Trash trash trash. I've had a P.O. Box for over 40yrs, in the US and abroad , military. This location is the absolute worst. Customer service, delivery, care of packages, attitude, it's ridiculous. it has been almost 2yrs. They've displayed horrible service from the first week. There's also a thief or 2 in their midst. Be careful what type of items you ship/recieve through this location. Arrival is sketchy. Also pay attention to the condition of your package. Does it smell, has it been opened and resealed missing items, or just not received, etc. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I shipped something with two day delivery and a tracking number. After five days, I went to the post office and asked. It went to the wrong state and she said I should've sent it overnight. So so so disappointed! I've been going to this facility regularly for six years. Many have been bad, some good but today was an absolute disaster. I walked in at 3p, there were 9 people in front of me. I left at 340p, so 40 minutes in line, it was torture. All the talk about privatizing. Please someone make it happen. There is no regard, not one iota of concern for the wait time of customers. There was one person working, only one, there was a line out the door by the time I left. Why not at least have someone go thru the line and answer basic questions. There was one lady who didn't fill out the mail label. Instead of 'from' label part being completed first, she did the 'To' part first. An easy mistake to make. One guy was sending an overnight letter, he could not fill out the form correctly. English was not his primary language. One lady had a problem with her P.O.Box key. All the above would have reduced the wait time. The problem is NO ONE cares. They are a virtual monopoly. The ONLY way, I've found to get in and out quickly is to go early in the morning before the line starts. Unfortunately, that's not always possible. read more

We were expecting a very important package, waiting by mailbox when mail carrier arrived who did not have the package in hand. Asked about package that said out for delivery, was told he didn't have a package for us and once he pulled away he marked it as delivered. He stole our package and post master won't do anything about it. We explained what happened and they said upon their investigation that the package was marked delivered and handed to us. This is not the first time our mail has been stolen from the mail carrier and the post office doesn't care. We are now getting a PO Box in another town. read more

We live in the Torrence Branch Estates Division and until recently, we would have given only one star because of the lack of service and delayed deliveries. However, we now have a carrier named "Charles"! He is the best. He is dependable and is careful with your packages and mail. We would give him TEN stars if we could. Don't ever mail anything from here. A simple greeting card took three weeks to get to NYC. A birthday card to the West Coast took five(!) weeks. Another took three weeks. WTH?! I never drive through and drop off because mail is practically falling out of the outdoor boxes for anyone to take. I live in Regent Park in Fort Mill. Service from the already terrible Fort Mill post office has further declined to every other day delivery it seems. I get informed delivery emails each day with images of my mail as they went through the mail sorter, so I know what is coming (we normally get mail every day and it normally matches informed delivery): Saturday: Mail not delivered Sunday: Someone actually came out and delivered Saturday mail Monday: Mail not delivered Tuesday: Monday & Tuesday mail gets delivered Wednesday: Mail not delivered The post office needs to get their $4!+ together. Then last night on ABC World News Tonight I see the postmaster testifying in front of Congress about how they are in great shape for the holiday season. Hell, the rush is not yet on and already they cannot keep up with basic mail service. I don't know how they expect to add on all the packages that are coming their way. read more

In the span of an hour I had a zero star experience and a five star experience. This is why I only gave three stars. The 50ish, shaven head white gentleman (I didn't catch his name) was quite rude. He was impatient and embodied everything one thinks of when one considers bad government employees - lazy, purposely rude, and he influenced one of the other employees to NOT help me after I waited in line at his behest. He was the zero star experience. Nashonda Hoyles was EXTREMELY helpful when I returned less than an hour later. She was courteous and professional. She assisted me with what I needed in such a quick fashion, it made me ask her why the white guy couldn't have done the same - she did explain that at the time, he didn't have access to the necessary equipment. This explained his initial rejection; however, it did not explain why he deterred the other employee from helping me when she had access to the requisite equipment after waiting in line, per his instructions. USPS, hire more people like Nashonda Hoyles, and less people like the bald white guy (for the record, I'm a bald white guy, not trying to be mean or anything). read more

The Fort Mill post office (29715) is by far the worst in the US. The counter staff is rude and not helpful at all. They are the slowest moving government workers I have ever encountered. Home delivery is even worse. The mail sometimes comes at 10am and sometimes it is as late as 8pm. No routine, just whenever they feel like it. Packages that they handle for Amazon are lost, damaged, or just thrown out in the middle of the yard. They are literally the worst managed post office in the US. Just google "Fort Mill worst post office" and they are at the top of the list. Also, it should be noted the only 5 star rating on this site is from George G who works at the post office. read more

