I have been a member of this gym and have always come to work out, mind my own business, and leave…read more Unfortunately, my experience on June 30 completely changed how I feel about this facility. Around 8:30 PM, the General Manager, Yanni, approached me on the gym floor while I was working out instead of asking to speak with me privately. In front of other members, he told me that my body was making people uncomfortable and claimed he had received several complaints about the way I dress. I repeatedly asked what I was wearing that violated the dress code since I was wearing standard gym attire--a workout shirt and athletic shorts. He could not identify a specific clothing violation. Instead, he repeatedly compared my body to "more shapely women" who supposedly "cover themselves more" and threatened multiple times to cancel my membership simply because I was asking questions and trying to understand the alleged complaints. When I asked to review the dress code, the posted policy simply stated that proper gym attire and closed-toe shoes are required. There was nothing stating that my clothing violated any policy. What upset me most was not being approached, but how I was approached. This conversation should have taken place privately, not on the gym floor where other members could overhear it. I left feeling embarrassed, body shamed, singled out, and humiliated. I wear athletic clothing designed for the gym, just like countless other women. I cannot change my natural body shape, nor should anyone be made to feel uncomfortable simply because they have a curvier figure. Clothing naturally shifts during exercise, especially on different body types, and that should not be mistaken for inappropriate behavior. After this incident, several members and trainers approached me and expressed that they felt the situation was handled unfairly. Some even shared their own negative experiences with management. Every member deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and consistency. I hope management seriously reviews how situations like this are handled in the future because no one should leave the gym feeling publicly humiliated for simply existing in their own body.

She was extremely welcoming and understanding with how hard it is to part with a gym but also made sure to congratulate me on buying my first home! Upon entering the gym, she immediately greeted me and was very friendly. In addition, she welcomed Buddy, my dog, as one of her own. When the class started, she introduced us to everyone very casually. She gave me and Buddy a tour of the gym and explained class sizes, their gym's philosophy and whatnot. During the class, she made sure to give feedback and examples for everyone which I really liked. Buddy loved this gym! It was a lot smaller and seemed to be a gym he liked more. She also let him walk around off leash which was a pleasant surprise for both Buddy and me.

Stopped in here during vacation and got a day pass for $10. This is a no frills bodybuilder gym…read moremeant for serious athletes. Lots of average joes there too, but mostly a bunch of gym rat types. This is not a sauna and spa gym. This is a weights, chalk, squat rack and Dumbbells that go up much higher than I can lift (120+). I am a physique competitor so I enjoy the atmosphere, but it is definitely not for everyone and those who prefer a more relaxed comfortable gym will probably not feel quite at home though everyone is very friendly. Hope you like heavy metal hardcore music like korn, godsmack, disturbed, chevelle, alien ant farm, saliva because that is what will be playing during your workout. It wasn't too loud though so didn't mind. Even through I prefer EDM to workout. My friend Jimmy felt it was a pretty hardcore gym and while it wasn't exactly his cup of tea he had a good workout. They have a nice supplement cooler as well with protein, pre workouts, and other supplements. Prices are fair $3-4 for a protein drink, $4 for a pre workout, $2 power bars etc. It was pretty empty in there, it was a bit hot though -- fan cooled on a hot Virginia day is bound to make you sweat. They did have air conditioning though but it was definitely not on full blast. In summary: great no frills gym for serious lifters, and guys who want the "muscle" vibe. I did see on the wall an ad for Zumba and it looked like there was a group exercise studio in the back. So some fit moms may like it here too.

The layout is just perfect for somebody who really wants to get a good workout and isn't there for the frills. Probably a dozen or more squat racks with platforms, lots of dumbbells and free weights, and even a full court off to the side. There is a nice little Jungle gym type stretching area with possibly forty meters of matting in the center for folks to do prowler pulls or pushes along with their lunges. Oh, the final thing I should mention is that this place has no AC. Fan only and you will be soaking wet when you leave. Best to bring in a towel to pat off before you get into your car.

Firstly the staff is hostile for no reason. When checking in for my first time and was reading the stuff the lady got snappy with me and made snarky comments while all I'm doing is reading and not bothering her. Kind of weird way to treat people. Also she kept staring at me while I was working out which made me hella uncomfortable. As for the building, there's little to no air conditioning and yeah it's good sweat, but when there's a giant room like that full of people sweating and no air circulation, that shit starts to smell really bad... so that is a problem, unless you go in when they cleaned the one time of the week, then the smell is just pure chemical so it's a fifty fifty shot of if you're getting gross or nose burning...
