Cost me over $ 130,- and I can assure you what I received did not look anything like the food in the video. And they left out half of my order. The burgers were disgusting and the tater tots were beyond bad...someone in the kitchen dropped the shaker of salt n the food. They left out my burger, fried and pretzels. Door dash was useless as usual and got frustrated with their orchestrated "I'm sorry" I called the restaurant and got Amanda who was lovely and sympathetic but unfortunately also could not help me. Where do I even begin? The restaurant closed at 11 pm, and we arrived about an hour before closing. Unfortunately, they were out of several items--no Michelob Ultra draft, no nachos, no ribeye steak, and no Monte Cristo sandwich. Out of the five of us, three had to find alternative food options, and one person didn't order at all. How do you run out of nachos? And a Monte Cristo--it's a fried sandwich, how is that not possible? To make matters worse, our server, Tania, didn't check in with us after our food was delivered, and it was cold. We had to ask for more drinks, including beer (which is a pretty obvious money-maker). When a restaurant falls short on so many items, you'd think the manager would come out to apologize, right? But no--Manager Cindy had the server relay the bad news, even after we were already told once about the missing items. Fun ambiance, but it's very loud/overstimulating (for those with hearing problems/ADD). On Sunday, they have brunch until 3PM. Food: 1. Onion rings are deliciously crunchy. Highly recommend. 2. Seared Ahi Tuna is very tasty but not served with a traditional soy sauce, it's a thicker consistency maybe with honey? Anyways, if you add wasabi to it then it has enough of a kick. 3. But because we were once super Yelpers, we were granted the abundance of being invited to the Ford's Garage in Gainesville soft opening. OMG, Ford's Garage knocked it out of the park! Two thumbs way up! I was excited about this opening because we had a wonderful, amazing time at the Ford's Garage in Orlando long ago. I will add a pic of us with our server Brandy! The reason I bring up Brandy here is because the car key takeaway from Ford's Garage is the people they hire. Ford's does an AMAZING job of finding big strong outgoing and very loving people! Staff and Service is off the chart! And they are well staffed, ya gotta put enough boots on the floor so that they can do their job. Ford is staffed up! And from what I could see the staff is also well trained. I gotta give the Ford management and staffing people a super a+! Okay, so the food, ugh. This is hard for me because I understand the pressures on a big corporate chain's Executive Chefs. The menu at the soft open was kinda predetermined, and we had a fried pickle appetizer that I wujld never of my free will order because pickles are too salty for me. But these were good for what they are. I also had a Salmon plate that was every bit as good as Bonefish grill would serve up around the corner. It was over seasoned, and a wee over cooked, but very good for this type of restaurant. The pub burger we ordered rare, and they actually served it RARE! That is the rarest thing ever! You have to love that! And that goes back to good training. Perfectly cooked and served burger. Oh and the salad was solid too. I have looked forward to this restaurant opening and it did not disappoint. This will be a great addition to our town, and many wonderful, amazing memories with be made here. We had a table of 5 on a Saturday night. We expected a wait and ended up waiting an hour and a half for a table. Once we were seated, our server came over and took our drink and appetizer orders pretty promptly. They didn't take very long to come out and the drinks and appetizers were very good. When we ordered our burgers, it took almost an hour and a half for the burgers to come out. The server came over and apologized multiple times for the wait. When the burgers arrived, half of our food wasn't prepared correctly and the other half just didn't prefer it. We ended up sending some food back to get it prepared to our liking and ended up waiting another 30 minutes for it. At this point, all of the tables that arrived after us had left. I'm not sure why our table specifically got so far behind in the kitchen, especially when two plates were veggie burgers. By the time we got the newly prepared meal, we were ready to go home. We were going on 4 hours of being there-from the time we waited for a table to the time we got a check. Multiple managers came over to apologize and they did comp our meals. We did appreciate the effort and customer service that they provided. I'm assuming they were short staffed and they were doing their best to keep up. I think at this point, we've all been there. Even though it was an extremely long evening, the staff that spoke with us were very courteous and tried their best to make it right. After leaving when I got home I noticed they gave me a grilled cheese meal instead, I called to let them know because when I picked it up, she said grilled cheese and I clarified it was the chicken and she apologized and said she misspoke and on the order and receipt it said chicken. So I called and was so surprised they offered to comp the whole meal. I said they didn't have to do that the veggie burger was fine I was just mentioning the kids meal because of the price difference if I could just get a credit for the difference and they covered the whole thing, which was completely unexpected. The second time, I just got the veggie burger, and it was just as good as the first time. It tasted like a homemade veggie burger, and the fries were delicious too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's kind of expensive. Yeah, the idea is cute with the old trucks outside and garage theme inside, but it's not a place I would go to every day or think of as a fancy place. Went to Ford's this evening for the first time i was joined by two colleagues married and continuing world traveler. The atmosphere was erratic confusing n absolutely no one in charge in sight. We were handed off to four different individuals before finally being seated. We sat in the alfresco area which was covered but the floor was covered