    Passionfruit tea with aloe jelly
    Ariel D.

First time here because apparently Coldsun in Brea is closed and I need to find a new go-to popcorn chicken joint. Formosa feels very out of place for the mall it is in. I can see they were going for cute, but the decor wasn't quite there. But that's okay, because I'm here for the snacks and tea. We came in during rush hour. The place was empty and we ordered at the counter right away. Food took a little while to come out but when it did, we were hit with the delicious aroma immediately. It was obvious that everything was made to order -- super fresh, piping hot, and generously seasoned. Decent portion for the chicken and tofu too. My Taiwanese partner said the flavor of the food was reminiscent of night markets in Taiwan. Passionfruit tea and aloe was good too, really refreshing. I got 50% sugar, and even that was slightly on the sweet side for me. Based on other (much older) reviews, it seems like maybe I got lucky with the food this time. I'll be back again to see if the quality is consistent and to see if I've found my new TW munchies spot.

    1. This spot gives a lot of chicken, and the ice coffee float was refreshing! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes with lots of seatings! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! Since I ordered popcorn chicken, the entire order too about 10-15 mins! Note: They do have free Wi-Fi at this spot! Photo: Popcorn Chicken and Ice Coffee Float

Cute cafe in a large shopping area. We went there for bubble tea. There was only 1 person ahead of us so service was quick. Table and chairs available to hangout. This place also has a crane machine.

Not just one under cooked chicken MULTIPLE

Ive been coming here for a very long time and very disappointed with my visit today. I ordered a passion fruit drink and popcorn chicken. Food and service is usually good but today threw me off. Drink was good but the popcorn chicken was under cooked. Chicken was red and way to mushy. So I called to let them know and see how they would be able to take care of this and was laughed at by the worker who answered the phone. He asked me to return to the shop so he can look at it and I don't live close to them so I was not going to be able to return. He kept on laughing and saying that he's never heard of a complaint like mine and proceeded to laugh some more as if I was telling a lie i then proceeded to offer pictures of the under cooked chicken and as he received them he's proceeded to laugh even more. I've never felt so disappointed, disgusted, and disrespected from a situation that could've been resolved with a no worries come back at your convenience for a refund or a different menu item. I will be reporting their negligence to the city.

Love the popcorn chicken they have there. Very well seasoned and consistent every time I order. Plus they give you a lot for your money. Their tea is also good quality.

Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba (it was ok)
    Laura H.

After hanging out here with friends a handful of times, I feel that Formosa Tea Time is a pretty typical boba spot that also offers fried snacks and trendy desserts. I have only gotten milk teas here, and they were ok. Seems like they rely on sugary creamers, artificial syrups, and flavored powders, which are not my cup of tea XD The lackluster service from the staff directly contradict the cutesy decor and upbeat music (it was jarring, not gonna lie). Kinda wished staff were friendlier. I won't go out of my way to get boba here or try their new stuff. Prices are more affordable compared to most boba shops, but the drink quality and in-store service leave more to be desired.

(Current Yelp Check In Deal: 10% off purchase) Formosa Tea Time is located in the same plaza as Aldi's and Daniel's Home Center. You can find Formosa Tea Time next door to Charley's Philly Steaks with plenty of parking. My husband and I came here last Saturday, around 12:20 pm. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Almond Milk Tea, $3.75 + large size $1.50, prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. I wished I had ordered this to be made with 25% sweetener because this drink was way too sweet. I ended up adding black tea at home to this drink to lower the sweetness level (it lasted two days for me). Tiger Milk Tea, $3.75 +  large size $1.50, prior to tax- Same as my drink, my husband also thought his drink was very sweet with 50% sweetness (and he also ordered his drink to be made with no ice). He was surprised by the color of this drink because it looked like Thai tea and also kind of tasted like it too, although our receipt shows we ordered the tiger milk tea. ----------------------------- (Total= $11.31 after tax, prior to Yelp 10% discount) Wait time was about 6 minutes for our order after paying. If you need to use the restroom, you need to request for the key from the counter. I thought the restroom was clean but had tagging/ scratches in the toilet seat. Also the soap was severely watered down. Not sure if I would come back here for their tea drinks but possibly would like to try their food.

I love getting the osmanthus oolong milk tea from here! It's always freshly brewed and the price is more reasonable than other trendier places.I hate getting those pre-made powdery tasting ones, so this place is definitely a gem in Anaheim. Will be back

Rose Milk Tea and Popcorn Chicken

First time trying this small spot I got the royal milk tea it is so good !! I wish I wouldve gotten a large its just the right amount of sweetness. Popcorn chicken is good crunchy kind of salty the sauce is good. The service is good & fast. 1

This is my second go-to boba place! (Only reason it's not my first is because there's another shop closer to my house lol). All the drinks are so yummy and I love their cheese sticks!

Your typical milk tea shop. It seems like a nice place to study if you are looking to get some work done. Also if you check in with Yelp, you get 10% off your drink. I personally really liked my Earl Grey Milk tea! It was very floral and definitely very accommodating to my taste buds; however my cousin got the Jasmine Milk Tea and it tasted too much like powder. If you go here I would recommend getting their special milk teas, I feel like those definitely taste better! We also got the popcorn chicken which taste like your typical popcorn chicken, they definitely have a lot of breading on it so if you like the crunchiness this is the place for you! They also have different size cups and the big plus about this place is the price range is pretty nice for the size. The large is definitely LARGE! And if I was correct, the it was only around 5 or 6 dollars so quantity wise... it definitely is a bang for your buck.

I've been getting a little stir crazy at home and finally making the trek here was so worth it-- I felt more motivated than ever to get work done with a tasty treat. I'm not sure if it's because CSUF just started this week, or because I came on a Friday morning, but it was really spacious and open with tons of outlets (almost at each table). Not sure how other days are, but I'd love to bring my study group friends here in the future, since it's so hard to find places with enough space for study groups! Not to mention the clean bathroom haha and good wifi haha The staff here is also incredibly sweet and friendly, making it a comfortable and good experience. Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, and maybe it could've been heated up a little more, but I did wait a bit to eat it, so it was no big deal. The other barista was also so sweet in answering my many questions haha The only struggle as others have mentioned is the parking - I ended up parking at the retail parking nearby, which had plenty of spots but can get pretty pricey, and it sounds like you can park in the areas others have mentioned still (like The Hub I guess has "New Here" parking spots or the employee parking spots?), so I'll need to look more next time. But there's quite a bit around the area within walking distance, you can easily make a day out of it too. Also since it is at the first floor of an apartment in a college town, there will be students going in and out, so just be prepared for that haha -- reminded me of dorm days, and I'm glad students have a spot like this :) Overall, the yummy coffee, amazing vibe and beautiful ambiance, especially as a study spot, alongside the kind and comfortable service has been just what I've been looking for in a coffee shop around here, and I'm excited to return! Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.
