This was our first time at Ford's Garage. We were seated very quickly for a Friday night. Franky, our server was helpful and fun. Not afraid to take time and chat and point out some of the more popular items on the menu. Our food came in just the right amount of time. We ordered The Estate Burger with fries and the Brisket Burger with tots to share. The Estate burger was our favorite of the two. Juicy and a great blend of flavors. The fries and tots were good. Nothing fabulous but good enough. We enjoyed the decor and the uniforms worn by the employees. My husband is from the UP of Michigan and is a Detroit Lions fan so this brings us back to our family and friends in Michigan. One of the most engaging restaurants we've visited - it was quite entertaining to see all the signs (with some fun mechanic humor), innovative ways that they used autoshop and car parts as decor/fixtures, and the food selection was very inclusive as well - so there are options for vegetarians, omnivores (me), and carnivores. We came with family and we had the Green and Clean burger (not pictured), whilst hubby and family had Ford's Signature and the High Octane. Both were delicious and the service was impeccable - they checked up on us, and even helped us find the credit card we left behind after we came back for it. The veggie burger held its shape well, the patty had a lot of ingredients like beans and a variety of spices and other vegetables, and the brioche bun was soft and buttery. Everyone left content. One of the funniest poster jokes that still tickles me when I think of this place goes along the lines of " minimum:$100/hr, If you watch: $150/hr, If you help: $200/hr." This is the place to visit if you enjoy car parts. Although, the burgers are expensive, it's located in a busy shopping plaza, so their baseline costs of operation will demand that they charge a higher rate. A normal burger runs about $15.99 to $17.50. All in all, it was a good experience and will recommend. read more

I am always looking for a new place to go. When I saw Ford's my eyes lit up. I couldn't wait to take my dad. He's a retired mechanic so I knew he would appreciate the ambience of the place. Well he didn't wait for me to go but we did go when I came back to visit. I love it! It's everything and more of what you'd expect from a theme restaurant. Amazing! From the tire sinks to the clasp napkins rings; they have it all. If you've read any of my other reviews, I'm sure you can guess I got the nachos with grilled chicken. Yummy. Oh, and they have fresh jalapeños! (You have to ask for them) They were a little over cooked but I mean it's nachos and I'm not going to not eat them! I highly recommend a "pit stop" to Ford's Garage even if it just for a drink. It's definitely something to be seen. read more

Solid experience dining here! The ambiance and vibe is always very relax here, and the people working here are all really friendly. Food is solid. While they have a pretty extensive menu, the main items to get here are their burgers. Lots of solid choices with nice and meaty patties. It was a crazy weekend in Gainesville. Family weekend in addition to Gator football vs Texas Longhorns Shockingly our reservation for 9 people was held with hardly a wait to sit on a very crowded night. Yes, they were running low on some supplies, but our waitress Steff was on top of everything. She didn't present us with any problems without solutions. It was a really fun vibe. We sat at the bar. The "Mechanics" aka bartender/waiting staff were very friendly and entertaining. There is a sand bar embedded in the hammered copper countertops for placing your beverage so that the wetness of the glass drips into the sand instead of the counter. Very clever. I'm was thrilled to try this magnificent place. The ambiance is jaw dropping. This fine establishment is called Ford's Garage for a reason. Not only is there cool Ford merchandise, but the inside of the restaurant has garage decor as well. Their menu is Ford style as well as their happy servers. The menu was filled with excellent choices but my boyfriend and I chose the Brisket Burger meal. I chose fries as my side and my boyfriend got the loaded mashed potatoes. I dined here for the second time last night with a party of five. We were quoted a 45min-1 hour wait time. We had a drink at the bar while waiting and it was about 45 minutes until we were seated which was fine. This is the second time that again the ticket times for our food were 45 minutes and my food came out with the wrong side. Our plates were never cleared and our drinks were not refilled. A very fun, kitschy place in Gainesville. The place has a great selection of Ford wearables and collectibles. There are also restored antique Fords displayed throughout. We were seated on arrival and our server, Sebastian, arrived nearly as we were seated to see if we needed anything while we were reading the menu. He returned with water and took our drink orders and answered our questions about the menu I had the Thai Chicken Salad with peanut dressing, incredibly delicious. My wife order the Chicken Cob Salad, which did not seem the shrink in size. She ended up taking at least half home. My brother in-law went for the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccoli. And his wife the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both were substantial meals. Sebastian continued to be very attentive throughout our meal. The experience was completely on point. Atmosphere was cold and loud, though they seated us (a couple) in front of the door--not an intimate setting for a date. The Firestone shrimp were fresh, juicy, with a creamy buffalo sauce. Nothing creative, but they were cooked perfectly and I would order them again. The Black-N-Bleu burger was mediocre and contained a foreign object. The patty was thick, a touch dry, and unseasoned. Not enough bleu cheese to taste great. On my second bite, I bit into an extra plastic medium-well stick, very scary! If I swallowed it, I might've had internal bleeding. The manager assured me she will coach the grill team, and offered to comp my meal. I feel she really should've done more, since I could've been in the hospital ER tonight with a massive bill. I deducted two stars for the foreign object and one star for service. I may return and give them another chance. read more

Was really excited for this new burger joint in town, but was sadly pretty disappointed. Ordered the High Octane burger but with chicken - sounded good with chipotle ketchup, romaine, tomato, onion, and fre jalapeños. However, it sadly didn't make the cut. It took more than 45 minutes to get our burgers, and when they came out the food was honestly pretty cold. The best part of our meal were the tater tots and the creamed corn with jalapeños. Maybe the beef burgers here are worth it, but for someone that doesn't eat beef, the alternatives are sadly lacking. Obviously, take my opinion with a grain of salt as I'm knowingly reviewing a burger joint, and didn't eat the burgers. That all considered, the venue itself is cool and well decorated, lots of TVs. I ordered the Pub burger, medium - medium well, partner ordered a salad/beer, and child ordered a burger and "fresh" fruit cup. We were told that kid's burgers come medium well. My burger was raw-rare. Inedible. I took 2 bites, but couldn't continue. Extremely undercooked. Also didn't receive the special cheese for the fries. Waitress was very nice and offered to have them remake it. 30 min later it hadn't come but everyone had long finished. Asked to just nix the order. The kids burger was pink, but edible. Fruit was either frozen or from a container. Definitely not fresh as on the menu. They took mine and the child meal off the ticket. Waitress has asked the manager to come by and they never did-- which is fine. Nothing really for them to say or do. Must have been busy making sure other orders were bad ;) Still, with just the salad, one beer, and a 4.99 side of fries, the ticket was... 31 bucks. I still feel we paid too much. We live in Jax and love coming to Ford's garage with our boys (ages 6 and 10) whenever we are visiting family in Gainesville. Our server tonight Leslie was kind, knowledgeable and so accommodating!!
