The small details immediately caught my attention--each table adorned with fresh flowers in charming vases, adding a thoughtful and personal touch. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. I did notice they have an outdoor patio out back, but the atmosphere inside was too good to pass up. We began with the spring pea salad--an absolute standout--featuring creamy ricotta, crisp snap peas, fresh mint, and pistachios. It was fresh, crunchy, and beautifully balanced. We added a slice of toasted ciabatta bread, topping it with the salad to make our own bruschetta-style bites, which turned it into a perfect little dish. Next came the spice-roasted carrots, which were every bit as flavorful as they were beautiful, followed by the pork belly barbecue with a blueberry barbecue sauce. The sweetness of the sauce paired beautifully with the rich pork belly, creating a dish that was both comforting and elevated. For drinks, I had the Jayne Mansfield--a bright, refreshing, and totally unique cocktail--while my mom enjoyed the Lauren Bacall, which she loved. The restaurant's name comes from a fun and memorable story: the owners were discussing their plans to open the restaurant when they spotted a one-legged magpie. We had dinner at really nice dinner Granny's Rrstaurant and stopped for a drink after at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill. While sitting at the bar, we observed a woman grab a plastic cup off a stack. Another cup stuck to the 1st cup. The woman removed the 2nd cup by sticking her hand in the cup and then putting the cup back on the stack. We told her she should keep that cup instead. She said it was no big deal and none of our business. She then walked behind us and was bad mouthing us. We felt very threatened. I took the dirty cup and handed it to a bartender and asked him to put it in the garbage. The woman then went behind the bar and dramatically threw the cup in the garbage while continuing to slur words at us. We were astounded at this display of aggression. The bartender then said "You must not be from around here and you should mind your own business!" SHE'S THE OWNER AND CAN DO ANYTHING SHE WANTS TO.
