Perfect place for a snack , meal, dessert , your guilty cheat meal. You don't see that many Fosters Freeze and when you do I personally get the hankering for a shake , ice cream or a banana split . In downtown Danville of all places, this is great place for after game treats. They have a huge versatile menu and everyone in visit here it looks different and there are different new items in the window display also. Two ways to order your food 1. Outside window pickup like a carnival, festival or amusement park. They keep this location clean and presentable which is very appreciated. So many flavors, wide arrange from Red Bull to French fries. You can probably have a different thing here everyday for 2 months. It's in the same parking lot as the Nanking bistro Chinese restaurant and across from 11th tiger Thai thai. I think of FF as a franchise carnival eats fast food. You're not gonna get any thing real healthy here. The expansive menu is way more better than Dairy Queen DQ by far. I ordered the banana split and it was everything I wanted , super delicious. Not every place has a banana split so I order it every time I can. Lots of indulgence here for sure , not a place you frequent a lot but good for a young family and if you need something sweet. I wish they had more locations and a drive thru would be awesome.

Fosters Freeze is known in the old days for their soft serve "ice cream" out of the machine. now, they sell all kinds of milk shakes, burgers & sandwiches. licks: soft serve vanilla ice cream (m.2.99) -didn't look all white, maybe there's some chocolate mixed in. -tasted slighty watery, maybe it's the mix. -it was satisfying though it wasn't what i imagine it would taste like...

My first visit as an adult! I'm taking Mom's word for it that I've been here once as a kid, although I don't remember. Our visit was rather accidental, as the tea shop we wanted to visit turned out to be temp closed. So we walked a couple blocks for a treat here instead. For years, I've watched tweens and teens ride their bikes to and from Fosters, and now I understand why. During COVID, order at the right window and pick up at the window to the left. The staff member assisting us was wearing a mask. We got a small oreo twister to share between two and it was the perfect sized treat with a good cookie to soft serve ratio. This is a cute date spot or somewhere to take the kids/meet up with friends for an after school ice cream. If you're expecting anything else, you'll be disappointed. Will be back to try more twisters!

"Ooooh, I feel good. I feel hungry!" So said our family friend when we went out to eat. Granted, in California's experiment in tyranny and mental illness in 2020, there were no places to sit down inside to eat in the Bay Area. But if you wanted to do takeout, your choices were slightly expanded, and they included Fosters Freeze. Fosters in Danville is like Nate n Al's in Beverly Hills: a comfortable old place serving old fashioned American food in an upscale neighborhood. It's out of place, think "American Graffiti" in the middle of "Home Alone." Which is fine by me, I never got into upscale dining. I do get into good food with good company, and you're more likely to relax with each other at a place like Fosters Freeze. Fosters majors on its ice cream and milkshakes, but it also has lots of burgers. And we were like the three bears (plus one): Papa Bear (moi) had the double decker, Mama Bear (our friend) had the normal cheeseburger, and Baby Bear (the girl) had the junior cheeseburger. The Hunny had to be different and had hers on Texas Toast. We all found our burgers to be good. I've had better, usually in non-chain restaurants. Patties are cooked medium well, and the cheese and bacon added together give it a hearty taste. Double Decker is a half-pounder. It's a little better than In-n-Out, which puts it at a cut above, not as good as Nation's. I didn't have the fries, but was told that the fries are also good. I think they usually have outdoor seating, but everything was different in 2020, so do not go inside, do not sit outside, do not pass GO, do not collect $200. I was able to breathe (read: no mask), and no one gave me grief about that. We drove to Hap Magee Park and ate there. I haven't been by Fosters during a school lunch time. San Ramon Valley High is nearby, and I would not be surprised if a lot of them walk here for lunch. If that turns you off, then be warned. If you prefer delectable edibles complete with Napa Valley vintage, you can find it in downtown Danville. If you just want a down-and-dirty burger, surprise, Fosters is here for you.

I'm so happy I got my Foster's Freeze fix! I grew up in San Ramon and we used to go to the Foster's Freeze that was in Dublin back in the 90s (where Casa Orozco is now). I live in San Diego now and the closest Foster's Freeze to me is about a 25 minute drive. I had forgotten all about this one here in Danville until my sister reminded me about it. I forgot I had been to this location once before about 11 years ago! My brother-in-law and I stopped here this evening to get some dessert. I thought I'd try out the S'mores Twister. It was alright but I regret not getting a Butterfinger Twister or the Worms N' Dirt one instead. I love how Foster's Freeze has all the old signs and posters. It's nice to have things look the same after all these years. In addition to desserts they also offer burgers, hot dogs and even fish & chips on their menu. I want to grab lunch here soon!

This Fosters Freeze is one of my favorite places to come and get a burger or some ice cream and take a load off. Admittedly they're a little old fashioned and can take a little bit longer to get your food ready, but it's well worth the wait. This Fosters Freeze has been here forever in down town Danville and it really is a staple of the community. The staff are really friendly and they always do their best to get you what you want. It's seems to be a favorite spot for a lot of the local classic car guys, so there's usually some beautiful car parked out front. This is also a really popular place with all the local kids and teens to come and get their sweet treats, so it really is a good mix of all the local crowd. I can't imagine Danville without this Fosters Freeze, so if you're in the area I would highly recommend giving them a try. Try the dipped cone! It's great!

I am vegetarian and have eaten at many vegetarian restaurants over the years. I would confidently say that Blossom and Root is the best vegetarian restaurant in the Bay Area and it may be my favorite restaurant hands down. Food: Key to a great restaurant is consistency. The food and dishes are consistently great at Blossom and Root over many visits. I have tried the Smash burger, yellow curry, Mediterranean bowl, french toast, pancakes, chilaquiles, breakfast burrito and several other dishes. Yellow curry is my hands down favorite but honestly no dish has ever disappointed. Every dish is always very freshly prepared. You can tell. They have a kids menu as well. Kids will also love the "experience" of the Butterfly bubbles drink! Just try it! Ambiance: Cute restaurant with a modern craftsmen kitchen feel. It feels like you are eating at the home of a friend with a nice house. Casual vibe that is kid friendly. Service: Servers and staff are always very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it can get slow for attention when they get busy.

It was about 1/4 cup quinoa and millet and more tangerine oranges than grains. Look at the difference of portion sizes from our experience vs Yelp photos. I felt this was inadequate and asked for more grains. I got a 1/2 cup of extra quinoa (only). Tofu scramble and pancakes (adult and kid versions) were good. The server tried to insinuate that the adult pancakes weren't enough, but they were more than enough. We also ordered one orange juice for a child (paper cup with a copper straw jammed through the opening) and hot tea. Honest review, it was overpriced and moderately good. I would not return; quality and value for 3 adults and 1 child was not worth $100+ including tip. Hope they consider my feedback to improve; this place has great potential.

On Labor Day 2025, I was having coffee with George at the Starbucks next door when he suggested grabbing a burger here. We walked in at around 5:45pm and it wasn't too busy. The interior looked pretty much the same as before. 80s pop music was playing in the background. George got the Double Burger combo with garlic feta fries while I opted for the Cali Burger Combo with curly fries. The staffer who helped us was friendly and helpful. I noticed he was wearing a 'Back to the Future' hat and we both agreed that a rumored potential reboot of the franchise would be a terrible idea. Our food came out pretty quickly. The Cali Burger was very good. The burger was very juicy, and I loved that sourdough bread was used. The curly fries were good as well. I'm glad that Fat Maddie's is still around. Good burger joints are getting harder to find. I will definitely return. 4 solid stars.

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right.
