We visited Mosaic Kitchen last Saturday for a dinner and the experience was great. We are happy when places like that open their doors offering , new vibe and something new in Geneva. Mediterranean cusine is definitely one of our favorite ones and all the flavors are there. We mosly tried the mezze hot and cold dishes to share and a bottle of nice Sancerre wine. House Sampler-you can try all three spreads at one plate, all were very good but the Muhammara definitely stood up as the best. Olives--very well seasoned, we always try olives and definitely a must. Lamb Chops--perfectly seared, served with fantastic slaw and chimichuri. Falafel--was good, classic, could be a little bit more moist in our opinion. Special: Hamachi crudo with Mango sauce--this was a spectacular dish, one of the best we lately had. Fish was fresh and the presentation was amazing. Came here for lunch with a friend on a Friday. I made a reservation for 11:30am and we were able to sit wherever we wanted. The place is super cute inside and there is parallel parking in front of the restaurant along with a city parking lot across the street. Their menu has many items listed as GF and the server was very knowledgeable. The sangria couldn't be confirmed GF so she said she can make her own with my choice of wine. I picked the rose and it was delicious. We shared a GF baked feta and I had the vegan tagine as my entree. The sauce had a hint of spice and was on the sweeter side. The server brought out cut vegetables for the feta and white rice for my dish since I couldn't have the lavash. The food and server were excellent. Thank you for being one of the only restaurants in the area open on Easter because we got to try a new place we've never heard about and the food ended up being amazing. We definitely found a new spot we'll be coming back to regularly! Our waiter was very friendly and kept joking that we can stay as long as we wanted because we were literally the only ones there, besides a group at the bar. It was nice to be able to have a quiet evening here. To drink, we chose to try the levant lassi and the mango lassi. Their cocktail options were unique, and I would love to come back just for the drinks alone. The ones we got were both delicious. I loved the mango popping boba in the mango lassi! To eat, we started off with the short rib hummus and house fries with curry aioli. The fries were very hot and fresh and the curry aioli was really interesting and went well with the fries. The short rib hummus was delicious and definitely my favorite food item we got. I also love the pita that they give you with it, and you can tell it's made fresh there. Both were great appetizers/snacks to pair with our cocktails! For our main dish, I chose the beef tenderloin kebob, which was good, but nothing spectacular. I took most of it home because I filled up on fries and hummus lol. Next time I'd probably just get the short rib hummus and try their falafels. For dessert, we chose the bread pudding. We had a great time with two other couples here! Mosaic has fun and inventive cocktails, and one friend who loves cocktails raved about them. We had three appetizers: the baked feta, the burrata with beets, and the short rib hummus. The latter two were especially good! My husband got the lamb kebab and it was soooo tasty. I got the manti-style pasta, and while it was not what I expected, I loved it! Scrumtious handmade thick noodles and tender beef, and the leftovers might've been even better. Another couple split the lamb shank and let me try it, and it was fantastic--tender and flavorful. We came for their New Year's Eve event and it was absolutely amazing! We snagged reservations about 2 weeks out and they ended up fully booked. The place is pretty small and it seemed that it was best suited for groups of 2 or 4 people. It was a set menu starting with each course representing a different country. It stated with a bite sized chicken shooter which was the perfect was to prep our taste buds for what was to come. The first course was from Greece and consisted of some dips and pita bread. Then came Morocco with charred octopus (my personal favorite of the night). The third course was from Turkey which consisted of lamb dumplings. The fourth course from Dubai was a Wagu kabob (so tender!). And we finished with a chocolate raspberry cake from France which was an explosion of flavor. The staff did an excellent job pacing the meal to make it an experience and were on top of dirty dishes and water refills. Can't wait to be back to try some items from their regular menu! read more

We came here for a Saturday brunch. Everything ok the menu sounded delicious, so it was difficult to choose. I ended up ordering the Spanakopita Quiche, and I think that was the best quiche I've ever had. The flavor combination was fantastic. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture before I started devouring it. We also ordered the smoked salmon on brioche which was equally as delicious, with piles of the best smoked salmon. For dessert we had the baklava custard which had a somewhat "pie-like" consistency, sweet but not overly so, and was also delicious! The wait staff was very attentive and so very nice. We came here for drinks and dessert. Nick, the manager, was such a delight. The restaurant serves Mediterranean food. We chose both the tiramisu and baklava custard pie. Never tasted this type of pie! I would take a whole pie if I could. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated with art pieces from a friend. When you go to the restroom, there is an amazing picture of three martians. It depicts Nick and his two partners. Adana kebab tasted very authentic and flavorful, lamb shanks was tender and well seasoned, the pita was so soft and pillows, and the falafel bowl really gave that fresh, acidic, crunchy contrast to all the savory meats. To start, my dining partner (mother) and I tried two cocktails, both of which were great and made excellent use of the ingredients described (who knew blueberry goat cheese rum would be so good). For a starter, we split the short rib hummus, very good! The main course was the house special lamb pasta and lamb kabobs. The pasta was clearly made fresh and was tender with a ton of flavor present in the lamb braise. Along with those, we enjoyed some crispy roast carrots, so good! At the end of it all, we spoke with one of the owners (Nick). Very nice guy, who definitely has some serious mixology knowledge. Tried this place recently. The place is nice, modern, inviting with low lighting, and clean. I tried the beef skewers/kebob - doesn't come with actual skewers but actually it was pretty good - the meat was tender and tasty, well seasoned. The pita was interesting, a little bit thicker than I am used to, and fresh. the rice was fine. I believe it also came with a little side salad which I don't really eat. Pricing was ok, $23. Some of the pricing was ok, others seemed a little high. I felt the food options were a little limited also -seems like they had quite a few drinks which I didn't try (went with water) but the food choices were not that much. I felt the service was also rather slow - I went for lunch and there were only a few people/tables. The waitress was pleasant but seemed to take a while to get my order and even longer for anyone to come back when I was trying to pay and leave. I literally had to ask the bar tender gentleman who was nice enough to ring me up. Not sure why the service wouldn't have been more prompt when there were so few customers? Free parking in the front. I would potentially come back to try other stuff but hope the service is a little bit more speedy. read more

