Wow! I had no idea Tropical Smoothie Cafe had a food menu. I am happy to have another go-to spot for a quick bite. When we arrived, there were five forsets of patrons waiting on food. While we contemplated leaving and began to decide on our options, the food and smoothies began to come out quickly. We ordered and didn't have to wait long for our smoothies and food. I enjoyed a Sunrise Sunset Smoothie and a Chipotle Chicken Club Flatbread sandwich. Both hit the spot before I got on the road to heard home. I don't know where my review went but here it is again. We ordered 2 chia banana boost smoothies. We found a large amount of plastic chunks all through out the drink. When we called the location. They knew exactly what we were talking about and they said sorry the nipple from the peanut butter must have fallen in. How do you not realize you lost something, or better yet they said F it and figured the blender would do the job. When I asked for a refund they said I had to contact home office. The first time my açaí bowl was so frozen I had to wait hours to eat it when i originally planned to eat it during my lunch break. Yesterday, I asked the cashier--who was very polite--about the discount I've previously received as a school employee from the nearby school. She kindly checked with the manager, who returned and addressed the situation in front of other customers in a way that felt abrupt and dismissive. I was told, "I'll call," followed shortly by, "Oh, I'm not going to give it to you." What stood out most was not just the refusal itself, but the tone and public manner in which it was delivered. It was uncomfortable, especially since other staff who've seen me before confirmed that I had received the discount in the past. Came in the restaurant and spoke to the girl standing at the counter TWICE. First time my wife and I both thought she just didn't hear us, so we both spoke again, still nothing. She proceeds to do what eve she's doing on the computer and then starts loudly conversing with the person in the back preparing orders. She went back to the kitchen and came back..still nothing hello or even eye contact. We're still standing there when she just casually stops what she's doing to just stand there blankly. Absolutely loved this place! as a new resident of North Carolina I decided to try this place as I was in dire need of a smoothie. I saw the sign that said there was new smoothie and new flatbread and I decided to give it a shot! I had the green goddess flatbread with chicken and oh my gosh I finished that so fast it was delicious the smoothie was to die for! I will definitely come back again tomorrow and get another. And generally, the service is not as courteous as the other in Brier Creek. I'd like to come to this one more but the smell is most definitely the biggest detractor! It's crazy cause they obviously clean the place. Every time I'm here they are mopping. And they generally do a good job with cleaning the tables too. But for some reason it's as if ventilation is horrible and contributes to the smell. read more

I had been looking for an opportunity to try this place and finally was in the area and remembered I had bookmarked this awhile back. This place is definitely hopping especially around lunch time but the staff handled the rush well. I ordered the Thai chicken salad bowl and a smoothie. Unfortunately, the Salad did not wow me. You only get a small dollop of the chicken and the rest is shredded lettuce that is used on the wraps. After a few bites I was left with a bowl full of straw like iceberg and ended up dumping it. Definitely not worth it and would not get a salad there. The smoothies are much better and quite fresh and huge! Ordered a few weeks back through THEIR APP, tried calling the location, & it's an automatic hold repeating the same message over and over a few weeks ago. I was on hold 27 minutes trying to locate where the order was after being an hour late for delivery. I finally hung up the phone and 30 minutes later someone from door Dash contacted me and asked "did anyone ever bring your order?" I explained to them 'no' and when I tried calling the store no one answered... it's two hours later & my food was supposed to be here in 35 minutes, so door dash sent someone to go have it remade and deliver it. Today I ordered door Dash again from here & the delivery girl rings the doorbell, hands me the wrap, and I asked her, where is the smoothie? She stated the store told her there was nothing else besides the wrap in the bag. I looked at the receipt stapled to the bag she handed me, took it off the bag & showed her I paid for the a smoothie as well, and she stated, "yes I see it, that's why this wrap was $20, but I don't know what to do?!" I again called this location and all you get is an automated greeting asking you to hold and it plays over and over and over after 15 minutes I hung up the phone. I have no idea if the girl is coming back with a smoothie , but two times in a row has been an epic fail. They will not answer the phone at that location and have dropped the ball two times. I would not recommend this location again. I would not like to have a negative review for a business but if they would answer a phone to even know there's an issue that would at least be very beneficial to a consumer but after two fails in a row, this review is merited. Today I went in to grab a bite with my sister and received mediocre service from the staff and waited an extremely long time for my food. Although the finished product was delicious it would be great for the weekend staff to smile every once in awhile and make paying customers feel welcomed.
