, and one was really strong but they rest were great!!! The food was tasty i had quesobirria & esquite. It is a little pricier than other places id definitely come back to see what they do for the next holiday

Tonight was my 2nd time at Nueva Cantina in Brandon, and the experience was completely different ~ in the best way. Our server, Angel, took amazing care of us, and the manager, Manuel, was also very attentive and welcoming. We went with a variety of tacos from the taco tour, plus a burrito and a taco salad ~ everything was delicious. We also tried the classic margaritas; they were strong but not overwhelming, just right. The noise level was moderate this time, so we were able to chat and hear each other with no issues, which made the experience even better. We will definitely be coming back again and again!

A great time at Nueva Cantina last weekend! We came on a Friday and it was VERY busy. This is a new location so there is a lot of buzz around it! Also the whole place is decked out for Christmas and they have a bunch of fun Christmas drinks! The wait for outside patio was 50 minutes and the wait for inside was 1:45 min. Crazy long! We did find a spot at the bar and sat. It was quite loud in there since it was so busy. The bartender was slammed the whole night but he was still doing his best at service to make sure we were taken care of. Great work! Did the sampler appetizer which was queso salsa and guacamole. All great! The chips were Christmas colors too! Did the tacos and rice and refried beans side. Food came quick. All very good and nice flavor! We had the Christmas margarita flight and it was delicious!! Each marg was flavored different and they all tasted great, my fav was the mistletoe margarita! They went all out with the theming. I will love to come back and try more food and drinks!

This is located in the Plaza off of 60 and Falkenburg. It was a Cherrys, never been to the restaurant before. Met a friend at this Mexican spot and immediately thought it was super cute. They had Christmas decorations and was blaring loud Christmas Spanish music. There was art murals and fun decorations. As soon as you entered the dining room the aroma of Mexican food filled the air and you just wanted everything before seeing the menu. We ordered a chicken burrito bowl and steak faijitas and it was amazing. The faijitas came to the table sizzlin with all the toppings. You can choose between ciliantro rice or Spanish rice - refried beans or black beans. I got cilantro rice with the black beans and soooo good! For dessert we had the Christmas taco and it was different - it was graham crackers taco shaped with cheesecake inside and sprinkled with confetti sprinkles. It wasn't the greatest but it was different and tasty just a bit grainy and dry, in my opinion. We told the waitress to perhaps serve it with a scoop of ice cream on top to perhaps dress it up or make it not as dry. The food was plentiful, delicious and the environment was fun and inviting. I would definitely come again and next time not during lunch, as I would love to try a drink

This place was good for tacos, but was a little overpriced considering the area. It was in walking distance from the hotel down the road, so it was convenient as I didn't want to deal with traffic anymore. I had a Mezcal Margarita and it was super small, but it was good. The prices were more on par with upper-scale... not a laminated menu place. Two sips and it was gone. Bummer! I went to a place next door to have a few more drinks after I was done. The tacos were good but the chicken was super duper dry AF. Maybe it would have been better fresh. I couldn't add enough sauce to make it good! On the other hand, the Chorizo was great as was the Al Pastor. Finally, the Shrimp in the Shrimp Taco got lost in all of the toppings. I like more shrimpiness! I had great service from Jai with water refills and bringing out the sauces and explaining the menu and such. Overall, it was OK. I'd go back for tacos but wouldn't make it a regular stop for unwinding.

Stopped in to try the Birria pizza and had a margarita flight the food was amazing everything came out pretty fast nice and hot. The waitress was kind and suggested the flight and her favorites. The ambiance was not too noisy as the decor was Easter themed with the season very cute. I highly recommend stopping by during happy hour and if the weather permits enjoy the outside dining.

