They are always punctual, and really go above and beyond leaving our yard all taken care of. From trimming trees to weeding flowerbeds to checking the irrigation system and even removing some dead trees, they are doing a terrific job! They are also amazing about cleaning up everything after they are done! It's so clean, I always wish I could keep it that clean throughout the year :). The "arborist" came out for the free evaluation. The foundation, roof, and concrete patio and sidewalk damage were all pointed out, as well as the non-permitted tree limb removal the neighbors had done to protect their roof, and numerous dead limbs. The arborist at the time said the tree was too close to both our properties, and she agreed that the only permanent solution was for the tree's owners to have it cut down. She also pointed out that it was not good practice to cut the roots, as these trees have a very shallow taproot and rely on the side roots, which can grow out 60 to 100 feet from the trunk. The arborist said they could write an official report documenting the damage and that the tree needed to be removed to protect both properties. The cost of this was $1,500.00. I did sign and pay to get that. Nowhere does it even mention that it is not my tree, that it is not on my property, or that any observed problems or damage to my property were mentioned. It was unbelievable. It was a proposal to take care of the tree, including trimming and routine maintenance, all of which would cost several thousand dollars for a tree that I do NOT OWN! Nowhere does it even mention that it is not my tree, that it is not on my property, and no observed problems or damage to my property were even mentioned. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! What a complete waste of time and money, and I continue to see damage progressing to my home and property.

He offered me what I thought was a great price for my huge tree removal. Because of the size of the tree, he said I would need a permit from the city which I got. Four of his guys came out yesterday, August 31. They were here promptly at 8:30 in the morning and by 1:15 in the afternoon, the huge tree was down, the stump and roots were ground and everything was cleaned up. We called Joel's Tree Service after having interviewed 4-5 other competing services. They ended up…read morebe the best priced and were accommodating on scheduling, coming over today (Saturday) in the morning. They arrived in time and setup without us even having to do anything. Efficient and punctual is great for any contractor! They took about 6 hours total to remove 1 very tall (but dead) Monterey Pine to about the fence line and trim away the dead branches on a second pine. The cleaned up and made the area even cleaner than it was before. All of the debris was hauled away and in the second tree they not only cut the dead branches away but also made it look nicer by doing expert pruning. Overall we are so happy with the work. They have easily won a place in our books for any future tree needs.
