Like this place a lot. I've been there several times and am always happy with the taste. I'm not a coffee person so I've only tried the food. Everything is gluten free and most of it is dairy free too. My only complaint is that the food is super expensive. One muffin is $4. I absolutely love Fount Coffee. This coffee house/kitchen was opened by two local couples who did an absolutely wonderful job combining the urban lifestyle vibe while bringing the outdoor in. With the modern white and light wood interior and huge glass garage doors (which they open on nice days and it is a treat)- I absolutely love to come and grab coffee with my girlfriends or just a quick bite! All their coffees and drinks are great; and their food is no less (I tried their açaí bowl, their avocado toast, and their popcorn). Their popcorn was something I have never had before (so good and I am not a popcorn fan)- it was drizzled with honey and served hot! The wifi is super fast and there are outlets all around. Parking is easy with many spots right outside the door. My favorite part is the wooden benches that line the left wall once you enter- it is such a great spot to get work done! Wow! It's so great when you walk into a new swanky joint and they have everything sweet and delicious AND it's all gluten free! GF is always a disappointment but NOT TODAY! Honestly my favorite place to be outside of my own home. I have never had more incredible coffee, they have the only lattes I will drink, and THE SAIGON TEA, it's sad I can't consume all three every time I go, it's a hard choice to make. I do chose to drive almost 20 minutes here as often as I am able to and don't even bother going anywhere else because it would be a sad disappointment. I have not had a stack or smoothie bowl I didn't like but the morning scramble and goat cheese and Pear are my top picks. The paradise bowl is whole 30 compliant and is my favorite. EVERY SINGLE bakery treat is amazing , the carrot cake cup cake is my current favorite but the coffee cake and pumpkin donut are hard to pass up. I'm sure no one is still with me but I can't leave with out talking about the quality of service and love and friendship from all who work there, my spirits are always lifted before I leave from smiles, conversations and care. My children are always welcomed and we do our best to not dirty their impeccably clean environment. This place is fantastic, the food is completely fresh and what I appreciate is the care that they put into making their delectable dishes. As an example, they could have simply given me my roasted root salad with grilled chicken, dumped the salad dressing on top and called it a day, but they took the time to mix my salad with the perfect combination and amount of ingredients. There was consideration and attention that was paid to my food and myself for that matter. Aside from this, the coffee was really, really good. What's interesting is that many coffee shops in the Triangle use Counter Culture beans, so you would think there would not be that much of a difference between coffee shops, but there is. In the case of Fount, the espresso in my cortado was excellent (I fully respect the magic of a barista that can apply the right tamp to pull the perfect shot) and the balance with milk was spot on. So all in, the coffee, food, and customer service at Fount are excellent and I will definitely be back. read more

After a week of going to a bunch of highly-rated cafes in the area, I am glad to have found this gem. They have a modern aesthetic (not really my style) and GREAT coffee for those who like light roast pour overs (def my style). The coffee is served at the perfect temperature (above body temperature and well below boiling) so you can taste the coffee flavors as they develop. My Wife and I drove up to attend a Duke basketball game and stayed at a hotel in Cary. We went out for breakfast the morning of the game and were planning on attending First Watch for breakfast but then saw Founts and like their menu and write-up. Located right on the main road, it's a corner building with a glass garage door on the side and a bright, clean and modern design. The young owner Shawn and his wife just opened a few weeks prior. They and their team are friendly and knowledgeable about their various coffee options and food menu. We both had the egg scramble on toast; delicious and nicely prepared, mine with avocado slices on top. Catering to a younger crowd, Founts has that hip, techie gathering place feel which fits right in with RDU. Our only suggestions we gave Shawn was to try and make the coffee hotter.....and provide smaller spoons for stirring! ;-) We highly recommend Founts and we will be back! Go Duke! read more

WOW. I have visited Fount Coffee + Kitchen quite a few times now, and my experience there has gotten better and better upon each trip. Every time I come in, I am greeted by friendly and excited staff. So far I have tried the popcorn, a honey almond milk latte (definitely recommend), and the drip coffee. All delicious! Sadly, the bread used in my "stack", a small open faced scrambled egg dish, was essentially tasteless with no texture and sliced about 1/3" thick. Whenever I frequent a new establishment I look to their bathrooms to assess their cleanliness and care for an atmosphere. Fount Coffee had impeccably clean bathroom. They even use a diffuser to ensure a pleasant aroma whilst attending to nature's call. I almost took a star off of this review due to the tacky colored lights of said diffuser. However, they made up for the lighting misstep by providing deliscious and refreshing mints. Truly the bow-topper to my experience here.
