    Iced horchata

I love this place! Their coffee is so good and service is always quick and friendly! I love coffee but when it's hot, you want it iced or blended. The coffee bean frappe is bomb!

I really wanted to like this location. But it's clear that the service here needs improvement. I came In around 7:30 with an empty drive through and no wait inside. I ordered two medium drinks and I got one small and was charged for two medium drinks. I also ordered two pastries which I requested to be careful warmed up, the cashier even repeated everything back to me and both were given to me cold. The barista that handed me my drinks didn't even smile or look up at me. It doesn't cost anything to acknowledge that I'm in front of you. I suppose I could've said something at that moment but honestly it's not mine or any customer's job to remind them of an order that they can clearly see printed on their tickets ESPECIALLY when it's slow. And this is coming from someone who worked at an incredibly busy high end restaurant. This is honestly extremely disappointing and unacceptable and whoever manages this location needs to do better in training the baristas in multiple areas and because of the lack of training I had to take a loss.

    Rice & Beans Frappe...excelente

Came back on a recent visit to this Tierra Mia Coffee because I was craving my Horchata Frappe. But, this time, I tried something different. With the help of the kind young man at the register, he suggested the, "Rice and Beans" Frappe, which is basically a play on words - the, "rice" is the Horchata, while the, "beans" are the coffee beans. It turned out to be really, really good! There is a bit of a crunch to this drink because of the grounded coffee beans. But refeshing and awesome. Now I have a new drink to add as a favorite from Tierra Mia!

Always good no matter which location. My go to is the Cafecito Cubano con leche iced along with a cheese delight warmed up, can't go wrong.

This place has always nailed consistency. You do not get a watered down coffee, nor one that is overly strong in flavor. The coffee here does have its own unique and bold taste that surpasses your typical Starbucks or other major coffee chains. My go to drink is usually the caramel frappé - great choice if you have a bit of a sweet tooth. I'm told the mazapan peanut frappé is also very enjoyable. I can't opine on the usual ambiance inside the restaurant as I always use the drive through. But from the outside looking in, the inside never seems overcrowded nor does it appear to carry an obnoxiously loud tone. The drive through line is usually accompanied by an outside friendly server to take your order. This helps move the line efficiently if you're crunched for time.

If you're looking to work or have virtual meetings at a coffee shop, this one is not it. I've seen a lot of negative reviews regarding no Wi-Fi or poor Wi-Fi and I'm happy to update that they currently have Wi-Fi now, but it is really weak. I had to use my boyfriend's hotspot the entire time I was here to work. There are a plenty of parking spaces and enough seating so those are fine, but my issue is mainly the poor Wi-Fi connection, as I wasn't able to focus or get any good work done. Also, the seating is definitely not ergonomically friendly (the chairs are comfy though), as the chairs are too low for the table and you have to elevate your wrists in order to type - no bueno. I tried the Iced Matcha Horchata Latte and it was a tad too sweet for me, but it got better once the ice melted. I will say the female cashier who helped me was super nice & accommodating so their customer service is A+. I most likely won't come back, or won't come back often, due to the Wi-Fi connection.

Crazy4TierraMiaCoffee... I just happened to stumble upon a great coffee shop years ago in Long Beach- Tierra Mia Coffee Drive Thru.. This..... is good coffee, strongly brewed, no bad aftertaste. Just totally good- the flavored variety of cold brews, frescas, teas, lattes, cream based drinks, is wonderful. I would actually go to this spot multiple times a week to stock up on the TRES LECHE MUFFIN. BEST muffin ever-Tres Leche muffin- oh my goodness like how, what, where, why? Glad for this tasty creation... Flavors are spot on and actually resemble the true flavor of a tres leches cake- milks included- Although there are alot of coffee shops in the area- I was looking for the special one that I so longed for in Long Beach. Found it after a quick search learned there was a Tierra Mia Coffee Drive Thru on State College Blvd in Anaheim. Yesterday I hurriedly drove in the parking lot heading towards the order taker, not for a caffeine fix, but a good pastry with a cold, ice blended drink. Pulled up -- um, can I get a Mazapam Peanut Frappe no caffeine with cream and a bluebery muffin not warmed up... please. Blueberry muffin is absolutely delicious- studded with blueberries throughout the entire muffin. Moist, flavorful, lightly sweet, with a crusty breaded muffin top. The staff are so polite from start to finish, so professional. Just learned from a friend there is a new location in Downey, excuse me...,can we a new location in South Bay please. I am 100 percent positive the residents would highly appreciate such a great establishment!!! No price point to the cost of good coffee.. Thank you, Tierra Mia coffee, you just get the TRUE MEANING of coffee.

