Not a fan of writing bad reviews but the management of this place straight up SUCKS! The owner is a greedy and stingy person. She charges outrageous tax if CC is used, appointments are never honored. Additionally they burnt my lip so bad one time that I had to go to a dermatologist for a prescription cream. Thank you but never again! read more

Just had one of the worst mani/pedi experiences. My gel was removed with fingernails (so disgusting!), i have gel all over my cuticles, everything was rushed yet took two hours and i paid 80$ with tax! Rip off! Never coming back again. read more

I've been going here for a few years and was always happy with their service. Vivian is great. But I went there last weekend with my husband, and he had a strange experience. He wanted polish on his toenails, but he hadn't picked a color, so the woman just ignored him. So then he picked a color for his fingernails and gave it to his manicurist, and she just...never used it. I don't know if this was due to the language barrier or if she thought men shouldn't use polish or what, but it was very disappointing. I won't go back. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had. The woman who gave me a mani/pedi had the nerve to tell me that I had to leave her a cash tip and the tip I was planning to give to her was too small ( 20 percent). I don't carry cash and when I told her that she told me I could go to the ATM next door for cash. Need I say more? Seriously this was just awful. I do not find this funny. I find it sad. read more

Had the worst pedicure here on a rainy sunday afternoon. My boyfriend decided to treat me for a little pampering. This place is right across the street from my house so I thought how convenient. I dont want to knock the entire establishment because I know this experience is solely based from my pedicurist. My bf got a regular MAN-icure while I sat to get a pedi. Lets just say my pedi lasted 10 minutes (im not kidding) while i was done dried off and waiting for my bf who happend to still get his hands pampered by his manicurist. what is wrong with this picture??? Great and clean place to get Mani/pedi/ wax for very reasonable prices. Extremely pleasant, talented staff, Anya is very experienced and great at threading eyebrows, face, owner Sara is very attentive, goes out of her ways to make sure every customer leaves happy and satisfied, I have been to almost every salon at Forest hills, no place beats the amazing work they do at Forest nails. This nail salon is awesome. The owner Sarah is a lovely woman, who is a great manicurist, devoted, and treats her customers like family! I have been going there since its inception. All of the manicurists are great! I have been using Olga, & she is wonderful & it is such a fun, relaxing experience. She has state of the art equipment, the Tuttnauer Autoclave Sterilizer! I stumbled upon this place randomly--I usually get my manicures at my local salon in NYC--and I must say I was very pleased. Not only was my manicurist very nice--I was had a cold and the manicurist asked me if I was OK and if she could get my anything, I forgot her name though--but she didn't rush me at all or make me feel like I was a nuisance. She also didn't badger me for a tip, etc. Even when I accidentally smudged a nail, she laughed good-naturedly and said "Everyone smudges; it happens!" Other salons tend to treat you like crap if you god forbid accidentally smudge. The salon is teeny tiny, but clean and neat and this is the BEST part--they used clean, fresh utensils on me, which the manicurist opened right in front of me! And when I told her I'd seen other salons in Forest Hills use gross, filthy nail equipment she made a face like, "you've got to be kidding, that's gross." Lots of regulars in the neighborhood. I'm definitely coming back and giving a pedicure a try! It's small, but cute. read more

I have had my nails done here a few times and my daughter once. The manicures/pedicures are great. My Pedicure lasted a long time without any chips. I went today- September 24th, for a pedicure and a 10 min back massage. I would have given this place 4 stars had it not been for the back massage. Terrible! She basically just pushed on my back while looking at her phone. (Which I saw only bc I got up quickly and she still had it open). $12 for that!! read more

