I found them on Instagram initially and knew that they had to be the ones to create my engagement ring! During my research, it was a pleasant surprise to see so many five star reviews for their business and it's very well deserved. My fiance and I are not based in New York City, but went to their showroom in person after making an appointment to try on rings. I highly recommend doing this--I went in thinking I wanted a pear (and truly no one does pears as well as Forever Diamonds does pears--I dare you to find another diamond vendor who creates more beautiful pear engagement rings and settings) and left with my heart stolen by a radiant, completely out of left field. Afterwards, we were kept in the loop by Adam and Roman about diamonds with similar specs in our budget as they became available. Adam selected a beautiful center stone for us that exceeded all of our expectations and was within budget and sent us tons of photos and videos so that we could see exactly what we'd be buying. Although we made a subsequent trip to NYC to confirm our choice and see the stone we selected in person, this is optional and the staff are happy to work with you virtually. When I inquired about their rings, Richard Myo reached out and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Prior to discovering Forever Diamonds NY, I had already purchased a loose diamond. Most jewelers don't allow an externally purchased loose diamond to be used with their custom settings or they at least charge a fee. However, Forever Diamonds NY is one of very few jewelers that allow this at no extra charge! Richard was even able to help provide a shipping label with insurance included so I can ship my loose diamond to them from Los Angeles. He worked closely with me to design the ring and even provided input that worked well with the ring size and the loose diamond that I bought separately. I had a budget in mind when I first inquired about a custom setting and although the pricing was way more than I initially anticipated, Richard was able to work it out where it was close to my budget. A long time ago I fell in love with their IG page so when I started looking at engagement rings I knew I wanted to go here. Roman was as amazing as everyone raved he would be. Long story short, I wound up choosing my grandmothers 1920s engagement ring. Now that being the case, rings were made differently back then and set very low. Roman and the Forever Diamonds team was a pleasure to work with. My boyfriend already had a diamond and we needed to find the right jeweler to have it set into an engagement ring. It's a marquise diamond which requires special attention, and other jewelers he visited just did not have the same experience or precision to create the right setting for this stone. We finally reached out to Roman to begin the process of creating a handmade platinum ring. Not only did he seem to share our (my) vision of the perfect setting, but his pricing was among the best. He was also gracious enough to meet a rather tight turnaround time. I went into the shop to find a comparable setting, and Roman took it from there. A week later he had the perfect ring completed for me. I was blown away at how beautiful the ring is, and how well they cleaned my diamond to really make it sparkle. Roman also offered to adjust anything on the ring that I may want changed. Both times I visited the shop, it was a pleasure to chat with the rest of the team and to see the other gorgeous pieces on display. It was like hanging out and chatting with friends! This review is overdue by a few months, but definitely worth sharing the experience. My boyfriend and I contacted Forever Diamonds NY for an appointment 2 months prior to the date we set it for. We set it up for a Friday. Went to New York JUST to meet with them (saw them in ig), we are from the other side of the country in Oregon. We landed in New York on Thursday. I called them the day before to confirm our appointment for the following day, and they completely forgot and said they were closed due to a Jewish holiday. The owner apologized up and down and asked what he could do to make it up. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, so we set an appt for the following Monday at 10am. Monday rolls around we arrive at 10am, and no one is there. We call him..... no answer. One of the assistants in the area called him, and he said he is stuck in traffic and will be there in 30 min.I found this extremely disappointing given the above experience. I spent 6 months creating my fiancés ring and gave gemkraft my business. Worst decision ever. Gemcraft not only didnt deliver in terms of vision, but remade my ring 3 times! Each time was recreated due to poor craftsmanship. Unfortunately I was nearing my proposal so went with whatever gemkraft created.
