Best watermelon salad on the summer menu! Service, food, and menu rotation all are impeccable.

I have eaten at Blossom and Root Kitchen 15+ times at this point for brunch and dinner so my review is long overdue. I am vegetarian and have eaten at many vegetarian restaurants over the years. I would confidently say that Blossom and Root is the best vegetarian restaurant in the Bay Area and it may be my favorite restaurant hands down. Food: Key to a great restaurant is consistency. The food and dishes are consistently great at Blossom and Root over many visits. I have tried the Smash burger, yellow curry, Mediterranean bowl, french toast, pancakes, chilaquiles, breakfast burrito and several other dishes. Yellow curry is my hands down favorite but honestly no dish has ever disappointed. Every dish is always very freshly prepared. You can tell. They have a kids menu as well. Kids will also love the "experience" of the Butterfly bubbles drink! Just try it! Ambiance: Cute restaurant with a modern craftsmen kitchen feel. It feels like you are eating at the home of a friend with a nice house. Casual vibe that is kid friendly. Service: Servers and staff are always very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it can get slow for attention when they get busy.

Good service, and I really liked how they decorated, especially the different wallpapers. Food was pretty good, and I loved having so many vegetarian options. I enjoyed the mushroom steak salad but ended up wishing I had ordered the french toast. Desert was a bit disappointing due to being liquidy and not that flavorful.

Thoughtfully crafted vegan food. They have full range of options in drinks, coffees, breakfast items and entres. Nice cozy setting with indoor and outdoor seating. The place is well kept. The staff were very extremely friendly and helped us choose. Food was a bit on the milder side but it was well put together overall. Slightly pricey if you order all accompaniments for a given main course item.

Chilled Beet & Avocado Bowl is perfectly balanced and filling. Get it! Pistachio Bread is so satisfying. Not overly sweet and lots of cozy spice. Wonderful service too. Even during peak rushes, you're kindly tended too.

It's really hard to find vegan options or dairy free options at a restaurant these days. Almost every place is mostly fried food despite cuisine. This place was a breath of fresh air. It is beautiful inside and has a gorgeous patio with views of the cute downtown area. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and didn't rush us out. I ordered the pasta alfredo which was very creamy and my friend had the "steak" salad which she loved. There is a large food menu and drink menu including mocktails and crafted drinks. This is a great place for all occasions and did I mention they also have dessert?!

What a cute place! We decided to bring our vegan daughter for her birthday and we all really enjoyed it! It was Sunday at noon and they were very busy, so the service was spotty and a bit on the slow side, however, the manager or owner (not sure what title the woman had) came over and acknowledged how slow it was which we appreciated. It did take at least a half hour before we got our coffees and they got it wrong on one of them so I would suggest going on a less busy time. However, we all enjoyed our food very much! My husband had the Chilaquiles and I had the Huevos Rancheros and both were so yummy! Our daughter and her husband had the tofu scramble and French toast which they enjoyed a lot. I'm not sure how much I would enjoy the French toast though as it appeared with no syrup but rather the toast was partially soaked in some sort of syrup type thing and no extra syrup was given. He enjoyed it though but I didn't ask for a blow by blow description of it, so my opinion is purely based on how it looked. For dessert, they brought out the most delicious huge chocolate chip cookie with a candle for our daughter's birthday and we all shared it. It was sooooo good! Two of us had chai espresso martinis that were very tasty! We did order sangria but had to return it which I try to never do unless I really dislike something. Neither of us liked the sangria. It was extremely bitter and not balanced at all. We will definitely be coming back though! My husband is not vegan and usually doesn't like these types of restaurants but he loved the chilaquiles so much he wants to come back and that says a lot!ho

We stopped by Blossom and Root on our recent visit to Northern California and it's the kind of restaurant that I could go to at least 3 times a week and still enjoy it. The fully vegan menu is very well crafted with highly nutritious and delicious options including greens and all sorts of proteins (beans, chickpeas, tofu) without fake meats and cheeses. Portions are perfect for sharing (tapas style) so you get to enjoy more than just one item. The service was super friendly and the restaurant is clean and beautifully and cozy decorated. Because it was winter we didn't enjoy the terrace but that is likely a great treat in the summer.

