This store I used to respect until I entrusted them with a damaged shotgun, carrying bag (with shells stored in the bag) to work with the manufacturer regarding the warranty. After a year of calls, personal visits, and Facebook messaging.....I still cannot get an answer or even a return call from them!! I don't even know if they even have my property any longer. First firearm buyer and I could not be any happier with my purchase. This is a veteran-owned establishment, which is a huge bonus as a veteran myself. Needless to say, I was confident about Derek's (The owner) service and knowledge of firearms and the legalities that came with purchasing, using, and owning one. DO NOT GO HERE! I have dealt with founding fathers after it traded hands to the now current owner, Will. To be fair it was never run well but Will was a fairly nice guy and some of the staff were cool to deal with. After 2 FFL transfers from him I realized you have to continuously call him once your order is delivered. Aggravating but I can understand if they were overwhelmed. I wasn't happy how much he raised his prices on firearms during covid, completely trying to capitalize off of the covid scare. I never bought a firearm from them just transfers. My third or fourth transfer was December 2021. Firearm was delivered on the 27th and knew I wouldn't get it after the new year, I didn't know it would be 4 months later. Called them every week, no answer. Apparently they were getting audited by the ATF, but the kicker is they can do transfers still. I finally got my firearm in April 2022 after literally waiting outside their store for an hour, because I was told the wrong time to show up. Unprofessional and I now hear alot of talk Will is using other FFL licensees to take care of the transfers and pocketing the transfer fees. Sketchy! read more

Honestly I'm not the type of person to write reviews but my experience at this shop has been nothing but superb. During the pandemic like many people , gun ownership became not only a reality but a priority. When you first walk into a gun shop it can be nerve racking because you don't know what to expect. From the moment I walked through their front door , they have been nothing but informative, accommodating , and hospitable. There is no such thing as a dumb question. I walked in a year ago knowing very little about guns, a year later I'm on a first name basis and have purchased and sold 4 firearms through them. I have referred a few friends and they all had the same experience . Will and Patty are the kindest, thoughtful , and expert people I have ever met in a gun shop.