So it's taken a week to try and track and get a package. I stay on hold for two hours and get disconnected. Call back again and on hold for another hour and a half. Government service, go figure! Also, mail carrier was lazy and never scanned in my document so it's not trackable. Fortunately the company I ordered from gave me a tracking number. Next step, file a claim and class action lawsuit! Not sure if others have experienced this but when you call in, the greeting has changed to where one's supposed to be transferred directly to the "operator." For 2 days straight now, I've called first thing in the morning, later in the afternoon, and throughout the day, odd hours as well of course, and it just rings off the hook till it goes to a fast busy. No one but no one picks up. It's been a ring of approximately 4 minutes long each time. So, what gives? They just don't answer...ever? Ridiculously frustrating. read more

This post office location is a joke. The customer service is practically non-existent. There's always a long, long, waiting line. Every time I go there I'm in standing line for at least 35-45 minutes. They can see that the line goes out the door, but they never have more than 2 clerks working at the counter. Is it possible for this post office location actually be getting worse than it has been? I didn't think that was possible. But its sadly true. unreliable deliveries, they don't redeliver when properly scheduled to do so online, even normal Amazon deliveries are frequently late, and at least a year or two ago you could call and speak to a supervisor, but not anymore. I received a priority mail envelope to my correct address, inside was another envelope addressed to me with the correct address which was sent back return to sender insufficient address unable to forward. I brought this to the attention of the fort mill post office and asked why this happened? Vivian at the counter said this was possibly caused by the sorting machine and the sticker was put on the wrong envelope. I asked for a refund of the priority envelope fee of $8.95 and was told to get the refund from the post office where the priority mail was purchased. I objected and said this was the mistake made by the fort mill post office and they should refund the $8.95. This was also the same thing I was told by the supervisor Julie. This is called passing the buck and not taking responsibility for their mistake, very poor customer satisfaction. read more

Ordered a birthday present to be delivered to my son in Indian Land SC. It was supposed to be delivered 8 days ago. It took UPS 7 days to move it from California to the Fort Mill USPS which was to deliver it to his home. That was 10 days ago and tracking says it hasn't moved since it was turned over to the Fort Mill USPS. Filed a notice on the USPS website which told me to expect a response within 1 business day. 30 hours later I've heard nothing. read more

It is so easy to pick this place apart. I have gone here only a handful of times so shame on me. I've heard them talk down to people in line, many times and they are the most miserable workers. I showed up to mail some letters and got in the door at 4:30pm. They close at 5:00pm so I was there in more than enough time. I stood in line for almost 30 minutes and they finally announced that they were not going to help anymore people. I thought that they meant anyone else who might be walking in. No! They told me and the other behind me that they would not help anyone else. If I could give zero stars, I would. This post office is an absolute disgrace. I am thinking I need a post office box in a different zip code. As of today's writing, we have not received one piece of mail for three days, even though informed delivery says there should have been many deliveries. We are STILL waiting for mail which was dated for delivery on December 5th. Recently We had a delivery that we had to sign for. Before I could get to the front door after he rang, he was RUNNING back to his truck with the package which I had to then go to the post office to pick up. The carrier, when they do deliver, leave packages on the open lid of the mailbox for anyone to come by and steal. When they deliver it can be as late as 9pm or even later. I can say with absolutely verifiable certainty that our entire subdivision is in an uproar. Our FB page will back me up. This is an abomination and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to make changes. read more

As if waiting in the long line due to employee lag time is not bad enough, you have to wait in a facility with no AC. The employees work as slowly as possible and do not make efficient use of their time. Instead of opening another line to speed up a the wait process for customers sweating their behind off, they had an employee sitting there selling stamps to NO ONE. I eventually left the facility when one of the employees returned from break and stood around without assisting a customer ASAP. Postal service with the main USPS office in Fort Mill is terrible. I had a package that was to be delivered to my PO Box. They received it 3 days ago! I still have not seen it (or a notification) in my box. This is the holidays and the lines are long because Fort Mill is more concerned about building houses and less concerned about the infrastructure to support people living in FM.
