Been here 4 times recently. 3 were great. This visit was bad. The staff was still great but the burgers were not up to standard. My marky should have had an over easy egg but was over cooked. The jalapeños were uncooked and the meat was not medium rare. My wife is more picky and asked for a new burger cooked medium rare. Came back still over cooked. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and seated. Since this was one of the stops for the firefighter's Stuff the Boot Charity, the house was packed and lively! Our server was quick and knowledgeable with the menu items, including our need for a non-celiac gluten-free option. Food was colorful and delicious. The owner walked around and spoke to everyone. Norm's has changed owners and things are not the same. I have dropped from 5 to 3 Stars. The food is no longer great just Ok. The wings (4 stars) are still good, but the pretzels with beers cheese sauce (3 Stars) is ok due to the beer cheese sauce has changed. The pretzel by itself is still really good. The SF Patty Melt Burger (3.5) Jack style was good but not the same as before. I guess SF indicates sourdough instead of rye bread, but they use Texas toast. Maybe it's should be call TX melt. I ordered a side of tomatoe bisque (2 Stars), they completely changed. I didn't think these guys are real chefs anymore. Just line cooks throwing out stuff. Norms has been our family go to place for many years. After yesterday that may change. We put our name in for a table for 8 and waited while having some drinks. The wait was supposed to be an hour. There were several open tables and they refused to push 2 of them together for us to sit and order dinner. They said they were reserved but they were unused the whole time we waited. We stayed there for 2 hours and never got a table plus the manager was rude when we asked again before we left. Norms is under new ownership and it shows. Too bad! read more

Went for new years and the owner came up and snatched my phone because I was on FaceTime with friends saying happy new years. I got a message for my review above. A person name Gary claimed that we broke a table and were rude to the manager. Which is 100% not true. If I could post the video of this incident I would. Simply pulled out my phone and answered a FaceTime and my phone was taken and said he was owner and said to leave. I did not want to leave without my phone and eventually left right after. It pains me to leave a negative review for this place. We have frequented Norm's since it has opened. Today I ordered a drink that was not made correctly, which can happen anywhere. What makes me sad is what happened once I sent it back. It was still incorrect, I took it back to the bar and told the bartender I did not mean to be mean, but it was missing something. The manager came to me and said, "What's wrong with it now?" Like I was in the wrong. The manager! I have grown up in a restaurant family. I would NEVER speak to a customer that way. Drinks are expensive. Even if you live in "Danville". Share When you spend $30 for two drinks I would hope people are willing to work with you not chastise you. I feel like crying. So my first visit to my friends favorite place was pretty disappointing. I ordered fish and chips my friend ordered the nachos. Apparently they changed their size of nachos now half the size, same price. The steak was burnt. My fish was good but half the fries were less than the size of my thumbnail. Our other meal was the French Dip...tasteless no seasoning at all and dry. Server couldn't have cared less about our pleasure or displeasure; in fact, he almost seemed upset that we'd come to the establishment and interrupted the stare at his phone. The food was mediocre. Fries were disappointing in size, texture and taste. Leftover from mealtime before or leftovers from another customer's plate? Fish was slimy and tasteless. We haven't been back since before the pandemic and not sure why not?? We had a wonderful lunch today while watching the soccer match. Customer service was good and the food was excellent. The pretzel appetizer was a winner and my Imperial chicken salad was delicious. I'm returning soon just for that salad. My husband's Baja 1000 salad was a winner too. Came here for dinner last night and was pleasantly surprised! My brother loves this place but somehow I have never gone before. It was a rainy and the wait was 40 mins to an hour so we snagged a table at the bar luckily! We ordered the pickle chips as an app and for entrees got the spicy chicken wrap, blackened ahi tacos, philly cheesesteak sandwich, and the Nashville burger. Everything was delicious, but my aunt really was looking forward to the chicken pot pie that she had 1 week prior but they sold out sadly. They only make 12 a day so go early if you want one! All the food was really delicious and I especially loved the spicy chicken wrap. The wrap is made of a thicker, more pizza dough like texture which is tasty and in my opinion better than a normal tortilla. I liked the spicy sauce in the ahi tacos in combination with the mango salsa. Overall I really enjoyed my experience, but the service was quite slow. I will cut them some slack given it was rainy and super busy so will return and try again! read more

I would give service a 4 stars but food 3 stars. Plenty of outdoor seatings. You can order food on your phone by scanning the QR code on your table and pay your own order. So this is pretty good when you dine in with friends. Instead of splitting the bill, you can pay it on your phone. However, there is a time limit. So pay earlier than later. One of our phones didn't work so we ended up paying one bill with the waitress. The service was great. She came to our table several times to check on us. Food was alright. Not anything spectacular. I asked for the Ahi Taco but it's no longer on the menu. I saw it on one of the Yelp reviews and that taco looked good. We had burger, steak salad, clam chowder.
