My wife and I had a great car buying experience with Foreign Affairs Auto. Our sales person, Anesh, was a true professional. There was no pressure to buy and a great assortment of cars. The prices on their late model BMWs, Mercedes Benzes and others European cars are much more reasonable than other dealers. The dealership has large glass doors that lead to an impressive service department. Most dealerships we have seen would not want to show off their service bays. This place is a rip off ,a joke,no honesty whatsoever went to replace a daylight savings bulb I got from Brahmans BMW for 22 dollars the manager older gentleman with white hair told me to take it back cause he sold the same bulb for 17 dollars and he would put it in for me for 142.00 out the door he said BMW is more expensive. When I went back to BMW and told them what he said the service tech came outside open my hood screwed out a plastic peace took out the bad bulb and replaced it with the new one and the process took about 5 minutes.,and he didn't charge me a dime. I never went back. He said that place is a rip off . The only other place is honest is Cupelli's automotive on Lake Worth road. My advise is don't go here. read more

It's tough to give independent and local businesses a bad rating. But I don't want someone to experience the same issues I had with this place. Many years ago this business came highly recommended from a friend. Needed a battery - was charged $500 pricey but cool. A year or so later I bring the car back to be serviced from miami where we live for an engine shaking issue. They had the vehicle the entire day, didn't fix; didn't clean it, and never called us. We had to keep calling to check on the status. We are told to wait so they could clean the car before returning so we did. Of course come 5pm at pick up the car is filthy and we were told they couldn't replicate the problem so nothing was done, a waste of a day. After writing a review regarding this and being mindful of clients time/work day, the service manager I want to say Yoranis, a woman reaches out encouraging us to give them another try. We explained our hectic schedules, distance to your shop, and hesitancy to trust them, but all in all we genuinely wanted to give you all another shot, because again you came highly recommended. Almost a 2.5k quote for various items we paid for $1500 in service, restoration exterior work, an engine mount replacement and a fuel flush. We had spark plugs replaced and oil changed days later at half the price elsewhere. They had the vehicle for 3 entire days. While with the vechicle we very clearly asked for an ENTIRE inspection. Not visually but physically to ensure the car would be safe given our schedules and how much we drive. Literally the day after we picked up the car we get home and the next day the engine light comes on. So we call and express this to the service manager who has the audacity to tell us she will have the charge us to look at the car again!! Woman get a new job not in customer service. What a terrible attempt to retain a customer. No thank you. Let me drive another 1hr from miami for you to have my car for a day maybe more when you just had it for 3, oh and empty my pockets some more why don't you?! Less than 2 months later (yesterday) my car completely dies in the middle of this highway!! Engine dies. Due to this and the bmw safety gear locking mechanism my tires were destroyed getting it on to the tow truck because the car couldn't get into neutral at this point with the engine malfunctioning and it was dragged on, I'm out 4 brand new run flat tires ($1k+) which we had just bought and now are already in for another 1k at another shop trying to diagnose the engine issue which should have been resolved at FAA!!!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone and share my experience to anyone if asked. Take better care of your guests!! Simply shocked that we trusted them again. Thank you to Chris for hearing our concern, being understanding, empathetic and offering a "free inspection" but I'm not paying to tow my vehicle 60 miles back to you guys for a third time to be ripped off yet again. When you bring it back to be fixed properly they see a young woman come in and think they can take advantage of you and try and charge you more. then they try and get you to trade your car in and buy one of there cars and screw you more. This is the worst place on earth to bring car. They don't replace any parts and charge you for new parts. Always ask them for the old parts. 2 years ago I brought my wife's X5 over there for a simple problem. Mr Frank asked me $6500.00 to replace my transmission and said to me this is the only option to fix this problem. I didn't believe It and I took the car some place else. I spent $350.00 to fixed It. First visit to Foreign Affairs. Was very impressed. Our BMW needed two repairs as per the dealer service department for over $3k! The repair didn't include 2 new tires (which it should have based on wear and needed repairs). Foreign Affairs technician picked this up and the estimate including the 2 new tires was less thank BMW service's quote! I like that FA uses BMW parts and offered me a same-day service. I also love the offered me a 3 oil change package for less than what I'd pay at BMW. The waiting area was clean, they offered me a drink while I waited (several times), and a free hand wash was included! We will be returning to complete the work!!! read more

