    house fries with curry aioli
    Cady D.

Thank you for being one of the only restaurants in the area open on Easter because we got to try a new place we've never heard about and the food ended up being amazing. We definitely found a new spot we'll be coming back to regularly! Our waiter was very friendly and kept joking that we can stay as long as we wanted because we were literally the only ones there, besides a group at the bar. It was nice to be able to have a quiet evening here. To drink, we chose to try the levant lassi and the mango lassi. Their cocktail options were unique, and I would love to come back just for the drinks alone. The ones we got were both delicious. I loved the mango popping boba in the mango lassi! To eat, we started off with the short rib hummus and house fries with curry aioli. The fries were very hot and fresh and the curry aioli was really interesting and went well with the fries. The short rib hummus was delicious and definitely my favorite food item we got. I also love the pita that they give you with it, and you can tell it's made fresh there. Both were great appetizers/snacks to pair with our cocktails! For our main dish, I chose the beef tenderloin kebob, which was good, but nothing spectacular. I took most of it home because I filled up on fries and hummus lol. Next time I'd probably just get the short rib hummus and try their falafels. For dessert, we chose the bread pudding. Yum!!!

    Manti pasta, so yum

We had a great time with two other couples here! Mosaic has fun and inventive cocktails, and one friend who loves cocktails raved about them. We had three appetizers: the baked feta, the burrata with beets, and the short rib hummus. The latter two were especially good! My husband got the lamb kebab and it was soooo tasty. I got the manti-style pasta, and while it was not what I expected, I loved it! Scrumtious handmade thick noodles and tender beef, and the leftovers might've been even better. Another couple split the lamb shank and let me try it, and it was fantastic--tender and flavorful. I've also been for coffee with a friend during the day and there's a chill vibe for working or hanging out. The staff was super friendly, too. For sure we'll be back!

You have to try this one! Perfect hospitality. Fun and upbeat setting. Extensive bar offerings. Creative gourmet food. Down to earth yet extra special. Good prices. Comfortable seating. Chef Charlie is truly amazing. The best chiramisu I've had and it includes in Italy! Owner Patrick is positively the perfect host. Every dish was delicious, balanced, interesting and satisfying. Amazingly, they're the best french fries I've had anywhere in many years. The services perfect. Thank you, Sloane! Let's put this place on the map! Gorgeous downtown Geneva on beautiful 3rd Street. What a location. Couldn't be more fun.

We came for their New Year's Eve event and it was absolutely amazing! We snagged reservations about 2 weeks out and they ended up fully booked. The place is pretty small and it seemed that it was best suited for groups of 2 or 4 people. It was a set menu starting with each course representing a different country. It stated with a bite sized chicken shooter which was the perfect was to prep our taste buds for what was to come. The first course was from Greece and consisted of some dips and pita bread. Then came Morocco with charred octopus (my personal favorite of the night). The third course was from Turkey which consisted of lamb dumplings. The fourth course from Dubai was a Wagu kabob (so tender!). And we finished with a chocolate raspberry cake from France which was an explosion of flavor. The staff did an excellent job pacing the meal to make it an experience and were on top of dirty dishes and water refills. Can't wait to be back to try some items from their regular menu!

We came here for drinks and dessert. Nick, the manager, was such a delight. The restaurant serves Mediterranean food. We chose both the tiramisu and baklava custard pie. Never tasted this type of pie! I would take a whole pie if I could. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated with art pieces from a friend. When you go to the restroom, there is an amazing picture of three martians. It depicts Nick and his two partners. It was a pleasure to meet him and the next time I return, I will be sure to dine and try one of the many dishes.

    Happy hour.

Went to Mosaic for happy hour. Wow this is our new favorite happy hour place. Great drinks and handshakes with beer and shots. The hummus and beef kabobs were both fantastic. Couldn't have nicer bartenders. Nick and Josh are very gracious hosts. Great to have a 3rd street bar restaurant that's is fun to be at. Recommended!

Came here for my brothers birthday and it was such a great experience. Between location, decor & ambiance, food and service..its one of my new fave spots. Adana kebab tasted very authentic and flavorful, lamb shanks was tender and well seasoned, the pita was so soft and pillows, and the falafel bowl really gave that fresh, acidic, crunchy contrast to all the savory meats. I will definitely come back here to try out brunch.

A wonderful breakfast experience! The best avocado toast and speciality latte that I've had in the Chicago suburbs. Highly recommend!!

Mosaic brings both creative delicious cocktails and delicious Mediterranean inspired food to downtown Geneva. To start, my dining partner (mother) and I tried two cocktails, both of which were great and made excellent use of the ingredients described (who knew blueberry goat cheese rum would be so good). For a starter, we split the short rib hummus, very good! The main course was the house special lamb pasta and lamb kabobs. The pasta was clearly made fresh and was tender with a ton of flavor present in the lamb braise. Along with those, we enjoyed some crispy roast carrots, so good! At the end of it all, we spoke with one of the owners (Nick). Very nice guy, who definitely has some serious mixology knowledge. Would highly recommend here to anyone seeking a cozy spot for creative drinks done well and delicious food.

We also had the lobster pasta wow on the sauce and they were NOT shy with the lobster! Which also was fresh and delicious! On my…read morevisit here, I had the opportunity to try two dishes off the shareables menu and was super impressed with both of them. Service was also quick and friendly throughout the entire meal. The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.

They are family friendly so you can bring your kids here and they have a good selection of arcade games, as well as an amazing selection of beer and their food is really good (especially the french fries-they stay crispy, even after an hour or two of sitting. I visited Rec Haus for the first time a couple months ago, and have been there a lot since. I…read morerecently looked at their Yelp reviews, because I wanted to leave one of my own. I'm going to leave my honest review while also noting what I saw from other people -FOOD is actually really good here! And it's gotten better since they first opened. They added a lot of stuff recently. My first time there I had a wrap that was huge and really good, fries are epic. -DRINKS Their beer wall is literally local, not "fake local" with Chicago beers lol. They have a really wide range of things at the bar and cocktails were cool, but I haven't tried too many of them. -GAMEPLAY has content deals going on, huge selection of games, impressive variety for the space. -VIBE is EPICCCCC. They hit the sweet spot for being kid friendly, corporate friendly, and college frat boy friendly all at the same time. Super rare to be able to pull that off. It's laid out well and designed well for that to happen. I've seen moms work at the bar tables with a beer and lunch whole their kid goes to play games. I've been there myself with kids around and during late night hours and never once felt like I was around a bunch of children or a bunch of belligerents. Impressive. Good for LITERALLY anyone and everyone. -STAFF has been pretty helpful 10/10 times. I feel like they're all super kind which reflects on the management in my opinion. When I've had a problem or noticed someone else was a bit upset or hadn't gotten fast service on busy hours, they seemed to be willing to problem solve (I like to eavesdrop). I think they're well trained to work with customer service in mind, again has to be reflecting on management, -NO CASH! This seems to be the new norm at a lot of places, and they don't do any extra CC fees that literally every other business has. Honestly, I've seen some people that maybe had a bad experience and they could have been more understanding before reviewing, but I've been the same way. All that said, I love this little gem in St Charles and it's nice to have some variety in options out here. I want to see small businesses do well so they've got my loyalty for sure!
