For being the only micro-brewery in Issaquah with food currently, it does not disappoint! The pizzas are LARGE and GOOD - highly recommend the Big Kahuna and the Flammkucken. They also have regular food specials that always look enticing. The beers are consistently good whether you're grabbing a draft or a growler - haven't gone wrong with any of their IPAs yet, and they had an Irish Red on Nitro last time that everyone at the table enjoyed. The location is GREAT - tons of outdoor/indoor space even at limited capacity. I can see it being crazy in the summer once restrictions lift. It's a really nice spot to hang with friends and enjoy good beer - we'll be back! read more

I saw they were open and curious. Two things I thought odd was on their site they say biergarten which is German so I envisioned German food and pretzels to accompany the beer. Some good handmade pretzels, sausages, sauterkraut and some German dishes would be great with the food (there are few in the area). I see they have pizzas and salads which seem good (I just had pizza yesterday so did not try) and they have a pizza oven that helps. Not sure what kind of crust they have. No mention on the site. Big Block brewery has some great beers but no food in Sammamish except for snack food or if you go to the nearby restaurants owned by the same people and which are mediocre and inconvenient. I would rather eat food where I am at. Also I thought I had seen new Formula brewery (not sure when they opened) closed for some political event in Seattle. That is something a new business should not do if they are looking to draw customers. 1) This is Issaquah not Seattle, 2) Your opening months are important to get a regular customer base. Background music was mediocre. One employee got excited about some songs and turned it too loud for most customers but then turned it down. Consistent tones with a variety a music not blaring is great. Beer was good. I had the Mexican Lager and had tried both that and the Vienna Lager before. Both would good and light and tasted good but not as creative as Big Block Brewery that had some unusual drafts that I normally would not try but did and found I liked it. Service pretty good but exterior and interior still needs some more work but might with just starting up and virus. read more

Get their smoked wings! The best wings I have had. The sauces are all homemade and to die for. The Buffalo has a habanero kick! The hot honey is sweet hot and sticky. The bbq sauce is light and tasty. Dog friendly patio and the beers are good. We had a pizza before and it was delicious in their woof fired oven. So many options for pizza and salads. They also have some mixed drinks for the non beer folk and soda for the kids. You can't go wrong by stopping here. read more

Pizza was as Spectacular as the service in this local Brewery! A friend and I were trying to find a spot for Pizza, Beer, and a chill spot to watch some Sunday Football. I'll tell you, this spot hit all the marks! Pizza was out very quickly, and my friend enjoyed the beers they had to offer, especially the "So Many Jokes". Heard really good thing so I had high expectations. Their pizza was pretty decent but pretty expensive when your trying to feed kids. Wings were okay and the sauces needed something special, wasn't a high point, think they were precooked, something was off. Beer...I like an amber, mac 'n Jack's style and I hate IPA's. PNW seems to love them for some dumb reason?? So I tried 3 other beers and think they are trying to hard to be original. Didn't particular like any of them. We used to come here all the time because the beer is great and the pizza is good enough. There must have been a staff change-over since opening, though, because we have kept trying to have a good experience here throughout the past year and staff is exceptionally rude. The kitchen staff, who you can see preparing your food, don't seem concerned with cleanliness or hygiene either, which is gross even outside of COVID. Have been coming to this place a couple of times a year. Each time have not been impressed but last time was the worst. Prices are extremely elevated for a self serve place and paper plates, while the waitress do not even show you the itemized bill. Pizza is very greasy and limited in choices. Service is one of the worst we have experienced and deteriorating with the time going by. This time wife ordered an apple salad which came with extra mold (which we did not order). Additionally our peperonI pizza came with extra blond hair (that we also did not order). I guess we shouldn't complain since we got more than we paid right? Other than saying "sorry" the wait staff did not do anything else. At the end we deserve such service since we continue to support such restaurant. I will not. read more

This spot is fantastic for their great beers and friendly environment. Their variety is amazing - Nordic farmhouse as one example of a beer I've never had anywhere else. Industrial format works for me. However, the idea that a brewery has a $25 margarita is surprising, if not upsetting or backhanded. I didn't know that it was that much. I didn't realize it was that expensive until I received the bill. You guys can do better. I assumed that it would be priced at the same level as the reasonably priced beers. $25 for a margarita is ridiculous. read more

