I had the Red Lodge Chicken Salad and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich, both were delicious! Ambiance was spot on with the mix of country music, taxidermy, wooden interior, and cleanliness. We sat at the bar and the friendly, young lady bartender was very nice and made a great margarita for me. Now, the food...we ordered the nachos with chicken: it was so dry and not worth the calories. The only thing that saved it was the white queso dip to sink the chips into. The French dip was not bad and the chips with it appeared homemade, but were pretty salty. After having zero luck with good food (from a foodies perspective that lives around tons of options) near the north entrance of Yellowstone, my husband and I were thrilled to find this place. The server brought a menu and I asked about the steak selection...to my astonishment, they only offered one steak: The Pub Steak. I was hoping for a ribeye or something much more juicy. Food was decent, our server was sweet and attentive. My problem was with the rude manager. We ordered a salad without chicken for the vegan in our group. It was served with chicken on top so we asked for a new one. When we got the bill we were charged for 2 salads. When I explained the situation to the manager, he accused us of eating both salads (the server had removed the incorrect one immediately and we did not eat it). I could not make the manager understand and I asked him repeatedly to bring our server over so she could vouch. He was argumentative. At one point he said to me, "Are YOU really doing this right now?" He eventually removed 1 salad begrudgingly from our bill. He was a complete jerk and has no concept of customer service. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a motorcycle trip. It looked super crowded when we walked in but were were able to get 2 seats at the bar right away. Being a Sunday, all the TVs had football games on and I happily was seated right in front of the Packers/Vikings game. Being a native Cheesehead, I was sad to see the Pack losing, but we were sitting next to some Vikings fans so they were happy. As we were still riding, I can't speak to any of the alcohol related items, but the club sandwich was better-than-bar-level. Very enjoyable. Bartender was super friendly (also a native Cheesehead so there's that). I'd love to come back when off the bikes so I could sit at the bar and drink with the locals. Sports Bar! You'd think this place would be all about the Cincinnati Reds... Red Lodge?! Anyhow, this is a sports bar that seems to focus on NFL and college football, but I'm sure they'll show baseball or basketball too. This place serves up some pub food, along with beers and a full bar. They seem to focus on Montana liquors as well, with a healthy selection of local spirits and beers available. I opted for the bison burger, served up with cheese. It's never quite as good as good ol' beef, but it's novel. It seems a bit dryer than beef, a bit leaner, but the cheese is a good way to keep things interesting. It's tasty, and filling. They also offered desserts, but I didn't opt for them. The service was nice, fast, and proficient. The place was clean, well lit. Bathrooms are at the rear. The restaurant was wheelchair accessible, the front door even had a special latch to keep the door open while we wheeled inside. You can tell by all the flags that the owners have put up, it's a real college ball place. I was pleased to see both University of Texas, Texas A&M, even Iowa State banners, but no Southern Methodist University or University of Texas at San Antonio flags. The food here is to die for. I love the burgers and fried pickles. Don't get me started on the mozzarella sticks! It has taken them long to prepare and serve food even on a slow day so that was a problem (But nobody's perfect) I would give this place a 5 but I had gone there with a family member who is deathly allergic to gluten. She asked if they have any gluten free drinks and the waiter informed her that 'Corona' the beer, is gluten free. We left after that since...that's some bs. When we came back a few times it was much better, but that first time did make a number on it's reputation in our family. Walked in after 6 hours of driving and thought we were going to get the usual "busy bar" service but we were surprised! Olivia provided great service and the food was 10/10, if you want a real burger its in folos:consistent, big patty cooked as I ordered, dank cheese, fresh onions, good quality bacon and it was big, most places give you a medium burger and sell it as if it was bigger. Not at folos. I was offered another beer before I could ask for it (I was thinking about it). Even though the place was packed and busy there was a polite ambiance coming from the servers, especially Olivia. "A family bar" if that term exists... sometimes you get surprised looking for food after a long trip and you're looking for any place that's open. This is exactly what happened last night. My dad and I came to visit red lodge from Phoenix Arizona, this was our last stop in town before we left. I wish we had come sooner. The food was great. The burger was juicy and super filling, the fries were done perfectly! I had a huckleberry whiskey with tea and it was delicious. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, we sat up on the second floor which look down into the pub. The music was great, I love Tame Impala so that made me feel at home. To our surprise, not only did they have a good variety on the menu but a live jazz band had just started playing. Here on recommendation and happy to have taken it. Ended up in Red Lodge after crossing the Beartooth Highway. Service is fine, if a little indifferent - but it is a bar after all. Beer selection great. Enjoyed a Red Lodge Bent Nail IPA. We got buffalo burgers and a salad. Burgers were really good, a little on the rare side (ordered medium, came medium rare), but really nice grilled flavor. House Salad was unremarkable, lettuce and some raisins and nuts, but fine. The atmosphere is fun and my daughter loved the huge bison head over the bar! Would recommend to friends! read more

Welllll well well. After a day out on the mountain snow shoeing and seeing a bear foot print my friend here we were completely starved.! It had been an exhilarating time but we were ready to get food into our systems because we were acting deranged. We have been talking about cheeseburger for the past three days!! So today was our chance as we had worked up appetites. My friend is a lousy vegetarian though and we can't find the veggie burger anywhere in this little red lodge town, Montana meat eaters. But regardless we decide to go to foster the people because they had a veggie sandwich which appeased her. I order the Buffalo burger and I asked for well done but I soon learned that's not how they cook bison so I said a little less than well done. Well well welll then the time comes to pick up our food and I go in there it's completely unhinged and deranged in there. Everyone in there is completely deranged and unmasked even the workers, as a patron of the USA this made me uncomfortable but I still had to get my food. I don't know why it was so deranged in there but the food was pretty good, my burger was really pink but I guess that's how we prepare our bison burgers out here. My friend thought her sandwich was really appealing considering most vegetarian sandwiches suck ass and are fraudulent. Although she didn't know what a ciabatta was, idiot. She had to rip the ciabatta down to get a bite in. Anyways I enjoyed my bison my fried were a little soggy and I understand this. The truth is, I'm satisfied with my meal overall the burger was huge half pounder but I just only wish the establishment wasn't completely deranged in the head with covid. This was not my first meal here, but I was super impressed this time with the staff. With a completely full restaurant after the hot rod weekend, they were still on top of their game. The food was excellent and server was smiling and on spot. Between us, we had the Reuben, Buffalo Club and Oh my Gouda steak sandwich and chicken Parmesan sandwich.
