Starting this off by saying usually this location is a great experience when we go. This time the was a little rocky. Our server was top notch. Waiting for our food, we heard the booth behind us yell and ask for a manager. When we looked around to see the source of commotion, the gentleman behind us pointed out there was a cockroach on the wooden partition beside our table. We moved away from the wall and partition until the manager came. By the time he got there it was by our table, the manager asked me to move so he could see and kill it. He then proceeded to go to the table that pointed out the roach and apologized profusely. He comped their meals, offered dessert, and even two double shots of Jack Daniels...and then walked off. I didn't really care about the comps, but a quick, "hey, sorry that happened" would have been nice to our table, since I had to move to let him observe and kill the roach. We finished up sitting away from the wall area in case the roaches friends wanted to come out and play too. Hopefully it's not a more widespread issue. read more

My wife was hungry and there was a convenient location in La Plata. As soon we enter, the staff was so kind and attentive. My wife ordered the herb chicken. I went with the BBQ chicken. We both had salads and sweet potatoes for our sides. The wife ordered a mocktail. Heineken 0.0 for me. The food was good for the price. We both really enjoyed the bread. Our chicken were tender. The BBQ sauce was different but I enjoyed it. Their BBQ sauce does not taste as strong as other offerings. I like the sauce because it was different. It was a nice mild taste. Our server Jade was amazing. Great personality and keep up with a jammed pack restaurant. Now for the food... both side salads were old browning lettuce. The sides of sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes lacked flavor. The ribs were dry. The steak was ok. How can you go wrong with this place, they do steak and they do it well. I had the ribeye which is always my preferred cut , it's marbled with fat which gives the surrounding meat a perfect level of tenderness. I can't ever have enough of mushrooms and onions , so the fact that my steak was completely entombed in onions and mushroom sent me to my happy place . For a place that markets itself as family-friendly and big on hospitality, this experience fell far short. This wasn't just a random dinner -- it was my toddler's birthday. We chose this restaurant expecting a welcoming atmosphere and a memorable experience for our family. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, inconvenienced, and honestly embarrassed after building up the excitement for him. Busy is understandable. So, we decided to dine here on this past Sunday and omg, how disappointing my porthouse steak was dry !!!! I am not sure why this place is always so busy. We recently got a reservation and were made to wait an additional 30 minutes (why get a reservation?). I went here for a family dinner (other parts of my family like this place--I have never liked it). It is always subpar food and high prices. The atmosphere is EXTREMLY noisy, to the point that I could barely hear people sitting NEXT to me. There is always constant screaming (which is "nice" to some--but obnoxious to me). The food is nothing to really write home about. It is generic tasting and not very flavorful. I only go here when other members of my family ask to go. During my visit, I ordered a 20-ounce bone-in steak. When the meal was brought to the table, there was immediate confusion, as another server repeatedly indicated that a 14-ounce ribeye was mine. I did not respond initially because that was not the item I ordered. My assigned server, Kami, then came to the table and acknowledged that she had entered the order incorrectly. She advised that the 14-ounce ribeye was intended for me and admitted the error was hers. Because I was dining with a large party and did not want to delay the table or create additional inconvenience, I elected to keep the 14-ounce ribeye rather than send it back and wait for the correct entrée. I made that decision in good faith and with the expectation that the billing would accurately reflect what I actually received. When the check arrived, I discovered that I had been charged for the 20-ounce steak I never received. At that point, I raised the issue with staff expecting a straightforward correction. Instead, service manager Chance became involved and turned what should have been a simple billing adjustment into an unnecessary and deeply unprofessional dispute. I explained the circumstances clearly, including the fact that Kami had already admitted she entered the order incorrectly and that I had received a 14-ounce ribeye rather than the 20-ounce steak reflected on the bill. Rather than resolve the issue, Chance repeatedly asserted that "at some point a 20-ounce steak hit the table." That assertion was false. More concerning, even after the server attempted to clarify that the mistake was hers and that I did not receive the 20-ounce steak, Chance continued to argue the point, disregard both the facts and his employee's admission, and effectively accuse me of being dishonest. He also suggested that perhaps I had