Went to the Fort Thursday night to have a good burger and watch the dart league. I don't play but it's a fun crowd. The burgers are Angus beef with grilled onions and the works and tater tots or fries. Or you can choose from any number of great sandwiches and entrees. Nice clean older restaurant with a young couple in charge directing traffic and hustling beers and food around. Great place to enjoy a nice dinner and chat with friendly locals who frequent the place. Been going there since 1982 so I may be a local now. Enjoy. read more

Working out somewhat near this place and didn't feel like cooking....took the 30 minute one way drive and let me tell you how happy that we did! Let's start out with the face that this place has a freaking Slush Puppy Machine!! I search high and low for these long lost dream drinks. So we walked in, and were greeted not only by the cashier/waitress, but chef as well! Service with a smile is not a forgotten art in this little hole in the wall establishment. We checked out a menu it's your standard diner grub. A+ my husband took the suggestion of Bobs burger and he was not disappointed. I had a crispy chicken sandwich which was also great, but I wish I went with the burger!! The patty was fatty and the ham was not your standard deli meat. Oh and if you like a good pull on your mozzy sticks just order them! We were very pleased to come into this place. Our family loves this place. It's not fancy just good comfort food. We almost always order the same things, but they will cook the whole menu all day. This place is definitely just a little country "hole-in-the-wall" in the back of a "mom'n'pop" store, but the folks here sure do aim to please. I went in with my husband and, much to his chagrin, asked for a hamburger and tator tots but with these very specific stipulations.... smash the buns and burn the insides of the buns so they look like a truck rolled over them, then keep the pickles and cheese off and add extra tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. Once that's done and the meat's on the buns - and before putting the sauce on the bun - please smash it all down as far as it will go. Then put extra sauce on BOTH buns. I need this done so I can get my mouth over it all. Oh, and make sure the tator tots are as close to burnt as you can get them without their being black --- I like em crispy. My husband was mortified, but the staff were not the least perturbed. And my meal was delivered to my exact specifications, with a smile to boot. See if you can get that kind of service anywhere else. :^) read more

I read the reviews and decided to eat here knowing that the atmosphere was not going to be stellar. What I did not expect was unsanitary food preparation. Our server was also a cook and cashier. She never wore gloves and wasn't sure about cooking the oysters. Then a young woman came in with an infant. This young woman was on her phone the entire time, ignoring her child, and even received a phone call on the business phone. It was late in the day and we were hungry so we ate the food hoping we would not get sick from any unsafe food handling. She never washed her hands after ringing up customers, the tables were dirty. A local couple came in who were clearly regulars but they grabbed a towel to clean their table. My best advise is to avoid this place. The food was taste was okay but not worth the risk. The health department should require that everyone take a course in safe food preparation techniques. read more

This place has the best bacon cheese burgers ever! But if your tired of burgers there menu has things like sea food, fort dip, nachos, burritos, club quesadilla (who knew that even existed), they have amazing breakfast, the list goes on! And it's a store/ restaurant, I like that In the store area you can find off the wall, but cool random things! U never know what you'll find. The prices are absolutely the best! Here for a cheese burger is $6, down the road over at the casino you'll pay $10+, and the quality is 90% better then the casinos! The owner Bob, is a really great guy, he's Owed this place since the 80s, his partner, she's okay, seems a little less friendly then the others, but still try's her best. I recommend this place to every person every chance I get because you just don't find this type of place very often. So if your ever out in lake Roosevelt, or fort Spokane area, go here and see for yourself. Oh they also have soft served ice cream, 100% amazing! read more
