Words cannot express how stunning this place is! It felt like stepping foot in pixie hallow meets every magical mysterious fairy and fictional realm! The staff are all so absolutely friendly. We're here for a Tuesday Pokemon Tournament and it's just so fun! Ordered the Cup O' Comfort and subbed coffee for earl grey tea, and it is so yummy! The smores bar is also really delicious! The Millenium Falcon was soooooo good! The spot hit the spot! The brownie was super rich and thick! Absolutely recommend!

I happened to stop by Requiem Cafe during their Final Fantasy XIV collaboration. It seems they occasionally are host to various gaming, anime, and pop culture collabs from time to time, and are queer-owned. Upon walking in, my jaw dropped at how gorgeous and atmospheric the entire place was. It looked like nearly everything was custom made for the cafe, and made with love and tons of detail. There's a super cute little nook in the corner where you can chill secretly with your friends, beautiful tabletops for both board games, reading (from their small library), and cafe enjoyment, tons of hanging immersive decorations, and wall features that make it look like you're in a fantasy universe. Though the lighting is dim and colored, there's also enough proper light source to conduct any activity. Their bathrooms also have bidets. Should you want to dine outside, there's an outdoor themed patio. And if you want to game, there's a cyber cafe. The Final Fantasy collab was represented in mainly the entire menu change and cutout decor photo-ops. The menu had items that you'd expect to see straight out of a cartoon, and as suspected, existed more for aesthetics than taste; our drinks were too sweet and a bit more watered down than desired. If the refreshments matched the level of quality of the interior, this would for sure be a perfect cafe. While waiting for your order, it's fun to peruse the item shop, which had a lot of various trinkets and local artist merchandise. For the overly decorated areas, it seems you need to make a reservation to actually utilize the space, as there are strict usage requirements to aid in the upkeep and preservation of the effects. While inconvenient, I can see this is in place to keep the cafe continuously clean and beautiful. Even though I'd go elsewhere to eat or drink something good, it's worth supporting this business for the photos and vibes. I've never seen anything quite like Requiem Cafe, and I respect the effort and vision that went into this place.

There's street or paid parking to get here. You can easily spot it from the outside with their fun decor. But also inside has a chill nerdy atmosphere with unique decor. The staff are friendly and nice. They'll ask for your name and they'll call it out when your order is ready. They're pretty quick getting your drinks. They have a merch store connected. They typically have collaborations and themed drinks/snacks so it's good to keep track of the events. Also they have the fancy toilets if you're curious to try one. I tried the Warrior of Light drink. It was pretty tasty and light. Not too sweet which is usually most drinks. I got just enough marshmallow flavoring. The Korpokkur Kid was fairly decent. The oreo flavors is the primary flavor which if you really like that then great. I thought the puddingway flan was just okay but my friends like it. Overall, you're not coming here for high quality food/drinks but it's a fun place to hangout. And occasionally you'll find something nice. There is a liquid disposal bin in case you're not feeling your drink. It's definitely worth a visit to try out!

First time visitor. Very cool themed shop. Fantastical. Interior is supppper cute. Miscellaneous item shop for things to purchase. They have games and tables to play TCG. Patio area had very cute statues and heart shaped tables to lounge at. Drinks come out pretty fast. I had the tea salt butterfly tea drink and that was a unique taste. I already love butterfly tea drink but having sea salt in it was a unique experience. I haven't tried the food but I will be going back to try other drinks. There are parking lots, garages, and metered street parking.

Stopped in with friends for the FFXIV x Requiem collab. While requiem has been on my list of places to try for a while, I finally got the extra nudge to make the drive up from San Diego to check it out. Having a reservation definitely helped us when going in, but it wasn't insanely busy, probably could have walked in. The arrangement to get everyone who had reservations was pretty smooth and straight forward and staff were super on top of everything. Inside the venue is nice! I was hoping for a little more with the FFXIV decor, but we still enjoyed our time nonetheless. The growing light beverage was probably my favorite, a nice light drink that wasn't too sweet! My husband got the Such Deveststion which he enjoyed. The flan was unfortunately too sweet for us.

requiem coffee and tea is a place ive just been wanting to visit for awhile. dark and mysterious lol. i guess i visited on a day they were having some sort of event. it was a bit overwhelming lol. i was just there for coffee. there is so much going on once you step foot inside. but i like the concept. service was cool. ordered the cup o' comfort, iced. didnt taste any of the cookie butter ..maybe i should have got it hot? also did not get the cookie or the whipped cream like the photo LOL. parking: street parking or parking lot or parking garage across the way.

