In the midst of a heatwave, my AC quit working. One company told me they charge $99 for a technician to come out to do an assessment, and do not apply that fee toward any repairs. Next! A couple places had five-star ratings, but closer inspection revealed reams of clearly AI-generated fake reviews. Another company did not return my call. Which turned out to be for the best, because the next call I placed was to Pacific Appliance Repair, who were able to schedule a service appointment for me the following day. A very nice father and son team showed up the next morning (on the earlier side of the appointment window, no less), and were able to diagnose and fix the problem (capacitor and wiring issue) in less than an hour, enabling me to type out this review in cool comfort.