The food tasted fresh, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was good. I do think there are a few areas that could be improved, but nothing that would stop us from coming back. One thing I would love to see is the option to have veggies served with the spreads, instead of only pita. The spreads are delicious, but having veggies as an option would make it feel a little lighter and more balanced. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. I've been to Mosaic twice now, and both visits have been outstanding. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, warm, and invitingperfect for a date night, gathering with friends, or simply enjoying a great dinner with the family. The food has been exceptional each time. The falafel was flavorful and perfectly prepared, the fries were crisp and delicious with the Curry Aioli sauce, and the beef tenderloin kabobs with rice were tender, seasoned beautifully, and cooked to perfection. The drinks were equally impressive and complemented the meal perfectly. A special shout-out to Josh, the bartender, who was personable, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The owner were also friendly and genuinely cared about providing a great experience for their guests. Nick very customer centric. I will definitely be coming back for brunch here for sure. The food was pretty good, I got a iced london fog and the Adana lamb kebab, the London fog tasted good and the kebab was good as well. It was a little bland but I did like how the tzatziki sauce had feta in it. My friend got a plain Jane burger which also tasted pretty good. Our food did take a while to get here, which didn't make sense as the restaurant wasn't busy. However, other than those few things I'd rate it a 3.75/5, I will definitely come back here for brunch hopefully our food won't take a while to come. read more

What a great restaurant! Visiting from NJ, I went there for dinner on a Friday night with a group of nine(!) friends and was blown away by the deliciousness of the food. Each of us (except the less-adventuresome eaters) chose a dish, and we shared them. The one I chose, Beet and Smoked Lebneh, was everyone's favorite, but there was nothing left on our large table when we were done. As for the aforementioned less-adventuresome eaters, they had the most delicious-looking hamburgers I have ever seen. Such conflict; I wanted some of everything, including dessert! The cocktails were great--very creative--and the staff was charming and attentive. Now if only I could get Chef Charlie Smith to open a branch in Northern New Jersey... It was the perfect mix of creamy feta, chewy bread, fresh tomatoes, and tangy balsamic. For dinner, we had Chicken kabobs which were perfectly grilled, tender, and deliciously spiced. The staff was extremely attentive, and one of the owners is a sommelier, so I can't remember which wine he sent me, but it enhanced my my kabob perfectly. Maybe I was too excited for a Mediterranean restaurant in my backyard? It has a warm atmosphere and the nicest serving staff. I truly felt taken care of by the support staff for the server. We got the baked feta appetizer that was scorched on the bottom but still edible. The Pita bread was on point! My dinner of the lazy dumpling pasta was spicy (which was not noted on the menu) but good. My husband's beef tenderloin kabob was mids. All in all the food was ok but with room for improvement. It's nice to see a lively restaurant in this space. I haven't tried their coffee yet, but I plan to. We went there for dinner on a weeknight and it was surprisingly busy. Our drinks were excellent. Some of their specialty cocktails had unusual ingredients, like "chicken spice" and tzatziki - not sure I'd want to try those. That said, I'd like to see more middle eastern ingredients in the cocktails, like arak, pomegranate, rose water, etc. The service was excellent, with very attentive and knowledgeable servers. The food was okay. Portions were generous. The beef kebab was tough and dry, using meat that would have been better suited for braising, not grilling. The chicken kebab was much better. Falafel wasn't seasoned enough, neither was the hummus. My biggest issue was the NOISE. There's no carpeting, ceiling insulation, or wall covers, so the acoustics are terrible. We could not hear each other from across the table without raising our voices, and the overall din was deafening. If you have sound sensitivity, this is not the place for you. Even when only 20 guests were remaining, it was very loud. Third Street has plenty of Italian food, Mexican food, pub fare, and burgers, so Middle Eastern food is a nice addition. It might be good for the local palate, but we ourselves have been to many outstanding and authentic Middle Eastern restaurants, and this doesn't come even close. Locally, we prefer Chef Abdul in Saint Charles, and Jamrah in Sycamore. Galit in Chicago is fantastic and has a great cocktail menu featuring Middle Eastern spirits and flavors. All in all, this will not be added to our roster of local restaurants. read more

We had a great experience out with friends at Mosaic this weekend. We love downtown Geneva and this is definitely a wonderful addition. The food was fantastic. You could tell how much care went into each dish that we had - starting with our appetizers and going through to our dinners. The drinks were also phenomenal and we enjoyed watching the bartender create some unique ones. The environment is also beautiful and very comfortable. Cool place to go out with family or friends. Check it out!