Tacos 8/10 Drinks 5/10 (i don't like sugary sweet drinks) I love that more non-fast food/crazy huge franchises are coming to the brandon/riverview area. This is in a shopping center, parking is pretty decent. Space inside I feel is crunched. The bar seats are literally shoulder to shoulder. There is patio seating, booths, and high top seats. I tried theme fall drink, pumpkin margarita. The one given to me initially was dangerously sweet and syrupy. Mistakenly, two bartenders made my cocktail, so the second one was given to me for free and it was a lot better and balance and fall in marg form. There were more themed drinks. My friend got the flight and all were pretty sweet, she said the lesser sweet and betters were the traditional marg and one others. Tacos: I have no real complaints. They were delicious and filling. The price on the menu is for like taco. I had two and it was filling. The toppings on the different tacos aren't very different, the protein is basically what changes per taco. The have tvs for the games and an early HH. They have marg flights and cute pitchers.

Who knew there was a vacation portal right behind Hooters and Mickey D's in Brandon? It's inside the old Cherry's Bar and Grille... with a major glow up. Every bit of this place is photo ready/worthy. It has undercurrents of Cancun/Cozumel-with fun seasonal drink options, a friendly/welcoming attitude and plenty of parking/seating. The patio is laid-back and pretty... the dining room, with booths, tables and high tops, is comfy and chill... and the bar is sort of sexy. But the best part of our visit was the service! What a great staff! They're chosen and trained well. Attentive, warm, efficient, professional, fun-they made our visit on a Friday afternoon so special. The menu was accessed via QR codes on the table (not my fave, but ok) isn't large, but it is inventive. I knew I wanted tacos, which are sold separately and you can pair them with sides, like cilantro rice. Since we shared the chips and queso, I opted for just the veggie taco... which was excellent with roasted poblano. I'll get two of those next time, with that rice. Since it was October, we ordered the Halloween margarita flight. There was an apple cinnamon variety, a caramel apple, a berry flavored option and the house marg (which I loved!) They were all so different and detailed, fun and festive (including a sunken eyeball!) It was $33 for the flight. I think they're planning a Christmas flight, too. We'll have to check that out-and more of the food. It was a good first visit. I'll be sure to check it out again and report back.

(I am missing the items we ordered, so I'll have to come back here and add them later, but all that matters is four people had completely different entrées, and we were all very pleased.) How pleased were we? So pleased that, a mere 7 days later, we're about to drive 1.25 hours to have another meal there, this time with our extended family of 14. The host greeted this warmly and had us promptly seated. Our server, Danielle, was magnificent! She attended to us very well providing excellent recommendations. I also want to give a shout out to the fellow who came and prepared my pasta carbonara tableside. (Alas, I will have to come back and put his name in because I don't have it handy at the moment.)

One of the main ingredients in this cheesy skillet of goodness is pepperoni. My husband asked that the chef leave that ingredient out of the recipe due to my recipe allergy reaction. The waiter did a commendable job communicating to the kitchen about my dietary needs. Unfortunately, our dip came off with pepperoni and I nearly devoured it down. The waiter was super apologetic and wrapped it a carry home container and reordered a new one. We were so full from the soft, tasty bread, that we didn't touch the appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the most divine homemade pasta and beef rib dish. Whoever was back there cooking the dish, you have amazing taste, talent, and skill. My husband ordered the stuffed shrimp and beef fat potatoes. The shrimp were jumbo and filled with a hearty breading that was packed with flavor. The potatoes were rich in flavor and had a buttery texture. He would definitely order this dish again! Our server went out of his way to refill our drinks and attend to everything we were requesting. As a bonus, he ordered two pistachio and chocolate chips on his tab for the dilemma we encountered with the appetizer. I thought that it was a genuine gesture. You don't see that happening much anymore. When our cannolis arrived, I was pumped trying one of my favorite desserts Due to full bellies, we brought the dessert home. When I tried the cannolis at home I unpleasantly surprised at the taste. The cannoli cream was virtually absent of flavor, smoothness, and mascarpone. It is unclear what the my replaced it with for the fillings Overall, our experience was great! We will definitely make an appearance again!

