Coooer started us with expectations and scheduling over the phone. He and Cody worked together as if it was one representative - we never had to explain ourselves twice! Cody and I walked through the job and expectations of 'beautiful on a budget'. He created the design idea on the fly, during the free consultation. The images he described were perfect for what we were looking for. Further, of the three companies bidding, Apex was the only company that agreed to do the full job of grading, drainage, and replace the landscape. Express Sunrooms was one of the most expensive quotes we received but they seemed like a trustworthy & reputable business. We decided to move forward and hire them for the job. After being told our job would take 2-3 days maximum, it ended up taking 22 days! I caught them using the wrong materials that wasn't agreed on in the original contract. While they did admit this mistake and correct the issue, it makes you wonder if this is common practice for them. The job site was left pretty nasty as times with materials everywhere. There is still metal shavings all over my backyard that nobody has come to clean up yet. At the end of the day, we are happy with the finished product but what an absolute headache it was to get us to this point. I would go with a different company if I had it to do all over again.

That crew worked extremely hard in record heat from 9 to 6 every day. They worked fast - not sloppy fast, but efficient fast; like they have done this a thousand times before. And they left the job site clean and orderly every day. Our agreement was that IW would build the structure and I would procure the door and windows, which they would install. We had to wait a few weeks for the windows, but IW came back and finished the job as soon as the windows were available. We got quotes from several builders, and IW's price was in the middle, but they gave me the most confidence that they could actually do the job. And I liked that they did not ask for any money upfront, but rather pay 25% at 4 agreed-upon stages of progress. We had a good idea of what we wanted, and provided IW with some sketches and approximate dimensions, and they did the rest. When there were design choices to be made, they laid out the options and let us decide. They did NOT nickel and dime us with lots of billable change orders. Our project was slow to get started due to a snafu getting the building permit (which IW handled completely ) but once they got started, they made amazingly fast progress. I heartily recommend Innovative Woodworks - these guys are pros!

They did our deck in 2016 and it's been nothing but…read moreproblems since then and now the ceiling underneath the two-story deck is completely destroyed by water because it was not properly installed. There are loose boards and the folding doors were also poorly installed. We will have to spend thousands repairing this and the workmanship is awful. Should have known when it took them months to finish the last 10% and they had to redo the ceiling twice.
