This was hands down the best burger I have ever had! We were looking for somewhere with a good burger that we hadn't tried and we found Fords Garage!! We had a group of 5 and everyone was blown away by the flavor! I had the estate burger and it comes with all kinds stuff on it so I won't try to name them all. I uploaded photos of the menu so feel free to check them out! My wife and sister in law both had burgers with brisket and my brother in law had a pulled pork sandwich. We also had the buffalo chicken dip and it was amazing also. You can't miss with this place! The only complaint I have is the service could have been a lot better. We asked for refills and our server stopped at the next table and took orders and forgot our refills. She then did the same exact thing the next time we asked and forgot them again. Not a great experience. Had a reservation for 6:30. Got there and was told it would be an hour till we were sat, even though we had a reservation. Complained to the manager who was trying to help, and yet arguing that it wasn't their fault they were unprepared for how busy it was on a game day and parents' weekend. Got sat after about 25 minutes, and would have been way longer if I hadn't complained. Then we ordered and the server said it would take "a really long time" to get our food because the kitchen was backed up. He was right. Basically it took over an hour from getting sat till we had our food. Such a shame for a restaurant to be run so poorly. They lose out on the revenue, servers lose out on tips by the tables not turning over, and guests have a bad experience and don't want to come back. No ownership of the short comings by management. And at the end of it all, the food was just ok. We won't be back. read more

The Blackened Salmon was perfect! The seasoning was so delicious! It was moist and flaky. Amazing Mac & Cheese. The sauce is creamy and savory and elevated by the cavatappi noodle. Here's the thing. It's a heavily themed burger joint based off a Ford Motor. I surely wouldn't think that makes for the most exciting theme but I was pleasantly surprised. They did an excellent job even down to the bathrooms and usually with a theme this heavy I expect the food to not shine at all. While it's not the best burger I've ever had it's the kind of place you might take your parents and they'll have a good time. I wouldn't suggest Fords as my first pick but it's big time grab a beer with your coworker after a long day kinda vibes. read more

Decided to take my wife here for lunch this past weekend. When we arrived, they were on a short wait of about 15 minutes, which wasn't long. The place had a lot to look at, but was loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Our server, Dylan, greeted us promptly and took our drink order. We asked for a little time, because this was our first visit. About two minutes later, Dylan returned and asked if we were going to get any appetizers and we again asked for a more time. For the record, we do like to be rushed, so we automatically decided we would not order any appetizers. After deciding on our orders, we motioned for him to come back and placed the order. My wife had the brisket burger with tots and I ordered the full rack of ribs with fries and a side of mac-n-cheese. The order came out in a reasonable amount of time. My wife enjoyed her burger and tots, but as for myself, I requested fresh fries as they seemed either overcooked, or left under heat lamps too long. Dylan said he would get another order for me, which came out a couple minutes later. The ribs had a funny taste to them with bbq sauce which was cooked on them and then saturated before leaving the kitchen. Instead of bothering Dylan again, I just scraped the loose sauce off. As for the mac-n-cheese, it had very little cheese and did not have much of a memorable taste to it. During our meal, Dylan must have checked on us about six times, which was good. Before ordering I asked if they had a military discount and they did, but when the check was brought, Dylan forgot to add the discount. Got lured into ordering with DoorDash after viewing some videos of this restaurant ( The one that they went to was in Orlando) I ordered exactly what they had. Cost me over $ 130,- and I can assure you what I received did not look anything like the food in the video. And they left out half of my order. The burgers were disgusting and the tater tots were beyond bad...someone in the kitchen dropped the shaker of salt n the food. They left out my burger, fried and pretzels. Door dash was useless as usual and got frustrated with their orchestrated "I'm sorry" I called the restaurant and got Amanda who was lovely and sympathetic but unfortunately also could not help me. Fun ambiance, but it's very loud/overstimulating (for those with hearing problems/ADD). On Sunday, they have brunch until 3PM. Food: 1. Onion rings are deliciously crunchy. Highly recommend. 2. Seared Ahi Tuna is very tasty but not served with a traditional soy sauce, it's a thicker consistency maybe with honey? Anyways, if you add wasabi to it then it has enough of a kick. 3. Husband enjoyed the Estate Burger and was pleasantly surprised that they will actually serve the meat cooked rare and medium rare. The burger patty is hand packed and never frozen. Yum! 4. The salad was underwhelming and served without dressing (?) which was annoying that I had to wait until our server came back around to check on us to ask for vinaigrette. 5. The frozen margaritas are great. 6. They were out of the Carmel apple cookie dessert so we went with the brownie which was good but the icecream on top had ice chunks in it (refrozen) TL:DR Feedback: 1. Service was slow and people around us were served their orders before us although they had similar items and even the same appetizers & entrées. 2. If noise is a concern, I'd recommend not eating inside where the car above the bar is constantly honking and beeping. It's fun at first, but can make having a conversation nearly impossible. 3. So, I do not write Yelp reviews sense the day during the pandemic when Yelp fired my husband as an Elite. Yelp, the company, can be petty, personal, and very hateful. But because we were once super Yelpers, we were granted the abundance of being invited to the Ford's Garage in Gainesville soft opening. OMG, Ford's Garage knocked it out of the park! Two thumbs way up! I was excited about this opening because we had a wonderful, amazing time at the Ford's Garage in Orlando long ago. I will add a pic of us with our server Brandy! The reason I bring up Brandy here is because the car key takeaway from Ford's Garage is the people they hire. Ford's does an AMAZING job of finding big strong outgoing and very loving people! Staff and Service is off the chart! And they are well staffed, ya gotta put enough boots on the floor so that they can do their job. Ford is staffed up! And from what I could see the staff is also well trained. I gotta give the Ford management and staffing people a super a+! Okay, so the food, ugh. This is hard for me because I understand the pressures on a big corporate chain's Executive Chefs. The menu at the soft open was kinda predetermined, and we had a fried pickle appetizer that I wujld never of my free will order because pickles are too salty for me. But these were good for what they are. I also had a Salmon plate that was every bit as good as Bonefish grill would serve up around the corner. It was over seasoned, and a wee over cooked, but very good for this type of restaurant. The pub burger we ordered rare, and they actually served it RARE! That is the rarest thing ever! You have to love that! And that goes back to good training. Perfectly cooked and served burger. Oh and the salad was solid too. I have looked forward to this restaurant opening and it did not disappoint. This will be a great addition to our town, and many wonderful, amazing memories with be made here. Where do I even begin? The restaurant closed at 11 pm, and we arrived about an hour before closing. Unfortunately, they were out of several items--no Michelob Ultra draft, no nachos, no ribeye steak, and no Monte Cristo sandwich. Out of the five of us, three had to find alternative food options, and one person didn't order at all. How do you run out of nachos? And a Monte Cristo--it's a fried sandwich, how is that not possible? To make matters worse, our server, Tania, didn't check in with us after our food was delivered, and it was cold. We had to ask for more drinks, including beer (which is a pretty obvious money-maker). When a restaurant falls short on so many items, you'd think the manager would come out to apologize, right? But no--Manager Cindy had the server relay the bad news, even after we were already told once about the missing items. As someone visiting from out of town and never having been to a Ford's Garage before, this was a terrible experience. I definitely don't recommend this place. Unfortunately you have to leave one star, otherwise it would be zero. read more