received the 20-ounce steak and simply did not realize it. That statement was not only dismissive, but insulting. I know the difference between a 14-ounce ribeye and a 20-ounce steak, and I certainly know the difference between what I ordered, what I received, and what I was charged for. What should have been a routine customer-service recovery became a needless confrontation in which I was spoken to disrespectfully, treated as though I was being deceptive, and left to defend myself over an error your own server acknowledged. That is wholly unacceptable. I also left with concerns about whether bias may have influenced the manner in which I was treated, which makes the incident even more troubling. As we were leaving, Kami stated that she did not understand why Chance handled the matter the way he did and indicated that he had made the situation worse. In my view, that observation was accurate. The original mistake was manageable. The manager's conduct is what turned it into a serious customer-relations failure. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed at the corporate level. I have patronized Texas Roadhouse frequently, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Based on how this matter was handled, I do not intend to return to that location, and I will be sharing my experience with others. I would appreciate a prompt and substantive response. read more

We went when they opened. We were seated immediately and were served rolls and drinks. The server was great, full of life, happy and efficient. The food came and everything looked great. I got the fried chicken breast, seemed ok. When we got home I started getting heartburn. I took acid reducers, no help. Took antacids still no help. Getting really sick now. Finally my daughter said take baking soda and water. I did and I got relief. For two hours I was in excruciating pain. I guess it was the spices in the chicken breading. I stopped by with my husband and kids last week for a nice family dinner after a long drive last. We were sat immediately by a young lady named Pierce or Paris, I can't quite recall, who helped my husband get a steak from the meat case and chit chatted with us. We snacked on the blooming onion and both kids got steak bites cooked nicely, would recommend. The ambiance was delightful and we got to see a loud a birthday chant. Too many times have I ordered rare steak only to get served medium well or well done. The cooks and managers at this location either don't understand the multiple ways steaks are served and cooked (even though their menu explains it), they do not care, or both. if you send more than one steak back, they delay serving you longer. This review is coming after many trips to this location and more than 95% of the time have no issues with food and have great service. Not every trip is going to be perfect but this is by far one of the more consistent locations we have been to. We live between two and would rather pay a toll to come back to Va than go to the one in VA due to issues we always have at that location. Tonight was very busy but our food came out quickly, fresh, well cooked and our server was super attentive. Manager also walked around to ask how things were going. The first time we visited this place the food was on point, the service was stellar, the steaks were cooked just the way we liked them (bloody). We asked our server if it was always cooked this way and her honest reply was it all depends on the cooks The cooks on the weekend are always stellar, while during the week it is hit or miss. The prices are fairly high but for the quality cut of steaks they offer, not too terribly bad, if you have a good cook the night you go. The yeast bread rolls and cinnamon butter are to die for. A meal in themselves. We've been there at least 6 times and more often than not, the food was really good, the steaks were cooked just right but the last couple of times the steaks were overcooked (asked for rare, was served medium) and pretty bland (not enough salt and pepper). If I need to use steak sauce, don't expect me to come back very often. read more

The manager at the Laplata location is very rude and have no customer service knowledge. I purchased a meal at the restaurant. The meal was not cooked according to what I requested. The meal cost 40 dollars for the T-bone meal. I requested a refund or a credit for the meal. The manager whose name is Justin he said refused to do either. He was so rude that I asked for his last name which he refused. I also asked for the corporate number which he also refused. This is not how customers should be treated after spending 40 dollars for one meal If you go to this restaurant check your food thoroughly. I ate their yesterday and had ordered the country fried chicken, and I get it. I was a little bit adventurous by ordering that but the fact that the gravy was flavorless and don't get me started with the mac & cheese. It was just boiled noodle and a scoop of cheese sauce slapped on top, wasn't mixed or had any seasoning. The fact that mac & cheese was even allowed to leave the kitchen like that and the fact that our server didn't even say anything. I truly enjoy Texas Roadhouse it's an awesome family restaurant. