The floors are bad. Lots of indentations. I fell pretty bad and ended up in urgent care. No one asked if I was ok or offered to help as I left. I was out of work for 6 weeks. I will go to other Roller Rinks that are more safe. read more

Forum Roller World is located in Grand Prairie, off Great Southwest near Pioneer 303, delivering a fun filled family oriented environment for just about anyone looking to have some fun while staying active. We have been here multiple times to let the kids get loose and enjoy roller skating. There is a parking lot provided, but it can and will fill up fast depending on the time and day you go on. The tickets to enter are fair and reasonably priced and can be purchased at the front door. The skate rental is an additional charge if you do not have any skates. They have discounts on certain days of the week, and I would highly suggest checking on the website for the most up to date information. They have tables and chairs for kids' birthday parties that are very common on the weekdays during the daytime. There is also a snack bar where you can purchase food and drinks. They have typical snacks such as pizza, nachos, and pickles. There are also a couple of vending machines inside that have cold drinks and snacks as well. The rink is large and is perfect for large groups to attend and have fun. They have age group races to participate in and also play appropriate music for all ages. They even offer skating lessons for a fair price as well as figure skating classes if you're a bit more serious in skating. Overall, Forum Roller World is a great place to go to and have an awesome time. The kids' birthday parties always turn out well and are reasonably priced and won't break the bank. read more

So I used to love going to forum to because I love to skate and the vibes are good for the most part. I booked a birthday party for my 39th birthday on May 2nd, and I am disappointed. The customer service at the front was good, and the food service was good. But being that I was celebrating my birthday and paid almost $200.00. I asked for a few songs (Montell Jordan, come on ride that train, and roll bounce) and was turned down more than once and had a few of my guests request songs and both the dudes/dj's refused to play and asked me if Young Buck was okay to play. (all were kid friendly songs) My party was 7:30pm to 9:30pm. I guess because I was an adult, I got a shout out at 9:15 then finally got one of my requested songs. I didn't feel the need to rent out the whole skating rink for 7 to 10 guests. From my understanding, when you skate slower you on the inside and fast on the outside. The dj and his friends was flying in and out everybody like they owned the skating rink for the night. Upon booking I was someone would have told me that this wasn't a good night to book instead of just collecting. I have a free pass but I'm good I don't want to go back. I could have said something while I was there but I didnt want to get upset in front of my child. My party was a kid friendly event, so I wanted to accommodate the kids that were coming as well. Tuesday $5 to get in and $5 to skate. Plus you can get regular skates, speed skates, and/or inline skates for the same price! Food is your typical skating rink food when it comes to pizza, hotdogs, nachos and etc. The floor is smooth and the place is pretty big. Music gotta better as we went into the night other than that bring your own headphones. My family and I will return to this location anytime we are visiting Arlington. read more

We decided to book this place site unseen for my daughters birthday party and we had a blast! I'm a review girl so I will read multiple reviews before I pull the trigger on a place. The staff was so easy to work with and it's super affordable. If you're a mom of multiple children you know how expensive birthdays can get. If I can make this an annual birthday part for my daughter that would be a win. They give you a long table with plenty of space and they don't hassle you but if you need something you can walk right up to the window. Definitely will be back. read more

Reserved for a private party here yesterday. Had the BEST TIME! I looked at all the rinks in the area (Arlington skating, cedar hill, & red bird). We are so happy with our decision to spend it here! Why? Bc: 1. It was very clean, and it's been in business since 1970s and the same family owning it! The place has been kept up! It is sooo big and so roomy. It was perfect for our party. A great large parking areas too! All my guests were so surprised and impressed with the upkeep and cleanliness! As old as this place is, it looked brand new inside! 2. It didn't stink like the other rinks Ive been at (Arlington has a bad stink and it's dirty and run down, btw is the newest rink). 4. DONNA- the manager, and the staff were amazing! Donna was so sweet and communicated with us with such a sweet manner! After our part, I had to give her the biggest hug. I loved her! Great Rink Friendly staff huge floor Went for a skate convention, they had plenty of parking and have many many handicap parking spots for those with disabilities. Which I thought was extra cool. My family loves Forum. My 17 year old has been skating there since he learned as a small child in their Saturday classes. We've tried out many floors in this region and it is clean and maintained better than most. Good people running a solid family oriented business. Highly recommend. read more