We had a table of 5 on a Saturday night. We expected a wait and ended up waiting an hour and a half for a table. Once we were seated, our server came over and took our drink and appetizer orders pretty promptly. They didn't take very long to come out and the drinks and appetizers were very good. When we ordered our burgers, it took almost an hour and a half for the burgers to come out. The server came over and apologized multiple times for the wait. When the burgers arrived, half of our food wasn't prepared correctly and the other half just didn't prefer it. We ended up sending some food back to get it prepared to our liking and ended up waiting another 30 minutes for it. At this point, all of the tables that arrived after us had left. I'm not sure why our table specifically got so far behind in the kitchen, especially when two plates were veggie burgers. By the time we got the newly prepared meal, we were ready to go home. We were going on 4 hours of being there-from the time we waited for a table to the time we got a check. Multiple managers came over to apologize and they did comp our meals. We did appreciate the effort and customer service that they provided. I'm assuming they were short staffed and they were doing their best to keep up. I think at this point, we've all been there. Even though it was an extremely long evening, the staff that spoke with us were very courteous and tried their best to make it right. I think with this being a new restaurant and with the challenges of staffing these days, they are still working out the kinks. read more

I've been a fan of Ford's for several years. Having been to the one in South Florida, the difference is they have lobster mac & cheese, which is delicious. The one in Gainesville has shrimp I believe. The burgers are great as well as the atmosphere and service. I love Ford's. read more

I've gotten to-go food here twice now. The first time, I got a veggie burger and a kid's chicken finger meal. After leaving when I got home I noticed they gave me a grilled cheese meal instead, I called to let them know because when I picked it up, she said grilled cheese and I clarified it was the chicken and she apologized and said she misspoke and on the order and receipt it said chicken. So I called and was so surprised they offered to comp the whole meal. I said they didn't have to do that the veggie burger was fine I was just mentioning the kids meal because of the price difference if I could just get a credit for the difference and they covered the whole thing, which was completely unexpected. The second time, I just got the veggie burger, and it was just as good as the first time. It tasted like a homemade veggie burger, and the fries were delicious too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's kind of expensive. Yeah, the idea is cute with the old trucks outside and garage theme inside, but it's not a place I would go to every day or think of as a fancy place. Good food, Buffalo wings are meaty and crispy, with more blue cheese than most places. Plus, blue cheese has substance to it, not watered down like some other restaurants. On another visit, I had a burger on a brioche bun that was excellent. If you sit at the bar, there is a cool strip of frosty ice that runs along the entire bar to keep your suds cold. So I come in an after 5 minutes Hannah says she'll get right with me, after some time Enzo comes over because he sees that Hannah is either too busy or only focused on catering to tables she think will tip her well. Half way through my meal I order another brew with Hannah and she gave me the wrong beer an I saw her but I didn't want to be a prick so when she came to bring me my beer I asked her if it was voodoo an she said yes but I wasn't.. she later end up giving me a free beer but I can't help but feel like I was stereotyped an given less quality services until we spoke..this statement about one person doesn't speak for the whole BOH OR FOH I later went outside kinda, they have a bar outside like an it was smooth vibes... This place in general is awesome, the beer is fresh... the customer service is decent but of course people have their days an biases.. when a older couple come in they should get the same quality service as a single guy dressed casual like me.