The atmosphere in this odd location is absolutely divine. It feels like luxury clamping as you enter and Oasis of Flora and Fana through a small mirrored hallway and led to the center of the restaurant with canvas tips set up, decoratively on the outskirts of the restaurant with beautiful outside decorative lighting the first thing I noticed, as we sat was the deco glassware for the water glasses, and the carafe of water. We started with a cappuccino and a café con Leche in the candle butter croissants! The creative ingenuity to put a wick inside the butter to perfectly melt your croissants was genius. For the entrées, we chose the campfire French toast and the sausage, egg and cheese croissant sandwich-I forgot the same of it! The eggs on the sandwich are called French eggs and they are to die for! Fluffy creamy and decadent. We also want everything with cream cheese. Next time would opt pass on the bagel. It was a bit chewy for our liking and perhaps boiled a bit too long- that is if they are making them fresh in house. The service was okay. Nothing wrong, but the server did stand or try to go above and beyond to create an experience to remember. She checked on us regularly with generic "is everything OK?" questions but did not offer dessert or ask if we wanted a second coffee. The cappuccino and cafe con Leche were absolutely delicious. We maybe would have bought a second one if offered. She waited for someone else to clear extra plates off the table and the carafe of water was empty by the end of the meal and it was not offered to be refilled.

It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!

We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

We've been fans of 1916 since living in Plant City and are glad this location on 60 is close to us. Seat yourself and the bartender will come around to take your order. Looking over the menu, they have a good array of options. My wife loves the chicken Caesar salad. I ordered a special for the day, 6 wings for $6 as well as a Hell's Kitchen flat bread pizza. During the wait for our food I played a game where you can win a rubber ducky from a machine. My daughter enjoyed it but we didn't win. When we came back to the table, the manager floating around offered my daughter 2 small duckies for her to play with and keep. Once our food arrived, we dug in. I ordered my wings garlic parmesan. These were the best wings I have had in a while and the next time I want wings, I will be back for these. They were flavorful, meaty and decently sized. The crunch on these was next level and I truly hope they are the exact same the next time I visit. My flatbread was also good. Ample portion with flavorful toppings, cheesy and slightly crunchy with a tasty bread. Pairing these two smaller items together left me full but not stuffed. My wife enjoyed her salad but did note that the chicken didn't seem as fresh as usual and the dressing was way too much. Next time, she would order the dressing on the side so she can control the amount. Our 2-year-old picked from our plates but her palate is much more discerning these days and we're lucky if we can get her to eat mac and cheese. We will be back and you should check out 1916 as well.

It's a great place for sushi lovers to be able to dine with their 'I don't like raw seafood' friends, with lots of choices for both. I love raw fish but for those who don't, I highly recommend the spicy crawfish roll. The cajun seasoned crawfish inside is something I wouldn't have thought of as a sushi ingredient but it's GOOD! My favorite part - they'll gladly customize anything on the menu for you, including modifications to make your meal safely gluten free. (They even have gluten free soy sauce - just ask!). The portions are big and the dessert options will hit the spot for even the sweetest sweet tooth. Our server Alexis was patient and attentive, and the sushi chef, Tyler, was happy to answer all of our questions. The vibe inside is fun and laid-back. There's obviously a Rock n Roll theme with guitars on the walls and TVs showing music videos. They keep the music loud enough to be enjoyable but not loud enough to hinder conversation. Even the bathrooms fit the vibe (and were clean!) - think: glitter snow leopard wallpaper and neon signs. Under new ownership and the management of the lovely Melany, the Lithia location not only offers an enjoyable dining experience but also has a patio with games and kids activities and a full calendar of events like themed evenings (hello, 80's night!) and paint and sip or yoga on the patio. If you're looking for a place to have a working lunch, this one fits the bill for that too - even having multiple USB charging ports and outlets at each booth.
