We were looking for a new place to celebrate my wife's birthday, and she selected this one. It's straight off of I-88, exiting north on the left side. First off, the place is very nice looking - feast your eyes on the photos. Angled windows in front, nice table spaces, art at every table, a nice oil candle, and good enough lighting that you can read the menu without wrecking the intimate nature of a booth. The menu (photos attached) is loaded with good stuff. For an appetizer, we selected their Imperial American Wagyu Filet Carpaccio, which came with thinly sliced Wagyu Filet, topped with black truffle, king crab, kaluga caviar, panna grattato, and other tasty stuff. It was served on a white plate with bread, and was incredibly tasty. My wife ordered their Lobster Linguini (on the bill) or Linguini Aragosto on the menu. She enjoyed it very much, and even took some home. On the other hand, I went with their Butcher's Butter Spinalis which was a Ribeye Cap. It was very tender, very tasty, nicely seasoned and cooked as requested at medium rare temperature. With that, we ordered their Rosemary Potatoes, which were "family sized" (enough for two or three) and tasted great. We closed out with a cannoli which was two-sided with two different end preps, which was excellent. To work with all this, I needed a wine which would work for the seafood and the meat, so I selected a Grosjean Pinot Noir, which worked great with both. Service was very very very good - regular checks, food timing was good with each part coming out with enough time to easily finish it before the next course came out. Our waitstaff Ashley kept us watered, and even removed the cork from the wine using a wine key while standing. Nicely done! This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion, or just to go for a nice, relaxed meal. They do store their wine horizontally (like you are supposed to, see the picture) and keep it out of the sun. They also have a deli on the west end with reduced hours, so if you want something I'd suggest going there before you arrive so you don't miss it. read more

There are several things that need to improve. 1. The service is not good. They seem to hire staff that would be good at a Chilis or breakfast place. They are certainly not professional. 2. No bussers. Our dinner was over 35 minutes ago and there are stacks of plates in front of the guests. 3. The food took incredibly long to come up. From order completion to delivery it was over 40 minutes and the pizza came even later. 4. The menu items have ingredients that are unnecessary and too much. A pasta and clams dish should not have greater than 10 ingredients... nor should it be in a cream sauce. There are other items but this place has some serious improvements to make if this is going to be taken as serious restaurant. read more

To celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary, we dined at Fortunato's for the first time on 4/16/26. We had high expectations and were not disappointed! My husband let the staff know that I am disabled when he made our reservation. I rolled up to the hostess stand in my power chair, and we were checked in without delay and shown to the closest table in the house. They had already pulled one of the chairs away so I could stay seated in my scooter. Our server was Brian. He was friendly, attentive and answered all our questions. On the recommendation of a friend, I ordered the Black Sable fish entree. Just let me say that if I ever find myself on Death Row, I'll request this dish as my last meal. read more

This place was packed but the noise level was surprisingly very low. The atmosphere was very cool and the service was great. Our server Justin was a great guy. Keep his distance but was available when we needed him. He kept us informed and made us feel at home. All the food was fresh and the portions were perfect. We normally have to do take home but here we ate everything. This place is alittle pricey but the quality of the food and drinks is next to none. So well worth it especially if it a special occasion. The service was poor. The choices were not explained at all. No bread at the table and none came with a lobster lasagna meal. So I immediately ordered bread sticks and they were brought out after everyone was finished eating, including myself. They were not that busy as our reservations were for 5pm. But it still took forever to get drink refills after we had to flag the waitress down. We will not go back. read more

They were polite but needed to improve in service and familarities with menu. Vegetarian going to fish restaurant is unusual, but I like hardware, so I wanted to give this one a try. Limited Vegetarian option and in pasta they can remove meat but can not substitute with anything. So it's not worth paying a high price for it. Need to work for vegetarian options if you want to target those audience Old fashioned drink - 4.5/5 Mistake non alcoholic drinks- 5/5 - not super sweet and very light and refreshing Fava bean - 5/5 - Buttery bean dish, appetizer size must have. Foccasia bread - 4/5 - 3 sticks of bread fluffy and soft. Sauce was ok. Need a little more seasoning. Gnocchi pasts -5/5 - small portion but tasty. Went to Fortunato for the first time on a Monday night 12/22/25. We had a reservation and were sat right away. Decor and environment was very nice. It was fairly busy and all of the dishes coming out looked very good. Our server was very nice and helped us decide what to order. We ordered a peach bellini (all crafted drinks are $15), the linguini aragosta (creamy lobster pasta), the black sable (white fish with asparagus and potatoes) and our waitress asked if we would like breadsticks with our pasta and we said yes. Linguini Aragosta was very good and the breadsticks were fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend the Black Sable. So flavorful, light and fresh, but very filling. Our bill was $102 and our waitress gave us free shortbread cookies with our bill. I would definitely go back. read more

