First time here, we were in the area & saw they have chicken lemon rice soup which is hard to find in Fla, only the Greeks make it! The soup was delish; I got a grilled chicken Caesar salad & unfortunately I had to ask for fresh lettuce, what they served me was old & wilted. We had a very bad experience getting takeout at this location. My daughter and I ordered the Swedish meatballs (which they are not, they are Italian meatballs cut in half with some weird sauce). I am partially Swedish, so I know what a Swedish meatball tastes like. Both my daughter and myself got food poisoning from the meatballs. I was tested for both the flu and Covid and it was neither. We both had the same symptoms and got sick pretty much at the same time! There were 8 of us who ordered food and we were the only ones to get the meatballs. Never again will we order food from this location. UPDATE to the above mentioned situation. I called the restaurant to let them know what we experienced and to ask for a refund on the food that made us sick. The owner never got on the phone or called me back. He had his manager, Tatiana, call me and apologize and told her to tell me I could come down to his restaurant and talk to him face-to-face. I don't know if he was trying to intimidate me but I don't appreciate his "couldn't-care-less" attitude about the experience we had. I think refunding our money would have been an appropriate response, not come down to that garbage bin you call a restaurant to talk to you face-to-face! Good luck to anyone who eats at this dump it is like playing russian roulette! read more

Food is subpar. Soggy and cold patty melt was not what I was expecting. The soup wasn't any better. Cold, salty and lumpy. The owner tried to make it right by giving me a small discount but I barely ate my food and he should hav taken it off the bill. I will not go back! read more

Everything was excellent and food was HOT (temp). Chicken fried steak was the best I have ever had.

We went in on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away, the staff were very friendly. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of red skins and I ordered the SFBA omelette with toast. The food was good overall, it wasn't amazing but it was ok. I also ordered orange juice but they had the bottled one so I wasn't a fan of that. The place seems a bit new since there's little decoration and tables seem to be a bit scattered. read more

Went to Mario's for lunch today. I already know about the great breakfast they serve. Waffles, omelettes, pancakes, crepes and numerous eggs Benedict choices. Today I had a Parmesan grilled pita with chicken Ceasar and homemade potato chips. So good. Large portions so I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Becky, the manager, remembered us from our last visit. This is place is so many things. Your favorite breakfast spot. The best place to eat lunch. A great place to watch sports. Called in a breakfast order to go since the reviews were so good online. First issue was that we went thru over half the online menu before we got to an item they were still serving. I was completely perplexed as to why a business would neglect to update their menu online, but we got past it. Once I got there the waitress was accommodating if a little brisk, but again, got past it. Once we were home, the food was below supar. I don't like to be harsh, but it was truly terrible. The hashed brown potatoes were so full of grease they were inedible and the muffin on the Eggs Benedict was not only never toasted it was soggy with a sauce that was supposed to pass for Hollandaise... not even close. Again, I literally couldn't eat it. The poached egg was the only part done well. My son had a classic breakfast and it was not good either. Bacon had no flavor, potatoes were greasy and eggs were overcooked. The pancakes were middlin. After all the rave reviews all we can deduce is that this is a local bar with a specific clientele who all know the owner and know what to order and what not to order, etc. Mark my words, the food is not even passable, and for almost 50 bucks we certainly won't be going back. read more

Headed back from Naples on a Friday night we were looking for a bar with some food and tv's to watch a game. My wife found this place on Yelp and it was a gem. Great customer service, vibes, and food, couldn't ask for more. All of the food is made fresh and the owner Mario puts in a lot of hours to make sure this place runs smooth, even came over to greet us once he heard we were on vacation from Connecticut. We also appreciate the bartender Barry who was passionate about the place and gave us some good menu recommendations. I opted for the Greek Chicken Pita served with Lemon chicken soup and my wife got the Fried Chicken Sandwich which also came with house made chips freshly made as they were still hot. The food was spectacular, very generous portions. The other unique thing about this place is they have a section of the restaurant with some booths that resemble a small little diner. We found ourselves driving back from Naples to fort myers late on a Friday night looking for some dinner. We usually plan ahead but this was a random find, on Yelp. The place had glowing reviews. It had a fun vibe, tons of sports TVs which was perfect for my husband. We opted to sit at the bar and had great service from the bartender, I think his name was Barry. He said he liked the food so much here he decided to work there, he was really passionate about Mario's and they're lucky to have him. He gave great recommendations on the menu too. All other staff we encountered were great too. I got the fried chicken sandwich that came with fresh fried potato chips. I was vey happy with my meal. My husband got the Greek chicken gyro and subbed chips for lemon chicken soup which he really loved. Of course he had some of my chips, they were one of the best parts of our meal. Draft beer selection was great too. If in the area we will be back and we def recommend it to others in the area. The owner was there too that night, he was really welcoming and it was nice to see the face behind the bar. They also have breakfast too, so it's also a little bit of a diner. Stopped at Mario's after 9 PM on a Sunday. There was still a small crowd at the bar and ac few patrons seated at tables. Even though we have been there in over 6 months, we were greeted warmly by the owner, Mario and given choice of seating. As soon as we were seated a waiter appeared with menus and offered to get us drinks from the bar. The large menu boasted a large variety of dishes as well as upscale breakfasts available anytime of the day. Our drinks arrived and the waiter offered to take our orders. My wife ordered a chicken Cesar wrap and I had one of the speciality burgers. As we waited for the food to arrive, we watched the game on one of the several tv's located around the room. Due to the wide open design of the seating area, we could watch any game we cared to. Shortly our food arrived. Both meals featured large portions presented well. My burger with onion rings stacked atop was skewered into position with a steak knife. My partner observed I would have to unhinge my jaw to eat the burger. Lol. Her wrap was equally impressive. It was a great stop. Even though closing time on Sunday is 10pm we never felt rushed. The food was delicious, service attentive and prices reasonable. Neither of us could finish our meals. Dinner, beverages, tax and tip less than $60. The only negative I could suggest... the lighting was pretty bright in the dining area. Not sure if it was because we were close to closing or if that was the norm. It just seemed to have a cafeteria feel. A a little cozier and I'd give it another half star!