Place has tons of potential but failed on a few key areas. First the pizza. Ordered the Kahuna and it was nice and crispy on top but quite under cooked underneath. Asked to have it re-fired but it came back without any real improvement. Taste was great so it tells me it's the oven. Last small thing was paying. They had a long line to order and literally wanted to have me wait in the line to pay. This needs work for sure. The beer was delicious so this moved the score to three stars. The overall experience was good, with the exception of the $25 organic margarita, which was overpriced and NOT worth it at all. They claim to utilize top shelf tequila, but don't specify the brand, which is odd. I also believe it comes pre-mixed with organic agave. Instead of overreaching and offering sweet costly drinks to non-beer drinkers, they should probably just stick to beer and pizza, which appears to be what they are known for and people seem to really enjoy. A favorite discovery during COVID! I appreciate the huge space (not having to go too early to save a table for our group of friends) and that it is dog & kid-friendly (if said kid enjoys pizza). This review is based on trying the pizza and salad. After reading all the 5* reviews we expected a lot more. I feel bad sharing low ratings as I want local businesses to succeed and I am hoping this will cause them to fix the issues. Food quality We did a takeaway. We ordered a cheese & veggie pizza. The pizza was meh. Very little flavor. The base was undercooked. Sauce & cheese quality and flavor left a lot to be desired. The pizza was expensive although large in size (16'in). Not worth the price. Zeeks, Tuscan stone, Enzo(new place), Tutta Bella and even chain places like Domino/Papa-Johns are significantly better. Cleanliness (COVID precaution) We picked up the pizza after ordering on the phone. While we were inside the brewery waiting for our food, we saw the chef sneeze while preparing pizzas and his mask was below his chin and did not cover his mouth or nose. Ugh! We had paid by that time so had no way to get back money. Also the payment devices were really dirty (screen stains) and they did not clean it after I used them (with my bare hands, wish I had taken gloves). Unacceptable during these times. We never noticed this place until we were looking for a place to get a quick beer, totally sick of eating home every night and this place came up. Man, what a gem! We'll definitely be coming back. Been here twice. The first time we got some beers and sub sandwiches from the food truck they had outside. I really love how spacious this place is and clean. They organize it really well and we felt safe the whole time. The server said starting Thurs (we came on a Wed) they have their own food so we came back the next day and OMG their pizza was AMAZING! Initially we thought a little expensive at $24 but it's worth every penny. Huge, amazing toppings, and they make it in their pizza oven so it tastes so fresh. We'll definitely be regulars. The server (or maybe she's the owner) was SO nice and friendly. She even remembered us on day two and said welcome back which I thought was so sweet. Love this place! read more

Beer selection is pretty solid. Pizza was okay, to me it could've been cooked a couple more minutes and would've tasted better. The flavor was good though, and thankfully not too salty. Wings were alright too. Overall the food is pretty good, just not sure if it's worth it for the price. Maybe I'd go again to try more of their beers, but probably not for the food. read more

Great hidden gem in Issaquah. The space is huge inside and they have a ton of seating outside. We'll definitely be returning and would recommend to others to check out, but seems people have already gotten the memo because they were packed on a Wednesday afternoon. My Husband was eager to get into a Brewery when Modofied Pase 1.5 was approved. He came across this new brewery and it's been open only a few months! Super new and Friendly Staff, very attentive and we called to inquire about their opening. Didn't eat here but they offer a variety of Pizza that is Wood Fire Pizza and looks very fresh from what I could see from another patron. Shareable as well. Kid and Dog friendly and out door covered seating when the Weather is not cooperative! They sell cool t-shirts and a hoodie, logo is pretty neat. If you enjoy IPA they have four on tap. Hazy is very popular. They also have a Stout and Pilsner. If your into Lager, sour, wheat, Porter they got that too! We will definitely be back to try the pizza. read more

As local to Issaquah we had been in need of a brewery for the last 10 years. I was afraid that Formula opening during COVID times will not allow it to thrive but boy was I wrong. First, the place is immaculate, clean, everyone wears masks but still it's so clean and does not smell like the usual brewery smell of old spilled beer. Second, beer is so good. Good collection of IPAs, summery, tart, strong. You chose. Have a few amber and dark options like an ESB, Brown Porter, and a Stout. Lastly they serve food Thursday through Sunday. Pizza. What can be better!? Oh yes, pizza is delicious. Bakes in house in the fires of cool oven, you get to enjoy it on some well set socially distanced tables either inside or outside under some canopies that shield you from the drizzle. Bottom line - I've been here gettin my growler filled once a week and have come in to dine twice. This is my new favorite place in Issaquah after soccer, bike riding, or just anything. Staff is very nice and you can try all beers in compostable little cups before you buy. read more

Really wanted to try this place but there is no gluten free option for pizza. So... if you can't have gluten this isn't the place for you!
