Sue, the dispatcher, is curt and unprofessional. My husband and I have been stranded for 3 hours, we were told to try Foresthill Towing. I called twice, once to see if we can get towed to one place and that was too far so I called again to try and see if getting towed to a closer area than the original request would be possible. Both times, she sounded annoyed with me even calling... I suggest hiring a new dispatcher, one that knows how to adequately deal with phone calls and customer service. read more

Dude was quick in finding me...despite AAA routing him 1/2 mile south and on a different road. Many thanks to Driver Dude RC for his determination in locating me as I wasn't exactly right in town. Ok, I was way out of town and didn't have a tire iron. Or cell service. Or anyone knowing where the hell I was. Out in the canyon. By the river. But not in a van at least so points there. Just your basic walk a long long way uphill screwed kinda day. And pretty much all my own damn fault so at least I had company on the walk what with the voices-only-I-seem-to-hear arguing about knowing better about preparedness. Driver Dude was quick to complete the work and did it professionally. Clean. Done. Right. Very impressed. Only way I could have been more impressed is if I rode around all day with Driver Dude or find ways to call AAA every day for service. Yup. They towed my boyfriends car for us through AAA. The driver was extremely helpful and friendly. He really reassured us after the accident. I mean, nobody's really happy about having to call a tow truck. But I had a battery crap out on me in the Raley's parking lot 10pm or so on a Sunday night. I picked this company from Yelp due to its proximity to my location and he showed up in less than 10 minutes and got me going. I was able to get home before the ice cream melted. read more

If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. DO NOT EVER USE THEM AS A COMPANY FOR A TOW!!!! Here's what happened. I requested a tow from AAA and it was dispatched to Foresthill towing. I missed the call from AAA And sadly made the mistake of calling Foresthill towing based on the text I received. The phone answering the phone was not only rude but misunderstood the notes in the request for the tow. The chance to explain the issue wasn't available as I was told that we were a convenience tow and no matter what AAA will do to fix the notes because they misunderstood the issue even if they resent the request Foresthill towing will not come tow us because of what she understood the original notes meant to her. It was a misunderstanding on the part of the person that took the request originally and to leave a family with small children without aid in 115 degree heat is a disgrace. I understand that they didn't want to send a tow truck out of their area but people need a tow truck when they need the help and that's the business this company is in. In a time when people should be kinder this isn't the way to treat people. read more

If I had the time, I would explain in detail why to never use this company, and how Larry the driver treated us. When I confronted him about his attitude he drove away, and left us stranded with the broken down car. How they can be a AAA contracted company has led me to cancel my "PREMIER" membership that I have held with AAA since 2006. P.S. He happened to be in the same parking lot that we were in when he got dispatched to this call. Left us completely stranded today and then refused the re dispatch from Aaa. My 18 year old son was with vehicle entire time! I talked to the driver and said i am 2 minutes out and literally watched him drive off at the stop light. It was over 100 degrees and when AAA said it would be an hour i called buddy to take me to my truck while we wait 10 minutes away! I called AAA to have my vehicle towed from my house to my mechanic.AAA then had foresthill towing contact me to say they were going to be the ones to tow my car.After several calls from them to reschedule my tow because of other more important tows,and several hours later they finally said they were on their way.Now,they were thetowing company that towed my car to my house just 2 days prior with no problems whatso ever.That driver was extremely helpful and did a great job.2 days later they come to my driveway and proceed to the me that they will not cross my bridge and pick up the car.They were the ones that dropped it off though.Thedriver was rude and would not budge on this even though they brought the car to my house.After calling their office and speaking to a guy named Larry who was no help either.So they can tow the car to my house and drop it off but they can't come back and pick it up and tow it to my mechanic.This is rediculous,I won't ever use this company again. read more

We were involved in an auto accident last month in which our car was totaled. Foresthill Towing is who showed up and the driver Kyle, was very friendly and professional. Since we now had no transportation he said we were welcome to wait at their office until our ride came to pick us up. They were helpful as well when we had to deal with insurance. They really put us at ease at a time that was extremely stressful, especially since we're from out of state. read more

