I was really hesitant about whether I should write a review because this salon was so accommodating when I asked for them to fix my nails, but I don't think I'd ever go back and here's why. When I went, they took a long time to do my nails and the nails were chunky. I went back and they spent a long time fixing them and tried to argue that the powder didn't last well or had to be thick because my nails were so short. I've gotten powder done of my short nails many times in the past at the salon across the street and the service was quick and there was never an issue. In the end, they did a good job fixing my nails, but it took hours of my time. She drilled too much and had to redo powder entirely on one nail. I think there are better options for a dip powder gel in the area. The lady doing my nails kept trying to make it seem like I needed to get gel-x or a different service because powder gel wouldn't work for my short nails. I wonder if they were really trained well on how to use powder gel and if this is why I had such a weird experience. My nails were literally irritated by the end and after a week, I took these right off. read more

I tried this place in search of a new nail spot yet again. It's a no frills spot but it's quiet and the staff was very nice. They did a wonderful job and they still give you the quick back rub at the dryer. It's a much appreciated gesture that some places just don't do anymore. The only cons were that they don't have a lot of color choice for a regular mani/pedi; I know, those are rare to get these days. I'm also not a fan of the fact that they were doing my manicure while getting my pedicure, I feel like I can't truly relax during my pedi. Overall a pretty good experience read more

Great Place. Sunny and Jessie are fantastic. I have been going here since they opened. The place is clean and they are extremely accommodating. Their manicures and pedicures are always done beautifully. They are the only place that actually listens when I ask to have my eyebrows done a certain way. I've being come to Fountain nails since I moved to Merrick 4 years ago. I tried a couple other places, but this one is the best. Sunny and her team are always so kind, and make everyone feel at home. They always let walk-ins like me know if they're too busy to get to you right away, instead of making you wait. The quality of work is great, I usually get a gel manicure and regular pedicure and am always happy with the results. I have been going to see Sunny at Fountain Nails for six years. During Covid I stopped doing my nails for about six months and I started with a new Salon after I moved to Farmingdale. I had a very bad experience where my nails were cracking, falling off and breaking. I went back to Sunny and I have been going to her since. I have to tell you, not only is she pleasant and patient, but keeps to her appointments and NEVER keeps you waiting. I have never had gel manicures or pedicures as I do in this place. My nails never crack, they never break and I have to say Sunny is the best. I have lived in three different towns and continue to go back to Merrick to have my nails done because they do such a fabulous job. I was referred to this nail salon by my coworker. We both went last week wednesday. Shes a regular i am not. I got a spa pedicure and pink gel manicure. Bill came out to $92.00 but you have to pay nearly $5.00 more to use your credit card unless you bring cash. I didn't know this until i went to pay. I was told i could go to the bank of america atm which is within walking distance but i just got my feet done so i opted to pay the 5.00 fee. Anyway like i said i went last week wednesday. By monday my gel is already lifting and chipped. The polish on My two big toes is already messed up and by today which is friday the gel already came off my nail. Never going back. Two stars because they took me quickly. Pedicure is mediocre and nails are not so good. Plus make sure you bring cash or you will be charged more. read more

I just moved in the area, i decided since this place is not far from my house i wanted to try. My nails were done on Friday and cracked right after. i had to go to work and decided to go by on Sunday since i had the time too. I walked in and showed the crack, the owner said to come back she is busy, now she didn't look busy! i was good the day i walked in and she wanted my money, but i walk in to fix something so small and was told to come back another time. I was always looking for a new nail place local to me. Tried all over merrick, and finally tried this location. Been going since the summer and i loveee it here. All the girls here take the time to get to know what you like and give the best service possible. Which is such a relief after being rushed to end up with subpar results at other salons. This has been my usual spot for about a year now. The staff is so friendly and caring. When I do take my four year old they're super understanding and try their best to keep her entertained and that to me is great customer service. Was looking for a new place to get a gel manicure after the place I was going raised their prices. Tried a bunch of places in the bellmore/Merrick area and none of them I really enjoyed. I checked yelp and saw they had 5 stars so decided to drive the extra 10 min from bellmore and get a gel manicure. Place was clean, everyone was nice, soooooo many color options. Gave 4 stars because I've never been to a place that doesn't give a back massage at the end and was a little disappointed. I'll be back though! read more

Very clean and friendly staff. Pedicure is $17 which is a great price but the service was mediocre...my heals were still rough. I go for many pedicures and the skin on my heals aren't bad at all considering I was actually at this nail salon less than 2 weeks ago and got the spa pedicure .... I'm so disappointed. I went to get a gel powder manicure and pedicure. I went in on a Thursday and they did a wonderful job shaping them. By the following Sunday I chipped a nail. I went back on Monday and they fixed it for free, fine. It's one week and one day after my appointment and I chipped another nail. Gel powder nails are meant to last up to 3 weeks. Also 5 nails have cracks in them. This is just unacceptable. I will not be returning. read more

One of the cleanest nail salons I have been to. The first time I came in, two workers were free and Sunny gave me a pedicure while Jamie a manicure. It was very convenient and i was out in 20 minutes tops. The second time, I felt bad and came in an hour before they closed for a manicure and pedicure, and even though they had other clients they still found to take care of me in a timely fashion. Sunny, Cora, and Jamie are very hard workers. My go to nail place from now on, I won't have to travel far or get attitudes from other establishments again! read more
