this place is a joke! the previous owners took care of your clothes and had great hospitality. new owners running it seem overwhelmed and don't know what they're doing or they just half ass the job. brought a jacket and pants in for alteration on 9/3 and was told to pick up on 9/8 after 5pm. came in on 9/9 and they spent a good 15 mins running around looking for my clothes. turns out they haven't even started on it yet which is RIDICULOUS considering the fact that i had dropped it off 6 days ago. i come back the next day expecting them to be done and they only have the pants completed, jacket is nowhere to be found. had me standing there for another 15 mins while they don't give an update and it turns out the jacket is still sitting on the table, untouched.. are you serious? the new owner tells the tailor to hurry up and do a quick alteration for me, no apologies given. i should've just left at that point. i ask for a discount at checkout and they tell me the best they can do is 5%... LOL. no accountability at all from the owner or a damn apology. take your clothes elsewhere unless you want them to ruin it. read more

I had been coming here for years to have my clothes tailored with no complaints. Unfortunately, my son had bought in 3 sweats pants for them to tailor and they charged him $20 for each "sweats" pants. Didn't ask for original or regular hem. $20!!! When I remember only paying $10. Wth!!! Not only did they over charge it but the pants were still too long. When I picked up the lady said he has 24hrs to bring it back in refix it. Brought it back the next day and said they dont offer that policy cause he self measure it. Then why tell him snd I that we got 24 hrs to bring it back and told him if anything he can get one redone for free. Horrible new owners who don't know what they're doing hot pressed a dry clean garment only and may have ruined an expensive Smythe blazer. They offered to fix it so I'm giving them one last chance. Never going back to this place after years of being a customer if they can't fix it and will be filing an insurance claim for compensation at fair market value. read more

I stopped by this past weekend to drop off some clothes, and I ended up witnessing something that really showed me why I keep coming back here. While I was waiting, an irate customer came in complaining about a "new" stain on a garment she'd picked up. The staff calmly pulled up the drop-off video and showed that the stain had actually been there when she brought the item in -- and both the customer and staff had discussed it at the time. The manager handled the situation with incredible patience and professionalism. She genuinely tried to make it right for her, even though they clearly couldn't take responsibility for a pre-existing stain that had already been pointed out. That level of transparency (showing the video) and calm, fair handling impressed me a lot. It reminded me of my own experiences here: whenever I've dropped off items with obvious stains, the team always points them out upfront. They explain that they'll do their best to remove them but can't guarantee results on set-in stains. They have a dedicated stain expert who consistently does a fantastic job on the things that can be treated. This place is truly great. The staff is helpful, honest, and skilled at what they do. If something can't be fixed, it's not for lack of effort , it's just the reality of certain stains. If I could give 0 stars I would... These new owners have a terrible attitude and seemed uninterested in providing good service. My clothes were still dirty and their prices are 30-50% more than other dry cleaners. On top of that, they only accept cash and for some reason there was a 3% credit card fee that you needed to pay upfront. Another customer behind me didn't need to pay this credit card fee for some reason and these new owners were discriminatory and unfair towards me. I will not be returning and I advise others to go elsewhere for their dry cleaners. read more

Been to a few dry cleaners in the area but I always come back to Formosa; probably bc they're nearby lol but they are the sweetest! Service has never been an issue; I even stopped by a day earlier than my scheduled pick up date, and it was ready to go. I usually bring the clothing a week before an event but I kept putting it in the back burner. Brought it in on Tuesday evening and told them I need it by Friday. Today is Thursday I definitely appreciate it since they always seem pretty busy. I've only done dry cleaning hopefully, I can try their other services soon and update this post! I entrusted them with altering my ball gown wedding dress, satin reception dress, tea ceremony dress and other clothing I needed altered that were a size too large on me. I had a pleated chiffon dress I needed to freshen up for a wedding I was attending as a guest. It was mostly clean but needed to be steamed straight. I knew it would cost more but to avoid confusion, I just told them to dry clean it. The lady was working on a sewing machine when i stepped in but quickly attended to me and examined the dress. Right away, she told me I didn't need to dry clean but she can help steam it for me. She noted the challenges of steaming a pleated dress but said she'll do the best she can. She asked me how soon I needed it and gave it to me a day earlier than I expected. I think it ended up being a ~$8. True mom and pops shop---honest and quality work. read more

