I learned a lesson- go with your first choice - I've been trying to practice that - I find when I do t do that- I wish I got what I wanted first . I got the herb crusted halibut - good - yet I was wanting more - the short rib bites were that- short . I was wanting more - and my guest got the Superfood salad with chicken- that's a huge win- it was so good - my first choice was the braised short ribs- mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I like the place. It's an old house converted and it has rustic charm. Outside seating is cozy with a fire and warmers - it was a little too chilly last Sunday for us- we were out all day and inside was nice .. it was a slow and cozy Sunday- it started to pick up when we were finishing up- unlike it here and we will be back. Had not been here for a long long time, so decided to take my friends there for lunch. Had made reservations and they had set up a nice table inside. However, it was a lovely day on Wednesday,so requested outdoor seating. They were not too busy and happily organized a table for 10 outside. We ordered drinks, appetizers, mains and shared beignets for dessert. Our server Carla was kind and efficient. She patiently met the multiple (sometimes unreasonable!) requests of the guests. It was a warm Saturday afternoon, I found street parking across the street with plenty of other parking. We were meeting some family with a total of 13 of us. They were not super busy and I made reservations for us in advance. I had the short rib hash and split it as I wasn't that hungry. The hash was so tasty and delicious. I would come back just for the hash. The hush puppies were good but I would try other things on the menu. I didn't get to try the berries and croissant but it looked good. Came here for brunch and loved the cute aesthetic--it feels like you're in a farmhouse-inspired barn. The food was wonderful. I had the fruit salad, which was both delicious and gorgeous (it's now my profile picture!). Everything was delicious here at Danville Harvest! I went for a baby shower and they placed us in a room in the back. It was pretty private since they closed it off with a curtain. Our waitress was kind and very helpful! I ordered the breakfast sandwich! We also ordered the banana cake, mini donuts, and fruit. The mini donuts were nice and warm. They also came with two dipping sauces. For dessert, my aunt ordered a bunch of different things, chocolate chip cookies, a peach cobbler, passion fruit pana cotta and a couple of ice creams. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the fried chicken was juicy, the French toast and waffles were spot-on, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. Every single dish was top-tier. Also the lady helping our table was so nice and polite! We made a reservation about a week in advance and had no issue getting a spot. Terribly inconsistent. We've been here many tjmes. On one visit the service and food are great, and on other visits it's like the wheels have come off. On the last visit, no wheels. Took over 20 minutes to get 2 of the 4 drinks: we finally had to ask if it had been forgotten. The wine bottle had clearly been open too long. At $28 for a carafe, that's totally unacceptable. The manhattan did not seem to have the selected Carpano Antica vermouth: very odd. Unsure what they made. Burger, at like $26, was not even good. The place was very quiet so they were not overwhelmed. Wheels were off. Revel and other places were packed. Harvest is in a perfect spot with great decor. They need to work on the food and service. read more

Drinks are crafted and well balanced and their "bites" are a perfect snack for one or to be ordered for the table. Sorry to say this because Nicolas was very sweet, but the service was honestly terrible. There were only about 4 people on the patio, yet we never received utensils, our water was never refilled, and there was absolutely no sense of urgency the entire time. We waited around 40 minutes for our mimosas, and we ordered the bottle service version... so it was confusing why it took so long to simply bring out a bottle of champagne and juice. I eventually got up and refilled my own water from the patio station. That said, the hash was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Great food, but the service really needs improvement. read more