We planned a birthday celebration for two. We were promptly seated upon arriving for our reservation. There appears to be two sections of the restaurant- one side is a little "dressier" with a window into the pasta making kitchen; and the other side seems a little more casual, but quieter. There is an extensive and creative cocktail menu featuring 4 different Negronis. I was temped to try the rum based Negroni but opted for the classic. We ordered a dozen oysters (3 sets of 4 different oysters) from their oyster menu which had 4 selections. The oysters were delicious and the presentation was just as good - A full array of accompaniments and some delicious crackers. The menu is pasta and seafood centric and there were an array of interesting dishes. We ordered a lobster linguine dish (fresh pasta) and an oven roasted black sable, both of which were delicious and well prepared. The only reason for 4 stars is that the dinner service was exceedingly slow. The manager claimed that "they weren't expecting to be so busy" which seemed a lame excuse for just being understaffed, as it was a Friday evening. In fact, our waiter Will, who did a great job, is usually the bartender called into service for the evening. I will say that management did appease our concerns, and we will definitely return. Perhaps a weekday might afford better service. All considered, it was a great birthday celebration. Highly recommended for its food quality and creativity. read more

We had a really nice experience at Fortunato tonight and we really recommend this place. Let me go over what we thought were cons. There are 2 separate dining areas. One for adults only and one for families. We ended up in the family dining room and while no big deal I recommend asking to sit with the adults. The room is a little darker and has a nicer ambiance. Another con. The restaurant doesn't have bread, oil, cheese on the table. I kinda like that they don't but I can imagine some folks really missing it. Last con. The Pistachio Cheesecake was excellent and kudos for putting the berry coulis on the side. But the wife said it needed a big dollop of whipped cream on the side as well. So there are the cons. Here's what we liked. The service was great. Ashley was on the money with her explanations and recommendations. We had a great Appetizer of Gnocco Frito. 4 big puffs of dough covered in grated Parmesan with a delicious spread and Prosciutto. (Order this and you don't need bread.) We wanted a pizza and we wanted a salad but maybe next time. If we had ordered those we never could've eaten our dinner too. My wife had the Casarecce pasta with Bolognese. One bite and she said, "Now this is Bolognese!" The big scoop of ricotta on top was awesome. It melted in wonderfully. I had the Red Snapper. Everything about this dish screamed flavor! The fish was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of salt on the light breading. The risotto like pasta verde was great! The shaved Truffle was a nice touch and the Pea Tendrils absolutely made the dish! (It's the last thing I'd have thought of using but wow!) We also ordered a wonderful side dish of Baby Zucchini with a fantastic Lemon Caper Sauce. We had the Pistachio Cheesecake which was also delicious. When you pay your bill they present you with a small can of homemade cookies. A real nice tasty touch and you can take the little can home. I'm assuming a lot of thought went into the menu and food presentations. Way to go Chef. It doesn't go unnoticed. 4.5 stars because no one is perfect. Seriously, some really good pasta. I love the focaccia bread appetizer. I've been a handful of times and have yet to be disappointed. If there's a negative, I say negative... It's a little on the expensive side. That said, this might be one of those places that you get what you pay for. Drinks, appetizers, pasta call great! From the moment we walked in, the cozy yet upscale vibe of the dining room set the stage for an amazing lunch. Our waitress, Paulina, was a delight--knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. She explained that Fortunato focuses on Northern Italian cuisine, especially seafood, which excited us, as we often visit family in Northern Italy and are big fans of this style of cooking. The **wine list** offers excellent choices from across Italy, and we chose the 2023 Surrau Limizzani Vermentino di Gallura--a perfect seafood pairing. We started with **Blue Point oysters** (fresh and wonderfully sweet, enhanced by a champagne mignonette) and **Calamari a la Plancha**, which was sautéed with cherry tomatoes, arugula, shallots, and lemon shallot butter--bright and full of flavor. The **grissini** came warm and soft, perfect for soaking up the calamari butter sauce. For mains, my mom chose the **Linguini Aragosta**, and my dad and I ordered the **Ox Tail Genovese Agnolotti**. The linguini was loaded with tender lobster, complemented by a subtle fennel essence, while the agnolotti stole the show. The oxtail filling was perfectly tender, the fresh pasta divine, and the brown butter sauce (almost like a light broth) made the dish unforgettable. The finishing touch? A shaving of truffle. This is a must-try dish! To finish, we tried **Luxardo Amaretto** (surprisingly almond-free and wonderfully smooth) paired with the **Chocolate Budino**. The budino, similar to chocolate mousse, was rich but not overly sweet, and the chocolate shortbread was the ideal accompaniment. Paulina's excellent service and menu expertise made our experience extra special. Fortunato has quickly become a gem, and I'll be recommending it to everyone I know. Fortunato was absolutely fantastic! Four of us died here yesterday for dinner. Our server Lisa was such a delight. She provided outstanding service, recommendations and was engaging and friendly. We ordered cocktails to begin with. Their cocktail list has many options. We then shared some starters. First, the gnocchi fritto, which was a fried puffy pasta dough served with prosciutto di parma. The fried dough was light and airy. Then we shared the wagyu filet carpaccio. Round thin slices of beef topped with caviar, crab, creme fresh and truffle. Full of flavor. The fried whole belly clams with a creamy tartar sauce were delicious. Lightly fried and not greasy. The last thing we shared was the oxtail genovese agnolotti pasta. These little tortellini-like pasta were filled with the oxtail, which was braised in red wine. This dish was full of flavor and delicious. I can't even pick a favorite of the dishes we shared because they were all so good. I decided to go with the stone fruit burrata salad for my entrée because all those shared bites made me full. My salad had beautiful golden beets and white peaches, arugula, burrata and prosciutto. The salad was beautifully presented, and Ado fresh and bright. My husband had the black sable as his entrée, which was a perfectly grilled and moist cod. The four of us then shared dessert, a fig and apple sticky cake. This cake was served warm and so delicious. To die for! Our server gave each couple a little tin of amaretti cookies to take home at the under for meal. Such a nice touch! I'll definitely be back to this restaurant. I saw many things on the menu that I want to try., I'll definitely be making a return visit. Highly recommend! Chose Fortunato's for lunch as I am a huge fish fan. Only one other table in the restaurant ( 12:30 pm Sat) at the time so service was really good. I ordered cioppino. Way too salty. My daughter had the linguini with chunks of lobster in white sauce that was very good. Their menu is on the "gourmet" side - and lots of choices. Girls at the reception desk are very welcoming with generous smiles! We ordered the infamous "lobster roll" for dessert - It was fine. My issue is with the "kitchen administrative tax , the liquor tax, and the food tax" -- about $l0.00 in total which I found outrageous. My bill was over $120.00. I would have preferred a quieter experience - the "music" was loud and distracting. Better suited in a Mexican restaurant. Would I return? Not likely. My loyalty lies with Bonefish Grill. read more

