Yep, rad place. Literally the only time I've ever bought a growler was from this brewery. They were featuring a chai tea beer in which they'd actually brewed tea into the beer somehow with science. It tasted just like chai tea. I bought 2 growlers. read more

We've been working with Clay (much more personable than the last person selling your beers), and he's a great asset to the company. Had a nice night there this pst Saturday. Likes I was able to taste everything before I ordered a full pour. The vintage 2017 was amazing. The 95X Double IPA was good as well. I am not a hoppy beer fan but it had a nice balance that made it easy to drink. Liked them both well enough to bring home a four pack of each. read more

Fortnight to me, is the nicest brewery around this area. I love the English style, and the way the inside of this place is decorated. It looks like a pub from England. Again located in a non descriptive building from the outside, in what looks like a neighborhood is this hidden gem. This place was busy when I visited. Smaller bar area was packed, plenty of tables and cool seating area around a fireplace with couches and tables. Creature comforts were no problem in this place. Super nice seating and decorations everywhere. AC was kicking. Restrooms were clean and well lit. Only one bartender, and he was overwhelmed to say the least. Flights, samples all readily available. Large beer list with plenty of selection. Brewery tours available. Friendly patrons at the bar introduced themselves, and were very cool. Excellent beer all around. Excellent beer and experience! When we arrived the bartender immediately greeted us and we informed her that we purchased the groupon. She explained the various beers to us and asked which we wanted a glass of before the tour. We did have some difficulty understanding her since she was talking fast but she was very helpful and the beer had excellent flavor. Soon after, the tour started. The tour guide was very passionate about brewing, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The tour was very informative and fascinating. Afterwards we went to the bathroom and realized there was a backroom where home-brewing equipment was sold. The employee working in this area greeted us and told us all about home-brewing. He was incredibly kind and described all of the different hops and barley (even letting us try some!). He informed us that they teach brewing classes as well. When we returned to the bar we were given 6 packs to take home (we chose the coffee amber and the porter). By that time a live band had started playing whom were very good. Fantastic English pub that has wonderful micro-brews on tap, or for sale in cans or growlers. No food is directly provided, but food trucks regularly are just outside the door. One TV is available for major soccer games, so this is not your typical American sports bar. I love this pub to hang with friends to talk at the end of long day at work! read more

Good beers, clean and comfortable spaces to hang out while sipping, but every time we visit we have been underwhelmed by the staff. If you are a bartender, 1/2 your job is pouring drinks, while the other 1/2 is making people feel WELCOMED and catered to. Heck I can grab my own beer from a fridge - we go out for the vibe and customer service. Fortnite has failed at both, after three different visits we won't be back. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere, delicious beer, and great outdoor seating where you can play a variety of games. They frequently have a food truck and the employees are knowledgeable on beer. They offer beer on tap as well as from the cask, which is the authentic European serving method. read more

Friendly bartenders, cool outdoor areas, lots of dogs and smiling people around. The addition of Tribucha Kombucha in the brewery has brightened this place up a great deal. Lots of happy vibes all around. I love to host events here and invite small groups of my buddies to hang out. Stuart is super friendly, as is Adrian and they are both around a lot! So, the beer selection didn't wow me at this place, there's a lot of the same style beers being offered. But, I'm giving one star for the $3 16oz can Hefeweizen I had that was pretty good, one star for the ambiance, one star for the friendly bartender, and one for the food truck outside :-) read more

Fortnight needs some work. First we sat in a booth, no one ever came to us so we had to go to the bar to get our beer. The bartenders were quick and attentive. I still don't know if there was even a waitress. There's one tv on the wall with a few booths and several tables with a couple of couches along with the bar area. It was so bright and had such boring decor that I thought I was back in high school hanging out in a friends garage. We saw several parties walk in and walk right back out. We should have done the same. They really need to liven up their atmosphere, not very welcoming at all. read more

Love the food trucks, employees are super nice, but parking is a nightmare. Need to block off parking spaces in front of food trucks. Big safety concern. One car got hit tonight when someone was trying to back-out of their parking space (while trying to avoid the Lobster truck). Several other people were backing up or trying to pull in to parking when a long line of people were waiting to order/pickup food, and cars were practically on top of us. Saw one accident, many "near misses", and people yelling at each other due to traffic jams. Not sure what's going on with the dog kennel that's next door, but the smell of animal feces was super strong while sitting at a picnic table. read more

Heard really good reviews from a friend about this place and had recently moved to the area from upstate New York. From the moment we walked in, the bartender was acting extremely strange to me and my 3 friends. We all still had New York licenses since one is visiting and the 3 of us are new to the area. The bartender was extremely unprofessional and obviously uniexperienced. She looked at our licenses for an extremely long time and then went to the back to "pick up a phone call", then proceeded to come out to tell us we could not be served. We were nothing but extremely respectful and excited to try a few good beers we had heard so much about. It was embarrassing as this has never had happened to me before. The bar definitely needs more training time with their bartenders. So disappointing. read more

We had gotten a Groupon for this place and were in Raleigh for our anniversary so we went to check out this little brewery. The staff was really awesome, we got a tour, free tastings, and free glasses. They had some food for sale from a company who came in and set up a few tables and then they also had a live band inside too! Can get pretty loud but they have a few couches and a good size room for just hanging out and having a beer. Met some really nice people and had some pretty good beer. If I lived nearby Id like be a regular. read more

My wife and I stopped by after hearing about Fortnight and it's soft opening day, curious about English ale beers from a local brewery. We liked the English pub style set up and ambiance. Upon arrival we were given a free tour of the new place, offered tasting of the 3 (now 4) beers being brewed, and loved all 3, although ended up buying the Blond beer. Very happy to see a local brewery in town with a friendly staff and willing to explain the beer making process and the "art" of brewing. Will definitely stop by again and looking forward to seeing Fortnight on tap at restaurants and bars around town. read more

