We have used Fosters Appliances for many years. Most recently we needed our LG Dishwasher repaired and Valetnyn did a great job. The part came in faster than expected and he was back within a few days to make the repair. Last fall we made the mistake and called a different repair company to fix our stove top. After 3 visits and still the same issue happening I decided to call Fosters. Within an hour of the technician arriving my stove top was fixed and is still in top shape. We were initially referred to Fosters using our home warranty but I still call them now that our warranty has expired. The first time we used them was 2018 and now we have had them do work in two different homes. I am grateful for their great service and reasonable prices~! read more

The absolute worst company to have come out to diagnose or do any repairs. We had a very poor experience with a technician who literally had no idea how to look at our appliance and we still were charged. It was very disappointing to spend this time and be blamed for it not working properly. Very strange incident. I would definitely keep looking for an actual reputable appliance repair company to get done what you need to. Speed Queen reached out to Fosters to cover a warranty repair on my front loader. The guy they sent out spoke ZERO english (no, he wasn't a Spanish speaker or I would have been fine). The order that Speed Queen sent Fosters clearly said that the tech needs to call Speed Queen on this service call. Not sure how that's going to happen, this guy could barely use Google Translate. Ended up spending $500, they came out twice and couldn't fix the issue, each time recommended parts and labor, and it worked for a few days, then stopped. When we called them out to diagnose again, they charged another service fee and basically said they could try something different but don't guarantee that it will work. I have American Home Shield, so I did my research and tried to find vendors with good reviews and technicians there too since i had a terrible experience with a previous AC AHS vendor. I saw that Valentyn and Fosters was getting good reviews, so I requested them and Valentyn for my fridge repair. Valentyn came and indicated that the issue with my fridge was that something had become plugged up, so he unplugged it, so liquid could flow through again. He was also patient , polite, and gave us tips of how to help maintain the fridge. He recommended that we defrost the fridge but we told him that we were not able to do that in the near future and he said ok but try to do that as soon as possible since the fridge would not be operating properly until it was completely defrosted. read more

they came to my house on a service request from AMERICAN home shield , other then making money from ahs , they tried to swindle me with $300 out of my pocket other then the $100 i paid to ahs stating that in order to diagnose the compressor must install valve line LG and other 4 appliance repairs told me its SCAM makes you believe ahs will not pay for repairs so i let the tech leave my house then he reported to ahs i contacted ahs corporate and showed them the proof in 3 ways foster statement and your rejection to repair is fraud, their for ahs did pay for my fridge replacement and i can prove it to foster scam appliances repair, so the best advice, do your home work carefully before hand and don't let this company rip you off. sad to say this is the wrong way to earn a living , thinking you can corner customers last minutes, stress them to pay you in order not to loss repairing their appliances or replacement. i have proof that ahs paid me and the fund in my account , if i let go trusting foster scam just because they did not make $300 makes you loose the entire $1500. read more

Our refrigerator stopped cooling and we called Fosters that afternoon to schedule a service. The technician arrived as scheduled and determined that the compressor had failed. He wrote out an estimate for the repair. Later, I received a call from Foster's and they informed me that the compressor was still under the manufacturer's warranty period. The receptionist gave me the service number for the manufacturer and told me to call them, provide the serial number, and that they will then schedule a no charge repair. For the 85.00 price of the Foster's service call, I saved over 1000.00 in repair costs. This is a company with integrity and honesty. I highly recommend them for any appliance repair. read more

Via American Home shield, Fosters appliances scheduled an appointment to Repair my Oven (Amana). On October 6, a guy name VALENTINE came to my house, I explain the issue and without checking or opening the oven he immediately assume that the Oven knobs were broken. I explained that the knobs were removable for cleaning, however he insisted on his version. He was unprofessional and did not even bother to open and check what the problem was. He limited to check his phone for long time without even touching the oven. he was just taking pictures. It was clear that he didn't know what to do. I did not hear status of the situation until two weeks later after calling AHS. They told me that he reported that I damaged the oven knobs on purpose, and for that reason they rejected to repair or fix my oven. This man doesn't know anything about ovens and he laid just to excuse his lack of knowledge. read more

I had an insurance claim through American Home Shield and they assigned this business to come to my house to look at my washing machine and other appliances. They told me that I need to leave almost my whole day open from 12 PM to 5 PM. Basically, I had to take the day off, but I needed to get my washing machine fixed. They sent a guy who can't speak proper English, which was frustrating because it was difficult for me to talk to him and vice versa. Per owner response, he implies technician spoke English. All lies. The man can barely form 1 sentence. I was asking him questions about my appliances, and he struggled to tell me what was wrong and instead he would write it in the report, Nothing was on report . He looked at my washing machine for two minutes and said "oh not fixable." my washing machine was making a noise and he couldn't tell me why it was not fixable. He told me to call my insurance company. Then he pulls out my microwave out of my built-in wall and I ask him what is wrong with it after he was looking at it for 45 minutes. His answer was "i don't know. " Finally, he looked at my dishwasher and looked completely lost as to what was wrong with it . I told him that the motor is making a noise, so why are you looking under my sink? Shouldn't you look at the motor? When I asked him what is wrong with it? He had no clue what was going on. Again "I don't know". On the work order invoice, his diagnostic for all three appliances was " not working". No shit Sherlock I could've told you that.!! This was a complete waste of my time ! Nothing got fixed, and I lost a days wages. I called my home insurance company that uses this appliance company and canceled with them immediately because I lost all faith in the people they send out to homes . The business owner claims they sent a diagnostic to the insurance company. Whatever they send to the insurance company, they should've wrote on my copy under diagnostic problem. The technician only wrote "not working ". Now i'm suspicious what they actually sent to the insurance company , since they would not give me a copy or even tell me what's wrong . Honestly, it sounds like a scam so they can get paid for no service performed and I don't want any part of it from the Insurance Company nor this Fosters Appliance Company. I also called Foster appliance because I wanted to talk to the owner so he's fully aware of the technicians that go out to people's homes . I wanted to give owner benefit of the doubt, After all, this is his business and I thought he should know. I was told through dispatch operator the owner is Vladimir. And sadly , he refuses customer calls according to some front desk female with a rude under tone. He really doesn't care about customers , because they get paid through American Home Shield, so customer satisfaction is not their concern. According to the business response below, they claimed a manager called me to resolve. If they mean the salty toned secretary , she didn't resolve anything . She just told me owner doesn't have time for customers and doesn't take calls. That's not a manager and it is shitty customer service in my book. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: There is another Yelp account where they were originally located at LA Cresenta . Apparently, they moved to this location in Montrose. There you will see all the NEGATIVE REVIEWS so you will see I'm not exaggerating the subpar service level they provide . How disappointing. Our home warranty company assigned Foster's to service our dishwasher and washing machine. The man they sent assessed the situation and took care of the dishwasher first, replacing parts of the top shelf pull out assembly in a quick 15 minutes. That left the rest of his time to replace drum balancing pads, clean and lubricate the suspension springs, and carefully level the entire machine. These fixes went together to return our drum to perfect balance during the spin cycle. It had been so out of allignment and wobbly during the spin cycle I was afraid we would have to replace the entire machine. Now it spins smooth and quiet, like getting a new machine! He worked on it for over 2 hours until everything ran smooth and even. He was polite but focused and professional. We could not be happier with the results and will insist our home protection company always selects Foster's Appliances for our repair needs. read more