The only reason I am leaving two stars instead of one is because of the great tow truck driver who knows how to talk to people and have common curtesy and are not ridiculously rude like Carrie who is a dispatcher at forest hill towing. I don't know if she is always such a miserable, upset, easily irritated, just overall sh*tty person to deal with or maybe today she was having a bad day but even if that's the case it doesn't make it okay how Carrie thinks she can deal with customers over the phone. She should be fired or moved to some job like maybe cleaning The trucks instead of dealing with customers. read more

Today we contacted AAA for a battery change out. A local company was contacted but could only try and jump start. We knew it was a bigger issue than that. After another call to AAA about assigning someone else we called Foresthill ourselves remembering them from previous years. They agreed to come out. I called AAA back and was told they could request since we had reached out and the local couldn't help us but ultimately it was Foresthill's decision to go out of area. AND...they did. Oh Lord, where do I even start... I am not one to post reviews, but feel this one is needed... 10 plus year AAA member and 2nd time I have had Foresthill Towing dispatched to me in just over a month. First time (about 5 weeks ago) experience wasn't too bad, dispatcher and driver were friendly, just was inconvenienced by their "no drop" policy. First time I have ever heard of this when having a vehicle towed to a shop with a drop box. They tried to tell me it is AAA policy, yet I asked AAA and they said it is up to the tow company... I get it, they want to cover their ass... again friendly service just was inconvenienced. AAA sent this same company out again last night... dispatcher called me within 10 minutes, super friendly advised ETA was about 45 minutes... so I waited and waited and waited... almost 3 HOURS later their driver finally shows up! No call from their dispatcher and after several calls to AAA, I was extremely tired (it was past midnight already) and cranky to say the least. The driver was apologetic and said that he was glad his dispatcher was in touch with me in regards to the delay!?! I let him know that I never heard a peep from her after the original call!!! The driver was friendly, but his personal hygiene was HORRID!! I couldn't get within 5 feet without wanting to puke my guts out! Attempted to follow the driver to the shop (about a 40-minute drive), he was speeding the whole way (wasn't too upset about that since I wanted to get home), and not able to locate the shop... saw him fly by us several times... eventually had to flag him down and lead him in. I understand things come up, supposedly this driver was called out on a CHP call, I get that those will come before me... so why not send out another driver!?! Oh because he didn't want to and he can't do CHP calls (this was told to me by the driver) ... so you employee lazy drivers who don't want to do their job, and dispatchers who can't bother to let a stranded person know that they will be waiting for an additional 2 hours in the middle of the night!!! Completely unacceptable service!!! I am beyond disappointed in AAA for contracting with a company that does not follow through with their customers and would allow someone to sit and wait for an additional 2 hours past the estimated time of arrival! I brought up my disappointment with the AAA dispatcher, and even he agreed that they should not be contracted with this company and advised that the driver they were sending knew how to do his job, but was lazy and slow... next call is to AAA to complain some more! read more

This company is terrible! They are contracted by AAA to do roadside assistance and they should LOSE their contract! I had to wait close to 2 hours before they arrived and then when the (actually very nice guy), showed up he said for me to go ahead to my mechanics (which the car was being towed to) and he would be right behind me. I waited another 45 minutes for him to show up! His dispatcher had MADE him do another AAA roadside job, in route to my mechanics. Unbelievable! The actual tow guy was very good and did a great job of calming me down. i have contacted AAA and made a formal complaint. read more

My horse trailer's two right tires were deflated so I called AAA and they sent Forest Hill Towing. Jason could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful. Not only did he reinflate the tires but he checked them out and put my mind at ease that nothing was wrong with them other than someone wanted to ruin my day.... which after meeting Jason, ended up being a better day. Called AAA and they sent this company out to help today (Sunday 10-16). The dispatcher was very professional and gave us updates on the status. The driver (named Jay?) on the other hand was rude, unprofessional and barked orders at us - as if he was sick of his job and taking it out on us. Definitely the most unfriendly driver we've ever met. If I was his boss, I'd fire him. He's a bad for the company's reputation imo. If I have a choice, I wouldn't use this towing company. read more

My car broke down in Auburn on a Sunday afternoon and I live on the SF Peninsula. AAA referred me to Foothill towing. I needed a flatbed and they said they were not able to make the trip that day, but they offered to lock my car in their yard and deliver it the next morning. I was kind of a wreck being broken down away from home and Shasta was so kind and helpful. And my car was at the dealership in Colma by 10:30 the next morning.