Our waiter was fantastic. He checked on us the right amount of times and knew the menu very well and made a great suggestion and was personable. My husband and I tried different appetizers today: the best ratio price/quality/quantity had calamari a la plancha with its beautiful flavor, oysters were fresh, fried New England belly clams were very enjoyable especially taking in consideration how rarely they are offered in the local restaurants, merus king crab was delicious but the portion was too tiny for $36, this is why I will not probably order that again, prawn spiedini was great. My husband truly enjoyed his white clams pizza. His chocolate budino was pretty epic. The atmosphere was hype and the service was excellent. However, be aware that the wine pouring is very stingy for the price charged. Therefore my raising of 4 instead of 5. I will certainly be back to try new main dishes :) read more

And not only did we pay 8.25% taxes for food, 8% taxes for liquor but then they added a $2.49 admin fee onto our check??? And our waiter seemed like we were bothering him with our questions on if he recommended any dishes and when we asked if they could turn down the speaker above our table because we couldn't talk and be heard. Which they never did. In fact he got our order wrong bringing us oysters instead of rigatoni! Probably couldn't hear us?!?! It was a Monday night and very empty so it's not like he was super busy. From their deli I got a hunk of very thick focaccia, which was very good, and some bulk fresh Italian sausage, which was way too finely ground - to the point that it was a paste - and which had too little fennel seed. The reason for the dismal rating is that the receipt states that they charge a 2.8% 'kitchen administration fee' (which they seem not to have charged on my deli purchase) and that this is neither a gratuity nor a service charge, but rather is used to 'increase the wages of their hard-working kitchen team'. What a pile of bunk - it is manifestly a service charge, and if it is actually going to their staff, it could alternatively be considered a non-optional 'gratuity'. Places like this would also put in an extra couple percent for an electricity charge for 'keeping the lights on for your enhanced dining pleasure' if they thought people would fall for that, too. I never return to businesses that do shady things like this. Like all of a business's fixed costs and other operating costs, the pay of all their workers should be fully covered by their product prices. If you patronize greedy establishments such as this, you drive up costs for everyone and you deserve what they are doing to you, and many of you will be living poorly in your retirement and probably well before then. read more

Nice ambience, great service and delicious food! We went on a Thursday evening for our Anniversary. Complimentary limoncello was a nice accompaniment to our calamari appetizer. Calamari was not fried which was to our liking (European style). Lots of flavor and mixed with arugula. Entrees: Clam linguine and bolognese pasta were very flavorful.