Honestly I should give 3 stars but we were in a group of 10 and all our food came out at the same time so I'm bumping it up. Assume it will be better if I came with a small table of 2 or 4. The coffee was not hot. My drink, the Hi-tide was yummy. The burrata toast with honey also yum. The country breakfast - I asked for my eggs to be done more cooked than over medium (hate runny whites) but it came not even medium well. I ate it anyway. The toast - English muffin - looked delicious but it was totally cold. I was going to just eat that too but someone else at the table had the same problem so they offered to re-make both of ours and when the new muffins came back, it was yum. 2/10/24 Zach, Coco and I were in the area and decided to try out Danville Harvest for lunch. We were in the area to pick up our wedding cake samples from the local Danville Bakery. We parked about a block away from the restaurant. We were able to be seated for outdoor dining in a few minutes. There's an overhead heater and fire lamps so it was very toasty and cozy during our meal. Our waiter was super friendly and also got Coco a water bowl. The menu is fairly short. We both decided to get the short rib hash. The food took 10 minutes to come out. The dishes smelled great. The eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up, the beef and veggies were tender. There's a little of a spicy kick to it but I liked it. Unfortunately, the portion size is small, so we ended up ordering the chicken salad sandwich. I'm not a fan of chicken salad in general... I tried a couple bites (grapes in a sandwich just doesn't make sense) and didn't enjoy it so Zach ended up eating most of it. Overall, the menu has a healthy vibe and the service is great. If I come back, I'll probably skip that chicken salad sandwich haha. read more

RUN don't walk to Danville Harvest!!! We had exceptional service from Mari and I wish I had taken a picture of our two brunch items, but they looked so good that we had to dig right in! The huevos rancheros was outstanding - the eggs were cooked perfectly, the tomatillo salsa tasted homemade and authentic, and it had the perfect combination of savory, creamy, crunchy, umami, and seasoning. 10 out of 10! My daughter got the Country breakfast plate and enjoyed it immensely. Her eggs were also done perfectly over easy. The English muffins were fluffy, and the hashbrowns were crispy and so tasty! We sat outside on their cozy patio with the fire pit keeping us and our food warm! Can't WAIT to come back!!!!! read more

While looking for a brunch spot for my birthday, i decided on Danville Harvest because the pictures on Yelp looked great! Came here on a Sunday and we were seated outside in the patio area. When i looked at the menu, it didn't have the items i really wanted to try. While disappointed we still stay and gave it a try. Prices for each item aren't cheap. And when our dishes came out, the portions are quite small. Chorizo Tostada was around $20 and you only get 2 small ones. i got the spicy chicken sandwich. and because it came with an egg, there was a $2 additional charge. In the menu it did say $2 will be applied for one egg. You can also add fries to the plate for additional charge. The chicken itself dry. the best part was probably the brioche bun. each of my kids got their cheeseburger with fries (kids menu) and the burger was quite small. the patty was dry as well. overall i really want to like this cute restaurant, but at the same time none of the food really stood out. We visited Danville Harvest for the first time because it was highly recommended as a solid dinner spot in town. Danville Harvest offers a seasonal menu, but there are some consistent offerings on the menu such as the salads and grain bowls. The ambiance is romantic in the evening and it is dimly lit in the main dining area. I'm not a spirits person, but they do have an impressive high end spirits list offering rare and hard to find options. For dinner, we started with the cheese board. I could've had a meal on their small bites alone and look forward to trying them on a future visit. We had steak frites and a seasonal menu item, gnocchi with lamb bolognese. The best part was the jumbo chocolate chip cookie which was sprinkled with sea salt. The staff was friendly and we look forward to adding Danville Harvest into our normal dinner rotation. read more

In town for work with no idea what's good. We end up here and as soon as I get out of the uber I see that there are outside seats! One of my favorite things to do in the summer. The service was fantastic. We never had to wait very long for anything. Also at one point I'd been thinking about ordering the tuna and our server offered it to us for free because they had accidentally made it for another table. After conversation with our server we tried quite a few things. The deviled eggs and the shortrib were my favorites. Like 10/10. The summer Ravioli was absolutely insanely good. That's probably what I'd come back here for if I lived around the corner. I really loved eating outside in the summer under tree cover. Went to Danville Harvest for the first time for a girls brunch with my 4 friends. We had reservations when they opened on a Saturday morning so we got in without issues. Our waiter was also working the Bar area and he clearly was overwhelmed with tables he was servicing and making drinks at the bar. He came and took our orders but never came to check on our food. Other people delivered our food. He didn't refill waters nor coffees. Customer service was terrible and this was a huge disappointment. Two stars because the food was good. read more