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the service is pretty fast. I had the catfish, green beans and corn. The catfish was fried to perfection and the veggies were cooked and seasoned well. My daughter had the baked potato, corn and bbq chicken breast she said that it was really good and that she didn't expect the chicken to be so tender and delicious. Do you know the 2 special things found in every Texas Roadhouse? A Willie's corner and a mural of an older distinguished Native American figure. Willie's corner has photographs of Willie Nelson and memorabilia like his bandana. The founder of Texas Roadhouse, Walter Kent Taylor, was friends with Willie Nelson after they met at a Farm Aid event. Willie Nelson is part-owner of one Texas Roadhouse in South Austin, Texas.    The mural honors Native American culture. It is also a symbol of good luck to the business. The first Texas Roadhouse restaurant had a mural of an older Native American. The next 3 restaurants did not. Those 3 went out of business, so all of the following restaurants had a version of the mural.    My wife and I have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions. We have tried their Combo Appetizer, rolls, chili, salads, BBQ ribs, sirloin steak, prime rib, Fort Worth ribeye, and red sangria. The Combo Appetizer gives you 3 choices from a list. The list can be found in my photo of the menu. You get 2 choices of dipping sauces. The sauce choices were their salad dressings, sour cream, and BBQ sauce. We picked the Buffalo wings, fried pickles, tater skins, ranch dressing, and honey mustard dressing. The Buffalo wings were moist and tender. The coating was thin and crunchy but not hard. We chose to have it tossed in hot sauce, and it was moderately hot. The wings had a good fried flavor with a buttery Tabasco sauce coating. Overall, this had a very good traditional flavor.    The fried pickles had a thin crispy coating with black pepper. It had a good balance of flavors from salt, dill, and vinegar in the pickles combined with black pepper and oil in the coating. We enjoyed the taste. The only problem was that some pickles were soggy because the coating was too thin, so the moisture from the pickles soaked through.    The Tater skins were slices of baked potatoes with the skin still on. They were topped with melted cheddar cheese and bacon bits. The toppings added great flavor to the potatoes. The potatoes were well baked, and the skins were a little chewy. This was satisfying and filling.    Their complimentary rolls and honey cinnamon butter were delicious. The rolls were sweet and had butter brushed on top. They are freshly baked daily. The honey cinnamon butter was whipped and soft. The honey and cinnamon flavors were noticeable without overpowering the butter flavor. The rolls and butter were outstanding.    The Texas Red chili was mildly spicy hot with a savory flavor from the beef. The taste of chili powder and cumin was present, countered by a mild taste of brown sugar and slightly acidic tomato. The beans were well cooked. There were cheddar cheese and red onions on top. This chili was excellent.    We got a Caesar salad and a house salad. The Caesar salad had hearts of romaine, fresh parmesan cheese, and made-from-scratch croutons with a zesty Caesar dressing. The house salad had mixed greens, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, eggs, and croutons. The salads were crisp and fresh. Nothing unusual, just good.    The ribs were moist and fall off the bone tender. The pork and barbecue sauce had a flavor that was rich, spicy, savory, and slightly sweet. Get this if you don't want steak.    FYI, all steaks come with 2 sides. The list of sides can be found in my photo of the menu.    We got the 8 oz sirloin steaks. It's the 2nd cheapest steak. The 6 oz sirloin is the cheapest. The 6 oz is their most popular steak. We found it to be somewhat tender and slightly dry. It had some savoriness. This is a low-budget steak that was so-so.      The prime rib was extremely tender, savory, and succulent. The only downside is the amount of fat on each steak. Every prime rib that I have gotten had big pieces of fat on it. The steak tastes so good that I don't mind.    The Fort Worth ribeye comes in 12, 14, or 16 oz sizes. The ribeye was moist, tender, and juicy. This is an excellent steak. We got a sweet potato as a side dish. It came buttered with cinnamon brown sugar on the side. Mixing a small amount of cinnamon brown sugar into the sweet potato made it interesting and enjoyable. Adding too much made it taste too sweet.    The red sangria tasted like watered-down red wine with some lime juice, triple sec, and grenadine. It didn't taste like any sangria we've ever had. It was missing fresh fruit flavor.    The dining room and restrooms were clean. The service has been friendly, polite, and responsive. This is a great restaurant for steaks and ribs. They also have other meats. We haven't tried them because the steaks are so good. They have great food, good service, and a friendly atmosphere at affordable prices. What's not to like? read more

What I didn't like is the busboy or server or whoever he was, who continuously stood behind my seat, no more than 2 feet over my shoulder!