with leaf litter. The server never introduced herself. Ordered a Vodka Martini extra dry shake not stirred my friend ordered some brown beer. We ordered dinner. The martini never saw a bottle of vodka was stirred and beyond room temperature about half full tasted like olives and remained remarkably lol when we left the room it was still that way. Regarding the food the food was as described in the menu the preparation was expected and very good. I was the only one that felt mine was not prepared as asked for n expected. I asked for a medium burger and received a dry overcooked burger. All n all have no complaints about the food but the organization the ambience the cleanliness of the outside area n the bar on a scale of 1-5 1 the worst n 5 the best. Overall 2.5. Hunter Roberts. Good food, Buffalo wings are meaty and crispy, with more blue cheese than most places. Plus, blue cheese has substance to it, not watered down like some other restaurants. On another visit, I had a burger on a brioche bun that was excellent. If you sit at the bar, there is a cool strip of frosty ice that runs along the entire bar to keep your suds cold. Not sure it makes a big difference, but got to love the concept. Staff is courteous and friendly. Who could ask for anything more? read more

Ford's Garage is one of the newest additions to the ever-growing Butler Plaza. I went after work on a Thursday night with some colleagues and the place as packed. Make sure to call ahead, as this helped our party of 9 people get a table easily. Our server, Xavier, was so friendly and energetic. If you go, cross your fingers that he is working. I ordered the pub burger, which came on a pretzel bun and had warm and creamy pub cheese melted over the mushrooms, lettuce, and crispy fried onions. I was surprised with their impressive drink menu and they have a happy hour M-F from 2-6 PM. New time I would try one of their interesting takes on the Moscow mule. The only negative from this experience was that in being offered alternative to my french fries, I wasn't told there would be an extra charge for substituting the sweet potato tots. I came here once and the wait was over an hour so decided to come on a non-weekend evening. It was quiet on Tuesday night and we got seated right away. For some reason though it still took about 5 minutes before a server came over to greet us and we were ready to order already. The server was friendly and that's why I've given 2 stars total instead of one. I ordered a burger and my friend ordered a chicken sandwich and asked to add coleslaw to it. When the sandwiches arrived they seemed to be branded with the logo of the restaurant. It seemed interesting but essentially burning the top of the bun or making the bread carcinogenic. Anytime consumables are burned they become carcinogenic. Sure, I'm eating a burger which is already burned in some ways, but needlessly burning the burger bun as well doesn't make sense and is not healthy. Look it up. The food otherwise tasted alright, but nothing too special, the Top downtown or Dick Mondell's have better burgers. They served a very small amount of fries next to the sandwiches which was a bit of a disappointment and when I asked for a side of ranch to dip my fries into it came out half full. Just made it seem like they were skimping on everything. The coleslaw side, which is was very small and just standing Cisco packaged slaw was $4.5 extra. Nothing homemade about it and definitely doesn't justify that price. All together paid $51 with tip for 2 sandwiches and a drink. Server was friendly when she was around but was quite absent and only saw her maybe 3 times total over the course of an hour. -------- Never heard back from the company either, these are bogus generic responses and nothing comes from them. read more

This place has some wonderful reviews so we were looking forward to dining at Ford's. Today was our first (and likely last) visit to Ford's Garage. To start, their atmosphere was fun if not a bit loud, which is to be expected. The restaurant was playing music, but I do need to note that someone seemed to change the music in the middle of songs playing, and that was a bit distracting. We went on a Sunday afternoon, the waitstaff was very friendly. We were greeted by the hosts and quickly seated as there was no wait. Our server, B, came by to introduce themself, and they were honestly the best part of our dining experience. B was knowledgeable about the menu and some options and was happy to check in on us while we decided what to order. It isn't an enormous menu, but they do have some good options. We ordered two burgers, one was the Estate Burger that comes with truffle fries, and the other the Black and Bleu burger with coleslaw instead of fries. Additionally, we ordered a side of Mac & cheese. The Estate Burger was ordered as rare as possible, and the Black & Bleu medium rare. Well, both burgers were wrong. The black and Bleu was cooked medium-well despite the stick in the bun that indicated that it was supposed to be cooked medium rare. There was a noticeable lack of Bleu cheese on this burger, but the bacon was nice and crispy. The coleslaw portion was so tiny. It was free to sub for the fries, but it looked like a sad afterthought. The Estate Burger was cooked well-done with 0 pink to be found. I regret not taking pictures. The red onion jam that came with the burger was tasty, but I couldn't get over the texture of the overcooked meat. I also didn't find the truffle fries to have any hint of truffle flavor or oil. I couldn't smell or taste any. I honestly think they just gave me regular fries. The side of Mac and cheese came in a little black plastic pot but was only maybe half full. The spiral cavatelli noodles were a nice touch and cooked perfectly, but my Mac and cheese was cold, and unfortunately it's just cheap Velveeta cheese and not worth the 5.99 to order as a side, in my opinion. I did let B know about the burger and showed them that it was wrong and they immediately apologized, ready to offer solutions to fix it, get a new one, or take a new one to go. Overall, the staff and atmosphere are good reasons to stop by, but generally, the cost for the food, portion sizes, and quality does not add up. read more
