I started my journey earlier this year and it's been roughly 8 months now and I am extremely happy that I did. The studio, firstly, is very clean and well-maintained. You can see very clearly that the staff puts a lot of care into the space through their facilities and equipment. They enforce a no-shoes policy and recommend shoes off inside, which really makes it feel even cleaner inside. The instructors here are also very welcoming and understanding of each individual. I had a neck injury halfway through the year and had to adjust the way I did some of the workouts and I was not pressured to complete a workout if I felt I couldn't. You will definitely feel supported in every aspect of your workout here as the staff is very accommodating. I have always felt comfortable and safe attending a class even throughout my recovery. I have noticed that my posture, physical health, mental health, and body have gotten 100x better. I feel stronger every day and more confident as the day continues. Doing mat pilates over the years at home, you aren't certain you are performing the moves correctly but after joining this studio I can confidently do mat pilates on the days I can't attend a class. I've since moved further away from this studio and I still make my now 1.5-hour commute to come to this studio. They have many classes throughout the week and their app makes it easy to sign up. I love their class size of 7, though it isn't 1 on 1, you still get a very similar feeling since the class is on the smaller side compared to other studios. Overall, I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to strengthen their body inside and out. I've already invited several friends to join me and they have all loved it. Don't forget to bring grip socks though :)!

I called other places that just want to sign you not caring if they actually have room to take in additional students with the reduced class sizes due to COVID. Studio Square not only was up front on pricing, they advised me which classes were smaller so I can get the attention I need as a beginner. I have been going now for a month and the studio is clean and we wipe down each bench at the end of each session. The instructors are patient and they push you just a little to get the best workout possible. They also offer alternative for the excepciones for any issue you might have like my bad back.

However, I've noticed -- and discussed with a few other women -- that male clients have been brought into the workout area during scheduled women's classes, often as part of private or small-group training sessions run by coaches. This has happened in the same room where full classes are taking place, making the space crowded and uncomfortable for paying clients who expected a women-only environment. While this location doesn't require contracts, the membership is expensive, and it feels misleading to continue marketing the space as women-only while this is happening. If you are looking for a women's-only space for religious or personal reasons, please be aware that this may no longer be the case. Allowing this to continue without informing clients or giving them a say is not only inconsiderate -- it's ethically and morally wrong.

I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit, and people should invest in their health. However, a price tag of nearly $500 per month for access to both workout rooms feels excessive. It's disappointing because it almost seems like the exclusivity of being a women-only space is being used to justify the high price. A supportive, empowering gym should ideally be accessible to more women, not just those who can afford a premium price tag. If the pricing were more reasonable, I have no doubt this would be an amazing place to work out. Hopefully, they consider offering more flexible or affordable membership options in the future

I have been training with Leah Epstein for about a month and can honestly say she has motivated me to do things I never thought I was capable of doing. The studio asks clients not to wear outside shoes inside, but instructors wear them during class. They work muscles you didn't even realize needed strengthening. Each session is full-body focused and constantly reminds you to engage your core. When I first started, I could feel how weak my abs were, and now I can feel just how much stronger they've become. My legs are always on fire in that amazing burn-you-love kind of way! I've also noticed real changes in my body, not only in strength but in looking and feeling slimmer. There are only 11 spots/megaformers per class, and reservations open two weeks in advance. I LOVE BBB at Bayside because well first of all there is actual parking next door for it. Parking for a classes-only gym... In QUEENS?? Unheard of. But more importantly, everyone is serious about fitness and works really hard exercising, but no one takes themSELVES too seriously. It's not a popularity contest. It's mostly young professionals who are there to do their thing, hype you up if necessary, and peace out. The music pumps you up, and like my favorite instructor Carlos says, this place encourages you to "Eat something healthy and don't be a jerk".