    Drive thru and outdoor seating.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and I finally got around to it. I was lucky enough that it wasn't busy, though it typically is, or so I've been told. The place was very clean, and the seating was spacious. It had indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive-thru. Paco took my order: a medium Mocha Mexicano, a tres leches muffin, and a chocolate tres leches muffin. There was an option to have the drink hot or cold, and I chose the latter. In hindsight, I should've ordered it hot because it tasted like the Abuelita chocolate you buy at the store and make at home, just not quite as good. There was also an option to have the muffins warmed, which I declined. I wasn't planning to eat them there, so I wanted to warm one up later and eat the other at room temperature to see if it made a difference. The chocolate one was okay. It tasted like chocolate, but nothing about it really screamed "tres leches." I had that one at room temperature. I warmed up the original tres leches muffin, and it was pretty good. It makes me think the chocolate one would've been better warm as well. Overall, it wasn't anything to rave about, but it was a pretty good place to try. One thing I didn't like was that while Paco was taking my order, another employee (who might have been a manager) approached him. He politely stopped her until he finished my transaction. I thought it was a little rude on her part, but very professional of him to stay focused on helping me first. I'm sure whatever she needed to tell him could've waited a few more seconds until he finished my order, especially since there was nobody behind me in line. Great job, Paco.

First time coming here, I always hear tons of great things! I got the horchata latte, which was sweet, not too sweet, the coffee tastes good. They have plenty of bakery options. They don't have utensils though which I found interesting... busy parking lot! Cafe seating can get filled. It's a busy location, nice spot to do homework. The location is on a busy street so it attracts a lot of traffic/people. Would like to try their matchas next time!

Tierra Mia Coffee in Anaheim is one of those places I happily put up with a little hassle for because the payoff is worth it. The coffee is genuinely delicious, and I love the Latin inspired flavors that make the menu feel more interesting than the usual chain options. Every drink I've had here tastes thoughtfully made and a little indulgent in the best way. The biggest downside is the driveway off State College Boulevard, which can be tricky, and the drive thru and parking lot can back up fast. That part can test your patience, especially if you're in a hurry. Once you finally get parked or through the line though, everything clicks, and I always leave reminded why I keep coming back to Tierra Mia Coffee.

Excited to give it a try

I've heard so many great things about Tierra Mia Coffee. I was excited to be near one when I popped into Anaheim. I was giddy when I saw they had a drive thru. The woman who took our order was so friendly. Their line reminded me of the in n out drive thru line I had one of my pups with me so we stayed in the car. The inside was poppin as far as I could see from my car. Lots of people having a cafecito and chatting. Ok on to the good stuff... Large Horchata Latte: $6.25 6.5/10 I was disappointed to be honest. The only other time I've ever had an horchata latte is when I'm in Mexico so that's my baseline. I appreciate that it was deliciously caffeinated and not too sweet, but I didn't taste the horchata at all. Not sure I'd order this again. Maybe I'll try the frappe next time. Small Strawberries & Cream Drink: $5.25 9/10 according to my husband. I'm assuming this was a type of smoothie but it wasn't very clear on the menu. He loved it and would order again. Churro Muffin: $3.95 I ordered it, but by the time I got to the pick up window they had run out so I got a refund :( Blueberry Muffin: $3.95 8/10. Deliciously warm on the inside and crispy on top with what I believe is turbinado sugar. It was a tad too sweet for us, but still worth getting on occasion. They even gave us a very generous pup cup for our foster dog! I'd definitely come back and try a different drink. Maybe I'll come early enough for a churro muffin too. Overall I'd give it a 4/5.

Iced horchata latte with oatmilk and cold foam size large
    Diana P.

By far the best Horchata latte I've had. They offer flavors you cannot get everywhere else and drinks are not too strong but also not to sweet. Employee was very helpful in answering my questions and luckily there was no long line inside and many available seats. Although sometimes it can get packed and drive thru line can be long. The inside is fairly spacious and offers a calm and chill vibe. I do reccomend checking it out when in the area.

But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

However, today's visit felt different. We ordered our usual strawberry coffee drinks but they weren't pink. When I asked the barista about it she said the syrup has changed. The drinks barely tasted like strawberry and we were disappointed. I immediately regretted upgrading my size to 20oz too. SO I looked up other recent yelp reviews, and I saw that someone posted a picture of their drink 17 hours ago and it was still pink. That makes me question what happened to our drinks.

There was matcha powder on top, but absolutely no matcha filling inside. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or simply missed the filling in ours, but for something sold as a matcha cruffin, I expected an actual matcha presence beyond the topping. The Three Cheese Bagel, made with cheddar, cream cheese, and mozzarella, had good flavor but the texture was much too hard. We were dining in and had it warmed up, yet the bread was still tough and the cheese inside had already hardened. Service was fine, but nothing stood out.
