Group of 15 for lunch at 11:30AM when they opened. Service was fast and efficient and there was no problem with separate checks for each individual or couple. I had a Phila. cheese steak and my wife had a cob salad with fried chicken. Both were excellent although the cheese steak was served with au jus which seemed a bit unusual. Cheese was not Swiss but it was tasty. Rolls were what you would expect, not just bakery white bread. I had a "mystery beer" which came in a brown paper bag for $5. I got a brown ale that was very good. I took pictures of some of the other dishes our group ordered. Sandwiches came with fries or a generous portion of coleslaw. Some of the cleanest unisex restrooms I have seen. This is one of many highly rated restaurants in Issiquah so they have to be good. I would come back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Last time I was here I only remember high prices. Came here today after a hike for lunch with friends. The cider was refreshing and delightful. A strawberry rhubarb flavored cider from schilling. The burger was perfectly cooked and had fresh condiments of lettuce, tomato slices, onions, pickles and thousand island dressing. The bun toasted nicely and a lovely slice of cheddar cheese. The burger had a nice charred flavor of being freshly cooked. The tots were so perfectly fried and crispy. I seriously hope the server I had was Miles P. Whose name is on the receipt. Because it was definitely the best service I've had in a long time. Friendly and amicable. He was attentive but not too much. When we asked for separate checks he did it no problem. Lastly, a man who I presume was the manager came out to the patio and asked if we wanted the shade down. Stopped in for lunch on a sunny Seattle day. They have a good size outdoor dining area and people were taking advantage of it on this fine day. As the outside was full, we dined indoors in an area of booths to the left of the entrance. A larger area full of tables is off to the right, as are the restrooms. A bit of bar seating is available as are some high top tables nearby. We were greeted at the door by a person who appears to be the only FOH employee during our visit. He brought us to a booth, gave us menus, and took a drink order right away. There are quite a few beers on tap listed on boards over the bar. Suggestions were asked for and given. The menu is pub food. The interior is clean, however there is also a bit of storage going on in there. Not sure it they just had a delivery that needed to be moved or if this is usual. Our waiter was very pleasant and patient. The food was good quality and everyone was happy with their choices. The beers very much enjoyed. If you are a beer fan and are looking for a laid back, low key, bar/pub experience, this is a good option with food. A fair size parking area is out front. TGIF, checking out their Happy hours after work. It was not crowded when we first got there but it did get crowded. Parking is not that big because parking is for all businesses. It is not big happy hours food options, we ordered sample platter with Cheese curds, onion rings and chicken fingers. The onion rings were crispy, not too much batter, and bite size. The 3 pieces of chicken figures were okay, not dry and the batter also were not thick. My coworkers said cheese curds were good. We both go little cheese burger. It was good size for me. I recently visited Sunset Alehouse, and it's safe to say it's now one of my favorite spots in Issaquah DT! Known for their fantastic burgers and vibrant happy hour menu, this place truly lives up to its reputation. Their hamburger was delicious. What a Valentine's Day lunch! Not fancy, not overpriced, but quite good. Comfort food that hit the spot! Our mission was to satisfy the craving for a grilled salmon sandwich. We'd been here before, many times, in the past. Happy to see they still had the Salmon Sandwich on the menu. My Valentine really enjoyed this, cooked nicely, not dried out. I had the TBLAT. It was good, heavy on the aioli or mayo, don't recall. I should've gotten it on the side, like I usually do. The grilled sourdough that is at on, was pretty tasty. The service was good, for appearing to only have two servers in the house, they did a good job. The ambiance is, well, it's a bar with a restaurant included. Lots of TV's, sports all over the place. My only wish is that one day, the people working here, will act like they've seen us before! We used to go in once a week, and it was like ground hogs day, never seen us before, starting all over again, everyday. Weird. Oh well! We've probably driven by this place a hundred times and never gave it a second glance since it's tucked in a corner next to the Dollar Tree. It's not much to look at from the outside and the inside is definitely on the divier side of things. My husband and I popped in for lunch recently and were pleasantly surprised by