I really liked my first visit to the Forest Nails 2 located on queens blvd, they have very welcoming and friendly workers! I had my mani/pedi 4 days ago and there is still no sign of chipping. I think the staff is very professional and they do their best to keep you satisfied. I believe her name was Anna who did an amazing job for me especially with my eyebrows!! The quality of their work is great and the prices are reasonable... The place looks beautiful and well cleaned. Everyone was very friendly and attentive!! Loved it. As I paid for parking, my friend went inside ahead of me for a manicure and pedicure. I wanted to get the same service but I needed to soak off my acrylic tips that I had already cut down. They charge $30 to soak off acrylic nails! I've never heard of such nonsense and the woman said its because it's a lot of work. That day, everyone had a long wait except Jade Fountain a few blocks up but all of the other salons charged, $8, $10, or $12 to soak. Needless to say, my friend took her feet out of the running pedicure water and we ended up both very happy once we ended up at Jade. Oh and since I soaked the entire time I got my pedicure done, the acrylic on my hands came off effortlessly with a nail file. "such hard work" read more

I got a gel mani here on sunday and on thursday, the GEL polish on my pointer finger completely chipped off like regular polish. I am not happy. What a waste of money. I will not return. I had a pleasant experience at the salon but this is unacceptable. read more

My husband and I came back here after having a good experience the first time. This time, I decided to get a mani/pedi and my husband got a pedicure. While we were getting a pedicure, I was informed that there was a 1.50 charge per person for credit card purchases which we were fine with. Both of the ladies did a fine job however, when I was paying, I informed her that I did not have cash for tips and she allowed to charge my tips onto my card. But then she came back to me asking me how much exactly to charge. When I told the amount, she made a sigh and said that's only 6 dollars. I then told her to add 2 more dollars to the tab and she took my card to charge. When she came back I noticed that she charged another 1.50 on top of my total bill. If you are keeping count, this is the 3rd $1.50 she had charged on ONE card for ONE transaction. That is an extra $4.50 that she had charged at this point. I think that's outrageous especially when it was all in one transaction. Due to this, my husband and I will not be going back and if you decide to go, I recommend bringing cash only in order to avoid their service fees. read more

I was so happy with this place until recently. It really depends on who get to do your nails. I got a gel manicure. It came off and started peeling 1 week later. Literally my thumb was off. And a couple days later the rest peeled. Usually it's hard to get gel off my nails and usually damages the nail. But this time it just peeled off as one piece and my nails were fine as if nothing was on them. Extremely annoyed, disappointed and upset. Not worth the almost 80$ I spent there for gel mani and pedicure. I would expect to pay less for the job done. read more

Cindy is my all time favorite manicurist ever - she's a doll and her manicures and pedicures are amazing. She works sooooo hard and they are always perfect. I also love Anna, she does amazing manicures and pedicures as well! The salon is SO VERY CLEAN, modern, beautiful. I enjoy the experience every time I go and although I have "cheated" on Forest Nails 2 by trying other nail salons near my job in NYC, or in other areas of Forest Hills in a pinch, they were always horrible. Now I refuse to go anywhere else! Nothing compares to Forest Hills Nails service and experience. You must go! Thank you Forest Hills Nails!!! read more

Great pedicure - quiet place - very clean

The worst!!! Get gel manicures all the time in the city and Jackson Heights but since I live in Forest Hills decided to pick a place in the neighborhood. Went in last Friday before going on the trip for work with gel on my nails I got somewhere else (lasted little shy 4 weeks) and got a gel manicure . They seemed clean and nice, and litter pricey but I was happy so went ahead anyway and gave a very good tip. And hour after I got home my gel on my nails started bubbling . I called and explained and they assured me that when I come back from the trip they will fix free ( most places will fix free under two weeks since that's the whole point of getting gel and not a regular manicure) . I went in today and as they are starting on my nails and removing the gel off ( which was all cracked and bubbly ) that I will be charged full price, blaming it on my nails being oily etc!!! Ha!!!! This has never ever happened before anywhere else. I got up and decided to go to crystal nail spa!! They could not believe it ! Crystal nail spa all the way!!!!! All my friends recommend other salons and they were right . Save your money and take it where is appreciated and you are appreciated as a costumer ! read more

$55.50 for a mani pedi and one pedicure. not an awful price but the job was not well done. my sister left the store with orange paint on her her brand new sandals. the pedicure i received was 10 minutes long, the lady cut my nails and put lotion on my feet and then painted my nails! I will never come here again because of the awful job that was done!!! all my nails are uneven in length and the polish was piled on. terrible service, dont waste your money here. on top of everything the lady pressured me into tipping more.