We love a good vegan cafe!!! My partner and I had some downtime during the day, decided to try Blossom and Root while in downtown Danville for a casual weekday brunch. Vibrantly decorated inside and out. Feels very inviting yet eclectic and fun. Upon entering, we were welcomed warmly and felt right at home. POWER PARFAIT: Dressed-up overnight oats/chia pudding ^_^ Extra refreshing topped with fruit & lemon zest. TBH this is a meal all in itself, super hearty. BREAKFAST BURRITO: H E F T Y. So delicious and incredibly filling. I couldn't believe the egg was actually plant-based...! Tasted fresh & flavorful. Paired with a couple coffees (amazing house-made syrups!!!), this was the perfect brunch. Already itching to come back :3

First timer. Long wait to get an order in and not too many people in the restaurant. I would not recommend ordering the Chilled Beet and Avocado "Bowl." It was about 1/4 cup quinoa and millet and more tangerine oranges than grains. Look at the difference of portion sizes from our experience vs Yelp photos. I felt this was inadequate and asked for more grains. I got a 1/2 cup of extra quinoa (only). Tofu scramble and pancakes (adult and kid versions) were good. The server tried to insinuate that the adult pancakes weren't enough, but they were more than enough. We also ordered one orange juice for a child (paper cup with a copper straw jammed through the opening) and hot tea. Honest review, it was overpriced and moderately good. I would not return; quality and value for 3 adults and 1 child was not worth $100+ including tip. Hope they consider my feedback to improve; this place has great potential.

Fantastic cozy place with great food options for vegans and vegetarians. Have nothing but good things to say about this place, a regular for sure

Street parking Indoor and Outdoor seating The decor is cute-- like cottage chic? I don't know how to describe it. Is it all vegan? Could've fooled me. Some components were really impressive dupes of the non-vegan kind, i.e. the blue cheese. The person that sat me also served me and she kept it super casual, taking a seat at the table while taking my order. Other diners were all extremely jolly helping make the atmosphere of sitting in this restaurant kind of whimsical. It was my first visit and I would return and recommend it to others. If you like crab cakes, give theirs a try. It's made of mushrooms and I couldn't tell. I was impressed.

The moment I touched the iPad to join the waitlist, a waitress asked how many people in our party to which my BFF and I responded, "two" and we were whisked away and seated promptly! Fantastic! During our meal, several waiters checked in on us and made sure we had ordered or if we wanted anything else! Detailed and friendly service. The second time I visited we got on the waitlist half an hour before arriving and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. The only thing is since there is a long waitlist on Sundays, long conversations aren't very possible without various staff frequently intervening to ask if you want boxes to go... even if you're still chewing. I do understand it's to keep groups cycling through so that everyone can enjoy a meal here. F O O D My friend wanted to try various appetizers so she ordered the Korean fried chicken, crispy brussel sprouts, and earl grey croffle. I ordered the sweet maple omelette. The Korean fried chicken was great, with its wonderful crunch and flavorful hint of spice. The brussel sprouts were indeed delicately crispy as described and tasty; I couldn't stop eating them! I also thoroughly enjoyed their namesake omelette; it was a big portion too. What stole the show was the earl grey croffle!! A light crunchy yet soft croissant waffle with burrata(!!) blueberries marinated in Earl grey(!!) & basil extra virgin olive oil and their housemade blueberry marmalade was such a strange combination to imagine but a beautiful taste experience. I would have never considered adding burrata cheese with basil evoo and earl grey blueberries to a croffle but I am grateful to the skilled chef who did at this restaurant! I can't wait to come back just for this very delicious appetizer/dessert. D R I N K S My BFF ordered a coffee and I ordered the hot coconut cream latte. The coconut cream latte was dreamy and sweet. I have also tried the iced Ube latte on another visit and it was good but not as good as the coconut cream latte. It needed a touch of something else to balance the sweetness of the Ube, not sure what really. I am intrigued by the floral tonic espresso so I'll try that on my next visit! A M B I A N C E The decor and open dining area with its glass windows make the area feel airy and inviting. It's a very aesthetic vibe inside. There is chatter and laughter but nothing excessive, except the second time when we were seated by a table with unruly children, though that is no fault of the establishment, just the parents. This for sure a great place for a brunch with the girlies or a date post farmers market. Just make sure to get on the waitlist via Yelp to plan your visit ahead of time! This place is always busy, as it should be!! P A R K I N G Parking was slightly difficult to find since the farmers market was also going on at this time when we visited on a Sunday late morning but we were able to find paid street parking within 5 minutes. I would recommend planning for some extra time to find parking if you're coming on a Sunday (due to the farmers market). The second time I went on a Sunday around 11 am it took me 10 minutes to find parking and I got lucky since it was someone leaving the farmers market. Also please note that the farmers market closes the streets that Google Maps will try to take you through to get here.