the food! It wasn't super busy during lunch time and we just made ourselves comfortable in a booth. We had the buffalo wings, french dip and the reuben. The wings were some of the best we've had in recent memory. They were super crispy and the buffalo sauce had the right amount of heat/tang. My reuben was spectacular. Corned beef, sauerkraut and thousand island sandwiched between two pieces of crispy, buttery bread and complimented with a side of tots. Yum. My husband's french dip was also good, but I thought the roast beef was a little on the dry side and the au jus was a bit salty for my liking. Love this place- nothing like it in Issaquah! A cute bar for adults with TVs for sports, large dining area for kids & a patio area outside. We wanted a great lunch with drinks & that's what we got! My husband & I love the grinder & chop salad to split- the grinder is amazing every time & the chop chop salad is so delicious too- plenty of food for two. Our friend was with us so he got the cerviche- so fresh & delicious with crispy corn dippers. My husband usually gets one of their beers on tap, I get a glass of wine & our friend gets vodka soda. I am a local and have been a few times. Wait staff caters to regulars and leaves the rest to wait over 20 minutes for a 2nd drink. The regulars are also rude and dismissive to anyone else in the bar area...very clique-y. I will not be back. Go to RAM or Jaks for a warmer local Issaquah experience. I love Sunset Alehouse. I'm a local (nearby town) and come here often with friends. I think the food is great. It can be loud but overall, I've had great experiences. Love the Italian sandwich, poutine fries and I love their old buffalo chicken salad, but I don't think they have that anymore. The loaded dessert is amazing. read more

We went on a busy Friday night. I was a little off putted by having to share a table with random people but if we didn't, we would have waited a long time. Simple food made right. He had a Manny's Pale Ale and the Sunset Burger (w/o cheese & bacon). I had an Anderson Valley Tropical Sour and Halibut Fish & Chips. He said the burger was well made and had crispy edges, which he liked. He also liked that the house burger went with thousand island dressing as its sauce. He did say the only negative was that the burger was drippy, but rather than that coming from the tomato, it was due to the burger being juicy, which of course isn't really a negative. The F&C came with a lemon wedge and Baja Salad, both which added the acidity to cut through fried foods and tartar sauce. Loved how the main character was the fish and not the batter! Substantial amount of meat and evenly fried. The fries were perfect - crispy outside and flaky inside! Service was friendly and attentive. Some friends and I dropped by after a hike for some hearty, greasy food. We ordered a smattering of burgers (I got the Grinder) and inhaled them. They are hefty portions, but perfect for a hungry hiker's appetite. We even had room to share the Miracle Bowl, which is an indulgently sweet dessert made with a brownie, peanut butter, marshmallows, caramel, and vanilla ice cream. I mean, if you have a serious sweet tooth you could probably demolish the bowl, but if you're just wanting dessert, get it to share and you won't regret it. I've gone to Sunset Alehouse for both brunch and dinner and will continue to keep coming back! First off for brunch... I ordered the Steak Hash and thought the portion size was perfect (at least for me), and the actual steak was cooked to my request. I also tried the Captains Cider cocktail with brunch and thought it was a lovely spiked hot drink to enjoy in the late morning! Now onto dinner... My husband and I have tried various things off of the menu but we consistently order their Fried Chicken Cobb salad. The portion sizes are HUGE (definitely enough for two meals) and the crispy fried buttermilk chicken is beyond crunchy. When you order to go, they package the crispy chicken separately so it doesn't get soggy before you eat it. The dressing also has a nice kick to it so don't dump all of it at once! If you go into the restaurant and dine in, there is plenty of parking available in the plaza they are located at. The couple times we've gone to dine in, we didn't have an issue getting a table right away. We also appreciated the service we received when we did dine in. We brought our baby and they were very accommodating to whatever we needed (including giving her a separate water cup, plenty of napkins when we needed it). Can't wait to dine in again! read more

Not sure what happened to this place. Sparse crowds on a game day? Then I got my "brunch". Seasoned tater tots for breakfast potatoes. Seriously. Tater Tots. Now I understand. Did Jaks sell this place? Totally phoning it in. How do you mess up Brunch? Not hard to do hash browns or crispy potatoes. Maybe add some garnish to finish the plate.
