I get bothered when my sashimi is cut too thick or too big, and this was perfect. I will say Between the 4 rolls, my favorite was the crunchy one (don't know which out of the 4 but the one with tempura inside). Service was good, we were seated upstairs which was a little cramped but no complaints given the busy weekend. No wait for a Friday dinner, so that was also a plus.

The yellow Sapporo branded motorcycle under the sushi bar was the centerpiece of the eatery and a cool addition - maybe it belongs to the owner. Sapporo is a light crisp 5% abv lager and the oldest beer brand in Japan. The ultra colorful wall mural brought some Japanese cartoony anime into the main dining room next to our table. Slightly pricey but the sushi was super fresh with big portions. The waiter was attentive and quick to take our order with apps and drinks out fast but we were a big party so it took a bit to bring the main dishes but everything was "made to order". If you're searching for good sushi that does not cause stomach cramps later, then try this place.

This sushi restaurant is really great! The ingredients are fresh, the rice is moderately vinegary, and you can taste the chef's dedication in every bite. Especially the salmon and sea urchin, which melt in your mouth and leave you with an endless aftertaste. You can't stop eating! read more

The broth lacked the salty, savory, umami flavor you expect from a good Vietnamese pho. I suspect they do not add fish sauce to the broth which is a critical component of any good pho. The restaurant also doesn't use traditional pho noodles, they use a larger noodle similar to a fettuccine. This wouldn't be a problem but it's a very small portion. They do serve it in a large bowl but for $29 you would expect it to be loaded. They do not serve the pho with any sort of accompaniments (bean sprouts, jalapeños, etc). Overall, the pho tasted bland and was not worth one penny of the steep $29 price tag. Basically a bowl of unseasoned hot water with basil leaves in it.

This was one thing that was standout and the reason I wouldn't rate it any lower. We had the beef skewers for $27 for TWO skewers of meat. They were pretty good but considering the size and the price, I would not order it again. $27 in most other restaurants would get you a little more bang for your buck. Finally, we got one piece of the bluefin tuna otoro nigiri and a krab avocado hand roll. I did not find the bluefin to be good at all, I regret ordering it entirely. The other person in my party enjoyed their hand roll. We also ordered two of the sake cocktails, they were okay. Bear in mind if you're going with non-drinkers or children that they do not serve any soda products here, only sake or water. The restaurant is pretty on the inside, but you can dress casual as it is not super fancy. The prices are too high for the food to be lacking. One or two standout dishes are not enough to make it worth it for me to come back.