We all want 4 things from our auto repair shop: Professional expertise, honest repair recommendations, reasonable prices, as well as on-time performance. At Foreign Affairs I experienced all of that. After a very professional examination, the service management team reviews the results very thoroughly with you. I switched to FA after my 4-year service contract expired for my 2015 Audi 8L TDI. I sought them out after much research mandated by dissatisfaction at my local Audi dealer. I have now taken my car in for the necessary service three times over the last 2 years. When I needed new brakes, the service manager pointed out that I needed them only on the front wheels. When I needed a special part, FA suggested I go back to the dealer since it was still covered under a special 10-year warranty. A professional visual examination revealed that a wire conduit was being cut little by little by a metal overhang inside the hood. Had I not had it repaired it I could have had some major issues on the road sometime in the future. My service experience has been par excellence at a reasonable cost. I recommend them highly. This is one of those "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" Scenarios... The lobby is inviting, even for my two kids. I was offered an espresso by the owner himself immediately. I was quoted $60 less at carmax for a tire AND STILL decided to go with these guys for the first time. I knew by paying a bit more that I would be better taken care of. The personalized attention has a certain value to it and I always pick quality over all. I had an appointment for 2 pm during the week for and oil change, filter, and rotate my tires. I arrived a bit early and they asked me if I wanted to wait or was leaving the car, in which case he was going to call me. I was told that they needed 2.5 hours when I made the appointment. The 2.5 hours came and I decided to stop by and check on the progress. On arrival I discovered they had not started the work. They somehow thought their was no rush and they were closing in a half hour. They immediately started work and finished in 40 minutes. I feel that they dropped the ball with what I would considered a simple maintenance job. read more

Update: Once Jonathan learned of the sequence of events he apologized for their mistake and reimbursed me for the repair. All good! ***************************** Confirming my Skepticism that this place lacks integrity: i took my car to a service center in Jupiter to get my Engine Oil Gauge replaced (which Foreign Affairs Auto said was broken). To my utter surprise, this new service center calls me back in an hour claiming that the Engine Oil Gauge was working fine. They also said that the amount of oil was about two quarts less (reminder: Foreign Affairs Auto has done an oil change for me about 3-weeks prior, & told me that the Engine Oil Gauge was bad and asked me to spend $589 to replace it) and that is why my message center on my console was asking me to add oil. They added two quarts of engine oil and the error message was gone. I subsequently called Foreign Affairs Auto but they never called me back. All these events obviously lead me to conclude that Foreign Affairs Auto was probably trying to rip me off. This is the 3rd time i had a similar experience at this place. I had also complained to BBB about them but no resolution. *******Below was my initial review***************** Foreign Affairs Auto: First, a quick review of events: I dropped my car off on May 10 at 7:30 AM for some basic maintenance: i) an oil change, and ii) a tire patch. And I spoke to Jonathan about these issues. Later that afternoon I then called Jonathan at 3:08 PM and asked him if the job was finished. He said it was almost finished but he realized that the battery was from 2012 and needed replacement. I told him the battery has been working just fine and I did not want to replace it but wanted to know how much it would cost to replace. He then called me back at 3:10 PM and told me it was about $400 installed. I told Jonathan not to do anything beyond what was already done (i.e. the oil change and tire patch). Jonathan then told me the car was ready but it needed washing and he would text me when it was ready. At 3:48 pm, I got a text from Jonathan reporting that the car is ready with the ':-)' (smiley face) in the text. Specifically his text was "Car is ready :)." Reasonably expecting the car to be ready with the planned oil change and tire patch, I got dropped off at Foreign Affairs Auto at about 4.35 pm - at which point Jonathan tells me that there was a problem with the engine oil measuring gauge not working properly. When I told him that it had worked fine before, he asked how I would know if it was working properly or not (which was somewhat surprising). I explained to him that the car 'drinks oil' - so every few thousand miles the oil gauge reports that a quart of oil must be added - and I have always done that, and that's how I knew that the gauge was working just fine (and since I had just added a quart of oil a month prior). Jonathan seemed a little surprised, but said that "it's like a light bulb which can go out anytime." For some recent history on the oil gauge situation: I had purchased the oil from "ASR Engineering" and i had added a quart on 4-9-2019, and also got the gauge checked after adding the oil - and the gauge was fine since it reported "OK" after they added the oil. While Jonathan was inside the shop, I spoke to the gentleman who was at the computer and reported to him that I was a little distraught and even more concerned about the engine oil gauge going bad - apparently while under the care of Foreign Affairs Auto - since it was working just fine before. He repeated basically the same response that Jonathan had given earlier, but Jonathan said - or implied - that there was no way of me knowing that the fuel gauge was not working and that it can go bad at any time. But I told him how I knew for sure that it had been working - at which point he backed off a bit. And, as the basis of my overarching concern here, I also told him that this is the second instance that a situation such as this (i.e. an apparent oversale at least, and perhaps something of even deeper concern) has happened to me while having my car serviced at Foreign Affairs Auto. After my prior repair, I was told that one of the bulbs of the headlights was bad. As soon as I pulled off of the lot after my oil change I did realize that one of my headlights stopped working (one of the bulbs apparently went bad). So I took it back and they said the same thing - that it can go bad anytime. That may be true - but the concerning thing is that there seems to be a pattern of such things working just prior to the car going into the shop and then ceasing to work while the car is at the shop (e.g. i) oil gauge, and ii) headlight lamp & bulb). At least from the customer end and by using any objective, reasonable person standard there seems to be a lot of circumstantial evidence (i.e. a preponderance of the evidence) that supports that conclusion. read more

