Food was great. Slow start because I think they were short staffed but once we got our drinks going all was a go. Definitely going back.

Meh -- sushi was just ok. Another reviewer was right the rice was not right -- service was pretty bad.

My husband and I stumbled across this lovely place on our way to Ramrod Key. Let me tell you, the sushi was so phenomenal that we ordered another roll! Also give the cotton candy pie a try, AMAZING! We waited awhile before being served drinks and then a bit longer before getting our food, but that was no big deal. The food was fresh and delicious. Loved the petrified wood tables and cold mugs. So glad we discovered this gem of a restaurant, not only do they serve sushi (my fave) but they offer a huge variety of other menu items. My group of 3 had spicy tuna roll, dill pickle sandwich, and black and blue burger. All were delicious. We also had potstickers and elote bites. Our party of 7 went in about 1pm. There were about 8 other patrons in the restaurant. The server told us to sit anywhere and he would bring us menus. Ten minutes passed before we saw him again. There were two kinds of music blaring in the restaurant, island music from one wall and country blasting from the kitchen. It was overwhelming and was starting to give us headache. Quaint little poke shop. Their name is Forks and Stix on the overhang, with Amazing Rolls (the online name) underneath. Anyhow, nice menu with a few standard sushi rolls and poke bowls to choose from or you can build your own. My brother got a (gasp) California Roll and I ordered the Key West Roll. Both had fresh and tasty ingredients with perfectly cooked sticky rice and nori wraps. I appreciated the chefs questions about how spicy, on a scale of 1-5, we wanted our ingredients and sauces. We love this spot! Right now the hours are last orders in at 4:30 so you do have to do lunch, early dinner. But so good, so fresh! We love the rolls, tuna tacos and especially the poke bowls. Last time we were there they had added the bayo buns. So good, we've been craving them every since. There deserts are also very good. So nice to have this gem in Big pine! read more

Just a fantastic little spot for sushi and homemade desserts. Not your typical sushi joint. They also do sushi "burritos" and fresh sashimi tacos. We had several rolls and all were delicious. Fish was super fresh and the owners are the nicest folks. Husband and wife team make incredible fresh rolls and husband proudly dotes on his wife's homemade cheesecakes and tiramisu. My wife said the tiramisu was maybe the best she'd ever had and the bananas foster cheesecake was impossibly good. Super chill island vibe with good tunes and a tiki bar look. Nice spot to get out of the hot keys sun. Cold drinks but no alcohol, but you can BYOB! Make sure to stop in and make this place a mainstay on Big Pine Key! read more

This is some of the best sushi we have ever had! We live in Chicago where there are a ton of restaurants so that's saying a lot! Agree - it doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is adorable and the owners and staff are fantastic - super friendly and welcoming. The sushi is fresh and absolutely delicious! We have had the rolls, burrito, tacos and bowls - highly recommend them all. They make it all right there in front of you and you can select the spice level, sauce, what ingredients you want. To top it all off - the owner is an OUTSTANDING baker! She sells by the slice. We just had a chocolate/raspberry cheesecake and a turtle cheesecake. Just like the sushi, some of the most delicious deserts we have ever had! This place is so worth making a trip to! A true gem in the Keys!!! read more