Such a gem, and so thankful someone recommended this skating rink. I really enjoy coming on Thursday and Sunday night. The DJ is wonderful and sets a great mood playing the perfect mix of new and old songs at the right moments in the night. I just decided to get into skating and this place has a lot of inspiration - some of the best skaters I've ever seen. I'm not on their level yet but one day I hope to be! The rink is clean with ample storage space for items you may have brought. It's not too large which I appreciate because it gives the rink a homey feeling. Came here on a Sunday night for Adult Skate night. Admission was $6 and $3 for skates. Credit cards are accepted. This particular night happened to be Greek night before MLK day, so it was packed out with collegiate fraternity brothers and sorority sisters. About 70% of the people were non-skaters just posted on the outskirts of the rink. I was a part of the 30% who had a blast on wheels! There was some really good talent and regulars out there on the rink too which I found pretty entertaining. I hadn't skated in such a long time, but I enjoyed myself and thought it was also a fun little workout. It's also a good way to ween yourself out of the club lol. If you're 30+, you definitely need to get your butt up out of the the clubs already. So just go ahead and come dance on wheels a bit and get it out of your system. This rink is a bit far out of a drive for me, but I would come back on occasion or bring some youngsters on a different night. The DJ was good and didn't play anything horribly ratchet which was my main concern. They had a concession stand, but I didn't order anything. Fun night. 4 stars instead of 5, because it's old and parking was hard to find. read more

Ahh...roller skating!! I remember it was a very innocent time in my life. Every Friday and Saturday night...we would put on our rented skates...and show off our moves on the floor. We used to have rails around the rink for the clumsy skaters...now they have these things that are almost like old man walkers but instead of tennis balls on the bottom....there was wheels. I remember learning how to skate the old fashion way....by falling on my ass!!! This place was a mine field!!! Along with these kids that had no sense of direction..but now have these apparatuses in my way!! I ended up crashing into 2 kids at the same time....one with one of those damn walker thingies!! I made sure he was ok...but still....those things are a hap hazard!! While it was a fun cheap night out....too many kids. I remember when we went in junior high....kids were my age...and not as many kids under the age of 10. This place closed promptly at 1030. After we were told the wrong info that this place turned into an adult skate only after 11....and that its BYOB....we left the barrio. Some went to another place to partake in beverages...I went home and iced my ass after the nasty fall I took. I enjoyed it for what it was....good clean fun.....great exercise (didnt get in my workout that day).too far out for me...will try it again some other place closer to my house or go back for the designated adult night on a holiday weekend. PS: Adults night is Sunday night from 9pm to 1am. I will go back for that. I hear its people close to our age group...and booze is allowed!!! The best of both worlds!! Hahaha!! read more

In reference to the Sunday night adult session: This is the place to come if you're looking to just stand in one place. DJ plays what he wants to hear and hops out to skate, yet we are paying to hear music to vibe to. Excellent roller skating rink! I've been gradually improving my skate abilities and LOVE the adult nights. However, if you're an amateur skater, come on Thursday (practice night). I wouldn't advise Sunday. Dallas is home to some serious skaters with skills so they give the good people (who need more space) on the outer lanes and put the beginners (who basically only go straight) on the inside. It's amazing experience to have especially for $6. Also, it's one of the few rinks where you can actually find a DJ who plays music for a real skater crowd! I'd say that it's actually a good place to hang out with friends, but before it was only $7(without skating)to get in and $3 for regular skates, but now they're making you pay the extra $3 for the skates even if you're not going to. In general it's not a bad place, they have races every now and then or they play green light red light for the younger kids or anyone in general They also have a police officer around in case of fights between teenagers read more

I had my daughter a private graduation skate party. The staff was very helpful and courteous! My only issue was I was told by parents that they had to pay for the tool that beginner skaters use to hold on to. How in the hell do you rent out the skating rink and they would charge for this pvc pipe????!!!!!! To me this was greed!!! Do better last but not least if I rent out the place for 40 skaters why do I have to go back to the front and get a dam ticket YOU FOR DAM SURE did not see 40 people skating. Been a long time since I've skated but it was a fun workout, fun for the kids along with trainers like walkers for those just learning. Great price that makes healthy fun affordable. And all the staff were friendly and helpful for those that haven't skated before. Definitely would go back. Didn't have any parking issues because we got there when they first opened on a weekday. I did not feel comfortable. And they were telling me where to skate! No. I dont want to skate in the middle because I dont know how to skate! We didnt even last for 10 minutes. Guys do not go here.