Avoid this place. I mean it. I hate the dealer and will avoid the dealer at all costs for the usual reasons of cost, etc. This place is worse. Have now had my car three (3) times for same rather uncomplicated issue and have screwed it up every time, and gave me the added bonus of about 15 scratches on the interior. All of this for a cost savings of about 20%. The, when making appointment for 3rd time trying to fix the car was promised a no cost rental car. Instead owner states "I don't have to do that." Yes you "don't have to" but your staff promised that and it is reasonable and I already paid for rental cars twice. read more

I'm very satisfied with that decision. Joseph Brunn spoke with me on the phone, received me, explained solutions in detail, emailed me estimates and photographs of my vehicle's issues (wasn't just the fuel pump), and allowed me to choose courses of action in a professional, trust-inspiring manner. While I waited in their comfortable, elegant lounge, I was offered refreshments and was accommodated warmly. My review is long overdue and my timeliness doesn't reflect anything bad or negative on Foreign Affairs' part because they were awesome from the start. I found Foreign Affairs through a Google search of the car of my choice, a 2011 Nissan Juke. I was attracted to this car's body and style and it being a crossover vehicle, perfect for my growing family. Upon finding my car on this site, I was amazed at the low price (thousands below what other dealers were asking for the same car), the most features and LOWEST miles than I had seen anywhere else! I thought to myself, for sure there's something wrong with it. Not to mention, the car being a manual transmission which is was also my preference, all other's I had seen were automatic. I couldn't have been more wrong, the car is perfect. Another feature that Foreign Affairs offered were CarFax reports which I saw came with each and every vehicle on their lot. No paying for a report on a car that you may not even buy! My salesman, Anesh, was even more unbelievable in service. Although my interest wasn't buying one of their high-end European cars (which are also competitively priced, btw), my service and interaction with him was nothing short of professional and courteous. His interaction with me over the car buying period was patient, informative and again PROFESSIONAL. He even held the car there for me for a WEEK until I had the opportunity to make it to the dealership. Once I made it there, I felt like the only customer that mattered, he assisted me every step of the way! After having my car for now two weeks, I couldn't be more happier. Frank runs an excellent enterprise. I have bought two Jags from FAA and can vouch for the honesty of their service department too. Recently I was unhappy with a decision I made to convert a suspension system to a more economical one. When I did not like the resulting ride Frank offered to restore tHe original system at no additional cost. That's class. I finally decided to leave the suspension the way I had ordered it, but it meant a great deal to me that Frank was so willing to stand behind his recommendation and work that he would go to such lengths to ensure his customer's happiness. I would not buy from this dealer again. Purchased a Volvo c70 from them a few months ago and was assured the car was in great shape and everything worked. I flew in to pick up car and the fuel door would not open, to their credit they did repair this while I waited. Then you could not put fuel in the tank as it had a bad check valve in the line, my thought is a dealer should be selling a car that is actually usable.....guess I was wrong as they told me I purchased the car "as is" and then said I should have purchased the extended warranty for over $2500 which would have covered repairs. They have offered to pay for half of the repair costs on the fueling system in hopes that I would recommend them to others. No chance on that. I was assured over and over that everything had been checked out on this car, lets see.....fuel door would not open, could not add fuel to tank, cd player does not work, drivers side door panel is broken, cup holder is broken, and now suspension system has problems. That does not sound like a car that was checked out by a mechanic to me. Stay away from these guys!! read more

Anesh was very responsive to my initial request and met me after business hours so I could test drive the car. The vehicle was priced just right, unlike the cars I was considering at my local CarMax which were overpriced by $4,000 or more. It was a true pleasure to deal with Anesh and Jonathan as they were very efficient and had my paperwork ready for me when I came in to pick up the car. They were also very fair with the trade-in value of my existing car.
