The deviled eggs were good, though not as sweet as I prefer. The beet salad was great, and the shrimp were flavorful. We also ordered the clam chowder, which got mixed reviews at our table, but I really enjoyed it. The chicken sliders were good too, unexpectedly filling, while the chicken wings were unfortunately too salty to eat. Don't skip the green beans, they were delicious! We also had three different deserts and none of them disappointed (I do wish the lemon meringue had a regular pie or shortbread crusts). For drinks, my friend had a nonalcoholic cocktail that was delicious. A couple of us tried the guava cider--it wasn't my favorite, but it was light and refreshing on a hot day. A quaint dining experience located in downtown Danville. A small but spacious establishment with outside seating, with a bar and seating around the bar. The World Cup was playing while I dined. I made reservations for 6:45 and we were seated a little early. The place was packed and loud. There were a small group that was overly boisterous which made for an unsettling dining experience but fortunately that left mid way through our dining experience. The food was amazing we had the lamb and chicken sliders and both were so delicious, adding the aioli to this lamb slider made it even better. The brown butter chocolate chip cookies with sea salt so good!!! These were the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Popped in on a Tuesday night for a date night since the reviews were good. They've got a nice location in downtown Danville and the atmosphere is hip/upscale with regular dining tables and a bar area as well. We started off with orange honey glazed pork belly. That dish was nice- pork was tender with the sweet/sour of the glaze. For our mains we got the Rustichella D'Abruzzo Orecchiette and the paella (Tuesday special). The orecchiette was pretty good- nice sized prawns and tasty sausage but we were disappointed with the paella. Seemed more like a seafood risotto and pretty spicy. The best happy hour!!! The Wagyu sliders are my favorite!!! I wish they had it on the regular menu! It's a pretty decently sized slider. Has some crunchy onions and blue cheese in it. Does anyone have the Amex Platinum? That's how I found out about this place! With the card, you get $100 Resy credits per quarter and this restaurant is on the Resy site! My fiancé and I came here for New Year Eve lunch and the place was packed! I didn't know how to change the reservation on Resy but we were put at an outside table. If you remember, it was pouring rain on NYE and we asked if we could sit inside. They shuffled some things around and found us a cozy corner spot which we were so thankful for. Staff is very friendly and kind! The place is super modern inside and has a nice ambiance. We ordered the appetizer wings, a coke, a Hugo spritz, and a wagyu burger with bacon & upgraded the side to truffle fries for us to split. The bill and tip came out to $100 so the whole bill was covered by the card benefit (yay!). I accidentally forgot to take a picture of the burger because I was so hungry lol but the wings were really good and not too spicy. We were seated across from the bar with a tv so I could watch the tail end of 3rd quarter and 4th of the warriors winning the game. We started with mussels, a light sauce with bread to dip and it had a few pieces of sausages. Light and tasty! Next I had the shrimp and grits. I didn't realize the grits are pretty filling. The shrimp was perfectly cooked with mushrooms and small pieces of ham. I did try a bite of the pork chop and the Brussel sprouts but not the wagu burger or short ribs. The dessert, I had the warm brownie with ice cream and caramel. The toffee cake was ok and I did not trying to the pudding. I would go back and try a few more items. I was brought in by the pictures of the homemade biscuit sliders and made sure to order them when we were seated in their outside patio. The service was prompt and helpful, and I was able to order the fried chicken sliders (plain) with the aioli on the side and substitute of fries. It was incredibly delicious. Their fried chicken was crispy and seasoned well enough to stand on it's own and the fresh biscuits were mouthwatering! I used the aioli as a dip with the fries and really really enjoyed my meal. After a wonderful meal, what was brought to our table was a small, empty plate with a single candle placed in the middle. That was it. It felt thoughtless, cheap, and honestly a bit belittling. For such a meaningful milestone, the gesture came across as an afterthought rather than a celebration. Instead of making a scene in the restaurant, I decided to write this review to warn anyone planning to celebrate a special occasion here. If you're hoping to feel acknowledged and celebrated, you may leave disappointed. This review is not about the food or the ambience. Both were great. It's about how a restaurant makes its guests feel. We can all cook a nice meal at home and open a bottle of wine to celebrate.