I really wish I took before and after photos but you're just going to have to take my word for it because I forgot. Background story: I had a little too much wine at dinner and ended up tasting it twice, if you know what I mean. I was really sad because I had just bought the dress and while it wasn't a very expensive one, it was easily one of my favorites. Everyone told me to just give up because wine stains don't ever come out. Also made the rookie mistake of throwing it in the washer and dryer without pretreating. I thought that was going to be the first and last time I ever wore it. Brought it here a few days after the incident. The man who helped me said he wasn't sure if they'd be able to get it out but would try and to come back in a few days. I think it was $7-8 for the dress and I also got my coat dry cleaned which I believe was $25-26. First time I tried these cleaners. I dropped off 6 shirts and a pair of pants. The pants were new but I had a couple greasy food stains that didn't look too overwhelming. I pointed them out when i dropped them off but I took note that they did not place any red tape or anything else to bring attention to to the stain to the person actually doing the cleaning. When I got the clothes back the bill was $35 which felt a little pricey for 6 shirts and a pair of pants. Got home with the clothes. Stains still there on the pants but now set. And one of my favorite shirts was ripped in 2 different places. I'm sure they checked them when I brought them in and the shirt was not ripped. So not only did they not man up and tell me it was ripped, we're sorry. No ... I just paid $5 to get my ripped and useless shirt back. For them, it was better to be douchebags than to offer to replace the shirt or even to offer a credit on cleaning. Will never go back ever and will be sure to tell anyone who will listen. read more

I have been a customer since 2015. Overall their service was very consistent the last few years, but I don't know what happened recently I was very disappointed. I took two sweaters to dry clean. I asked to remove spots, the gentleman owner used blue spot tape to mark it. When I picked it up, I left in a rush and didn't inspect it. After I got home, the oil spot is still here. My other red sweater was not cleaned, the wrinkles were still there and my dog hair was also still stuck on my sweater. I went back the following day and the lady owner was arguing with me that I didn't give her enough time so she couldn't clean for me. Later she offered to re-clean for me without additional charge so I had them clean it for me again. I also would like to add, prices went up quite a bit the last year or two. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of years now and I love their service. They're open pretty late (7pm), which is a necessity for me since I work all the way in Rancho Cucamonga. They do all my dry cleaning and my tailoring needs. They have one or two (can't remember) fitting rooms where you can change if you want something altered. I even brought my 3-pound Yorkie in the fitting room and they were super nice about it. I'm a single doggie parent and I can't just leave my little guy in the hot car in the middle of August. The lady who took care of me loves my dog. Parking is super easy and free. You can either park in their back lot or on the street in front of their store. I see a lot of people park their car along the side of their building before you get to the parking lot if they're picking something up really fast. The only down side is that they do not have A/C. It's mostly bad for the workers. I'm used to the heat but hey - that's why their prices are so good. read more

I've come here twice for clothing adjustments and hemming, and the employees here have never disappointed. They offer really great value for their services, and are fair with pricing. I was able to get 5 pairs of jeans altered around the waistline for around $60, which is a great value. The woman who helped me was attentive and friendly, and the entire process of me trying out the jeans, showing her how I wanted them altered, and me paying and checking out lasted less than an hour. I was able to pick my jeans up a few days later. I recommend keeping your ticket so it's easier for them to locate your order, but they can also track your order on their computer. I have been using Formosa's services for years because of their timely and quality service but today they really impressed me with their honesty and integrity. I took in an old suit for dry cleaning today and we noticed there are tiny holes all over, turned out bugs have been feasting on the nice fabric during the time my suit was in storage. Instead of making some quick bucks by accepting the suit for dry cleaning, I was told there was no point in doing so unless I plan to wear it again, and patching up these holes would not only be expensive but also leave a lot of eyesores on the repaired suit. In the end I left without giving them any business today, but because they were looking out for their customer's best interest, I will be surely returning and recommend them to everyone in the area.