This place was beautiful inside! I was accompanying friends to an Ironmouse Pop-up and had no idea what I was walking into. I was completely-pleasantly shocked. I ordered the Anarchy Latte and the Flancitos. Both were great! I ordered the latte with Oat Milk for a $1.00 upcharge (lame). The flan was great, very dense and the sauce was so sweet. The latte did not look like what was advertised on the social media page page. The decor was GORGEOUS!! It felt so magical inside. They had a shelf with books for you to read while there, a table full of boardgames and card games. There was a side room where people were playing DnD and there was a bunch of merch you could buy. We parked on a side street across from the huge church. The bathrooms were a surprise!

What an amazing experience at the Requiem Cafe collab with Digital Circus!! It was cute little event that showcased some character themed drinks that were perfect for a Digital Circus Aficionado! The event was organized. The props were amazing. Thanks for bringing some joy to our day today!

my friend and i were in the area and wanted to try out requiem since we've seen it a lot on social media. it is a very spacious cafe with fantasy like motifs and decorations all around the cafe. one of my favorite areas resembled a tree trunk that you could sit in with your friends and chill, and overall the cafe just had a very magical vibe! i believe they have collabs occasionally with video games or anime, so pretty cool! also, the workers were all super nice and helpful with our questions. moving onto the drinks, i got the bananya brulee with a marshmallow foam on top, and it was overall just ok to me. the coffee itself is a pretty good coffee, but the banana flavor was not present at all, and the marshmallow foam was just a regular cream top. my friend got a rose latte, and it honestly tasted the same as mine. i would have loved it if it had more banana flavor as a puree or a cream.

This place in terms of cleanliness and decor never disappoints! It's easy on the eyes and quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation while taking in the environment and atmosphere. No matter where you sit, you'll enjoy yourself since every crevice has been filled from top to bottom with cozy decorations. The service here was okay! Every time I go it isn't anything special but the workers never are rude and insensitive. They are straight to the point and helpful when necessary. Nothing but respect for them all here :) The drink I ordered was a Beatrice inspired lemonade and let's just say it didn't last more than 5 minutes. It tasted delicious! As for the sundae, I'm not too big on pumpkin but this might have changed my mind entirely! I devoured this and left nothing behind. The waffle was freshly made and the ice cream tasted like genuine pumpkin -- not the artificial flavor one may get from other pumpkin related desserts. Overall, it was a great experience! It was my boyfriend's first time and he really enjoyed himself :) we will definitely be coming back.

This is the second time I've gone here and it was packed and no seating It took us about 20 min to get something it took awhile to get our drinks and desserts. Where we sat is a tree and inside one of the cubbies to set there was a couple with there shoes off and asleep who knows how long they were in there but I was in the establishment for about 40 min and they were asleep that whole time People get these sets in this area and fonr have drinks or food it's just to sit there and take up space It was really hot inside Unfortunately it was nothing like the first time we went I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unfortunately Drinks were okay kinda on the pricey side Desserts were tiny! And again pricey

What a fun little shop. This cafe has a dynamic and friendly staff., a section decorated like a cave A fun shop complete with computer stations to play your favorite online games. We came here for a collab signing with the new game "date everything" They have themed drinks in addition to their normally to arge drink menu that includes both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. For snacks they have some terrific onigiri, heart shaped waffles, and other treats. Is 4.5 hours a long drive for 20 minutes of fun? Yes. But if you are in anaheim, it is worth a trip.

I been coming to Requiem before COVID. This is my number one hang out spot whenever my friends want to play board games or catch up. I love them doing the collabs and having speciality drinks and food. It really makes this place special especially doing different events to keep the place not be dull. my only reason for it being 4 star is their cleanness. Their bathrooms need to be more clean and I know accidents happen but, the tables need to be wiped down especially if it's open and people want to sit down. Otherwise, I will keep returning!

Ask the Community - Requiem Coffee Tea and Fantasy

Is this place kid (not toddler) friendly?

If by friendly you mean you can sit and let them run around unsupervised? No. Otherwise yeah, it's got a lot of visual stimulation and a tv area and a tree they can check out, just make sure to keep an eye on them so they don't disrupt other people…

Is the "do not enter tree area" sign always up?

No, it was open recently and we sat inside.

Can I make a reservation for this place?

I don't think you need reservations, man. It's a cafe. I suppose if you have a big group, then you can call ahead.