My brother and I went in today. The porter was excellent. The atmosphere was pretty good, but since the clientele is mostly men a girl bar tender wouldn't hurt. It was 40 degrees outside and I would say the temperature inside was 65 degrees, which was rather chilly. I know I'm being rather picky, but have to be seeing that this is Cary's first brewery and there are more to come. Be on your toes Fortnight and don't assume this will be the only game in town. A unique addition! This place really stands out as a UK style pub. The beer is representative of UK beer styles and they are fantastic. The selection is traditional with a few interesting deviations such as a delicious strong ale aged in red wine barrels. In addition the brewery makes there own kombucha. My favorite kombucha are the Controlled Burn and Brainic and they even have hybrid kombucha beer mixes. Honestly, there isn't anything that they have not done well here. The atmosphere is perfectly fitting and shows a symbiosis of British and American culture. They have nice pops of red color and great aesthetics; a very nice decorating job. There is a huge glass window where you can see their brewery equipment. The extent of it is quite impressive. They also have many seating options including high top tables that can fit 4-6, enormous table seating where I've seen at least 15 people sit at one table so it can cater to large groups, nice u-shaped bar, couch seating, and even an outdoor Bier Garden. I like that they are located in Cary rather than downtown which further adds to their uniqueness. It comes in handy as a midpoint when you have friends all spread out within the triangle. On the weekend evenings it does fill up but I have never felt like there was no room to squeeze in. Since they are quite popular, parking can be limited on peak times but we noticed a sign directing to additional parking which extends the parking quite a bit. read more

June 2014 update: I was there for some World Cup Action. The TV is rather small given the size of the room. I would recommend a few more viewing options given that Futbol is an expected pastime of an English Pub. Past Review: I love beer, but I'm not a connoisseur. The English style ales were very good though. I enjoyed the Blond and the Porter. I also catered an event there and Stu was very helpful in making the event happen. Went on a Saturday night and things were really slow and quiet. Tried a flight and enjoyed the beers, with their focus on English styles. This may not be for everyone, but I enjoy the experience of many different styles. The cask porter was my favorite, and it was great learning about how this was a true English experience. Definitely a smooth, flavorful porter. The facility was nice, and I really enjoyed talking to the bartender who was from England herself. Will go back again.Would probably go 3 1/2 stars, but Yelp won't let me. read more

Really good Coffee Amber and Porter. Don't know about the IPAs because I keep finding myself drawn back to the dark side! And the folks behind the bar have always been friendly & fast. As for the other patrons in the bar...I have always been able to strike up fun conversations and meet cool folks at this place. read more

We are in the North Carolina area on vacation from Wisconsin to visit breweries. So far Fortnight Brewing Company has had the best bartender, unfortunately we didn't get his name. The beer was also very good. If we lived in the area we'd definitely choose this establishment to hang out at. read more

I'm not a "bar person" by any stretch, but I attended an event that was held here, and the place just felt comfy. I had the ginger beer (non-alcoholic), and it was tasty and "zingy". They seemed to welcome dogs, kids, and outside food, which I viewed as a plus in terms of creating a sense of community. They don't sell food inside, but I've noticed when I have driven by that food trucks are frequent, hip visitors to their parking lot. I'll be back! read more

Finally made it over there today and we enjoyed the beers very much. We tried a flight and ended up getting a pint of blonde and a pint of strong. I don't know how much alcohol is in the strong, but I had a little buzz going on after just one (and I'm not a light weight!) There seems to be no wait staff or table service but the bartenders were quick and attentive. The ambiance is OK I guess. It does have a "garage" feel, but hopefully they'll do more with it. It's a great starting point. Maybe some music or something? Seems as if they did put a nice leather couch and recliners in the middle but unfortunately they were all being taken up by small children hanging out playing with their electronic games while mom and dad had a few beers. About half of the people in there were little kids, which I'm generally fine with, we have them too and it's a public place. But I guess I was surprised by how many there were in a place that basically only serves beer. We'll go back for the beer and to refill our growlers, but probably won't go back on a regular basis to hang out there unless they occasionally have some over age 21 hours on the weekends. read more

I would go 5 stars based on the cask ale only, my only gripe is I felt invisible for the first 10min I sat at the bar, people walking up and walking off with beer while I just sat there thinking to myself, I must look like someone who came to a brewery to just watch other people drink beer. Once they realized I had been sitting there and was an actual beer drinking who did in fact come to drink it, the service was much better and the bartenders were friendly and nice to chat with. If you haven't ever had cask ale you should definitely give it a try, it's the way beer was originally intended to be drank. The flavors are rich and creamy and it's a wonderful thing. If you don't like cask ale then you probably just suck and should leave it for the rest of us who know what a real ale is and why it's so delicious and amazing! This place does it right, I've been 3 times now and it's an hour drive so unfortunately I have to babysit a couple real ales and cut myself off early. Wish I lived within Uber range I would try them all... twice... :) read more

Decent place. Free tours, which is nice - a lot of breweries charge. Beer is decent, not my favorite in Triangle, but it's nice to have a local brewery in Cary! Also, for those interested (not my thing), they are one of the only places I know that have cask-style beer (unfiltered and unpasteurised beer, served from a cask, without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure, generally also served at or right below room temperature). In my experience, scheduled food trucks seem to bail out 80% of the time - every time I go up there expecting to see a given food truck, I'm disappointed to hear they have called out, probably because the place is usually pretty slow. Other than that, it's GREAT to have a brewery in the Cary area with friendly staff and some decent brews! read more
