BE PREPARED TO WAIT. There is always a line. No matter what time of day. The staff is super friendly but can mess up shipping some times. Once my package was sent to Australia instead of Austria and the USPS refused to refund or help with correcting the issue. And yes the label said Austria. Also they did not apply insurance that I requested to a package that was later lost in the mail. I lost 275$ because they couldn't find the package. Also refusing to help in this case. I will never ship USPS again. They make too many costly mistakes that cost ME money. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. I was expecting a package that was guaranteed to be delivered by 8pm the night before. First off the post office carrier never rings the door bell but will place the notice sticker on your door as if they attempted to deliver or not place it . It happens every time I have a return receipt or anything that requires effort. I literally called the customer care number talked to a representative stating I would pick up my package went into the USPS and they still couldn't find my package. No one cares at this facility. I have seen a massive company like Amazon deliver packages and get them there on time why can't a government entity due that? They need some serious new management and some training established with checks and balances. If I had a choice this would not be my post office but I am stuck with them due to where I live. Package was marked undeliverable because of a supposed lack of access to the WALK UP MAILBOX THAT I GET MAIL IN WEEKLY and six days later I got a call saying it had been sent back to Spain. No wonder mail services are being privatized. What an absolute joke of a post office. read more

BEST Post Office I've ever been to! Moved from CA within the last year and have been trying out the different post offices in both of the Carolinas, near Fort Mill & Charlotte, and this is my favorite post office of all time! It is like the Disneyland of post offices. You really can't beat the kindness and playfulness of these employees. From the beginning, James has made my family and I feel like we were old friends, Teffney is kind, caring, and has a great sense of humor, Vivian is very patient, calm, and so sweet. Plus, when she's there, she bring music, which makes for an even more enjoyable experience. Jen is another employee that I've enjoyed chatting with, she is just the loveliest, and really helpful. Each one of them has always taken the time to help me with all of my "postal needs", no matter how many questions I have. They never make me feel rushed, and they are ALWAYS pleasant and kind. This simple act goes along way in a place where people are always in a hurry and not always happy. In the past I've hated having to go to the post office because you never know how the employee "and their mood" will be, AND if they are willing to help answer my questions. At the Tom Hall location, I've never had to worry about that. I've even noticed more new faces at the "windows", and they too, have been very pleasant and helpful. read more

And again I come home to find my package in my driveway-in a low spot. Almost ran over it since I was not expecting it to be there. It was only about 6 feet from my COVERED PORCH. Frequently, I will be sitting in my living room where i can see out the window to the sidewalk to the porch and I will see something come flying across from the direction of the driveway. I am very disappointed in the Fort Mill Post Office. Twice already they had a package sent to Fort Mill, SC and they sent it back to somewhere in North Carolina. The 1st time it happened, I called the post office and the man in charge told me it never arrived in Fort Mill SC ( as if he was accusing me of lying or claiming I was mistaking when yet I could see on the tracking that they made the mistake and my package was delivered late). I wish there was someone higher up I could report to stop the postal service from delivering mail late. I'm sure I'm not the only customer this is happening to. I'm sorry if I seem harsh but I am one who believes that when something or someone says it's going to be delivered-I expect it. I don't expect my intelligence to be insulted or them to think that just because my package is cheap shipping they can just send it somewhere else when it arrives in Fort Mill SC. I used to work with a contract with UPS so I know that when mail gets sorted to Fort Mill SC, it's supposed to be delivered unless someone makes a mistake and sends it somewhere else. WORST POST OFFICE EVER!! Lost packages...check....missing mail...check....no follow up...check.....complete and utter frustration....check. No one answeres the phone, struggling​ to find missing packages that have tracking!! Website info says out for​ delivery, then the tracking number has no update for days!! Package delivered by postal carrier..was too big to fit in mailbox (duh) what did they do? leaned it against the mailbox. route was late, it was dark. Mailbox is NOT visible from where my house sits. Did not attempt to bring it to the house. I understand busy time of year. But my package was wet from the rain last night and is a christmas gift, could have potentially been stolen. This is the worst postal service I have ever received. Someone just emailed me mail a piece of mail that they were tried mail me, but it was returned marked undeliverable to my CORRECT address! Guess the carrier got tired and called it a day. We get wrong mail DAILY. We send back more mail than we actually receive sometimes. It's horrible. I tried calling, but it's of NO USE. They don't answer the call and I hung up after waiting 18 minutes on HOLD. They must be watching their soap operas or Dr. Phil over there. Maybe WBTV can go back out there and do a follow up on their story because it's still horrible. read more

Have read many complaints about this post office, but just had a fabulous experience. I opened a small ecommerce store on Etsy and mailed my first sale today. The male clerk did an amazing job of giving me advice on packing and ways to minimize my shipping costs. read more

The staff, Post Master, and delivery drivers are absolutely fantastic. After coming from Charlotte, I was shocked to find how nice and effective the postal workers are at this branch. Also our mail delivery driver is amazing and always has a smile! I realize everyone has different experiences, but ours has been exceptional! read more

World's most frustrating postal experience EVER. It's 11:55 am and 2 people are working. There are 12 people waiting and the customers are being served 1 every 5 minutes. If Postal Route can do this so much better then USPS surely can step up their game. I called to get information on a package that was suppose to be delievered the day before. I get this delievered monthly and they always leave it on my door step, it doesn't have to be signed for. When I went to look at the tracking information since it wasn't delievered on time, it said 'delievery attempted' which I thought was odd since they always just leave it on the doorstep. I called the usps fort mill and the lady was awful. She was short with me and obviously was annoyed I called her asking this question. She told me the wrong people tried to deliever it and would be delievered today... I'm sorry but what does that mean? She made me feel like an idiot for asking questions but she wasn't being descriptive in the first place. Very rude I absolutely hate having to call them if I have an issue because it doesn't matter who I talk to they all are rude and it's obvious they hate their job, very unprofessional. read more