Are you allowed to stay for a while to just write? I'm thinking almost 2 hours? Of course we'd get drinks and food?

Yup! Lots of tables and areas to hang out at for an extended amount of time. There are even TVs at some of the tables to watch and hang out.

I saw you do reservations. Does it cost to reserve a spot?

They don't ask for down payment. But make sure to do your reservations at least 48 hours ahead just so they can clean their special spaces!

What are their vegan options, in terms of food? I saw vegan food offerings mentioned in reviews, but I can't tell what's vegan from looking at their site. The drinks look like they can probably be made vegan pretty easily though :)

Most of the drinks can be made Vegan except the Tea Salt and the Dark Magician! The vegan food right now is the Vegan Kimchi Onigiri and the Vegan Banana Nut Bread

Do they have video games already there at the store or do you have to bring your own stuff?

They didn't have any video games when I was there. They only had one TV that people were watching, so I don't know how you would even set up a video game if people are using the only TV available.

Do they have outlets to charge my laptop?

Yes! You can find some outlets near the tables in the forest area and I think there's some in the corner table of the sci fi area too? But for sure there's the "reactor core" pillar in the middle of the sci fi area. That's the main place people use…

How big are the chocolate chip cookies?

Not super big from what I remember. Maybe a standard sized cookie? Not too small, not too big... less than the size of a CD I would say to compare.

Is parking adequate and relatively convenient?

Lots of nearby garages. Just remember which one you were at so you can get validation to the correct one!

Is this location kid-friendly? Thank you!

Yes I would say it is.

Is it possible to actually be productive and do work here😂?

Probably not lol I'd say it's geared more towards the gaming and having fun.

Can I stop by with my dog real quick to pick up a drink?

No, unless the dog stays outside or on the patio

Can we play games here with friends?

    Yes you can

The banana matcha was good too, although it could've used a little more banana foam this time. The lines can get pretty long, so I was glad it wasn't too busy today. My favorites are the fish sandwich pastry and the jalapeño cheddar pastry. This time I also tried the salt and cookie butter croissant, the s'mores Danish, the Nutella banana Danish, and the turkey and cheese croissant. Everything was good except the turkey and cheese croissant, it was way overcooked for my liking, so I probably wouldn't order that one again. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

Discovered this beautiful coffee spot a month ago and fell in love with their seasonal drinks…read more(strawberry vanilla americano and strawberry cold brew) so we have been coming here as a special treat for ourselves and told and brought our friends. However, today's visit felt different. We ordered our usual strawberry coffee drinks but they weren't pink. When I asked the barista about it she said the syrup has changed. The drinks barely tasted like strawberry and we were disappointed. I immediately regretted upgrading my size to 20oz too. SO I looked up other recent yelp reviews, and I saw that someone posted a picture of their drink 17 hours ago and it was still pink. That makes me question what happened to our drinks.

I really enjoyed my experience at Little Ox Coffee! Even though it was busy, there still were tons…read moreof seats available and the line moved quickly. The design of the space is clever---there are bench seats along the wall, long tables in the middle, and small circle tables on the sides. It's efficient and maximizes seating without feeling cramped or crowded. It's also an East-facing shop so it's shady--- even at 3 PM it was nice and cool inside. There are also some outlets! I would definitely study here if I was in the area. Gabe was really friendly, and helped me choose a great latte. I bought the Single Origin Okumidori Matcha iced latte, and it was the perfect level of sweetness. I didn't even have to adjust the level by some percentage; the standard blend is fresh, with just enough sugar to accent rather than overpower the beautiful matcha flavor. Huge shoutout to Gabe and the Little Ox Coffee staff!!!!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cute coffee shop popular with students…read more Came for an afternoon coffee meetup with a couple of friends. They didn't have a huge menu, but a good selection with some interesting offerings, like a pandan latte, which I enjoyed very much. One of my friends got a matcha latte and the other an iced americano. Drink prices were very reasonable for the quality, definitely cheaper than in LA County. On a Tuesday afternoon it was mostly high school and college students working, so us three middle-aged ladies felt compelled to keep our cackling down to a minimum. It was an open, airy place, not too large, with a large table in the middle with bar and bench seating around the perimeter. They also had a glass walled area with another large table, almost like a conference room with more people working. We sat at one of the bench areas by the wall, which had little round tables and stools. Can't say it was the most comfortable for prolonged sitting, but it was ok. All furniture was wood; if you're looking for cozy upholstered seating look elsewhere.
