Great place to meet friends for some drinks and lite fare after work. I've only been in the bar, not the restaurant part. Pros: I've tried the pizza and some of the apps, everything was better quality than I expected. Pizza was quite good, thin crust and tasty. They have a limited but decent selection of beers. Mixed drinks are pretty strong. Cons: Parking lot is tiny and a nightmare to navigate in and get out of. read more

Staff was not friendly, but I mostly found it odd that the wait staff hangs out in the same area as the diners, playing on their phones and generally hanging out, like it's a break room....they seriously need to find an out-of view area for the wait staff to hang out. When I left Danvers, (some 45 years ago), the Four 66 Pub and Grille was called Rico's. I don't know when it changed, but it has come a long, long way since then. The food is excellent and comes out quick and hot, the service is stellar, and the people are friendly. I can't say enough about the staff, they are all courteous and polite and always address you by your name (once they learn it). I gave the place 5 stars, because there is no way to give them 10. Stopped after work to meet a friend for drinks and apps. Sports pub atmosphere with pub food, but good pub food. Decent beer selection, but wish they had more craft brews. About 8 total on tap. Noisy bar, but friendly locals for the most part. Wait staff was good, but sometimes was hard to get their attention when things were busy. Tried the onion rings, beef spring rolls and wings. All were good. Onion rings were not too greasy. wings were tasty and a little crunchy, just right. They offer different wing flavorings as well. read more

Restaurant way too loud for conversation. Wait staff very attentive. I did not like the fried clams but maybe I would not like them at any place. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was sour tasting. This was a terrible experience. My fiancé and I came in for a quick dinner. We noticed on the sign outside that Monday is 2 dinners for $19.99. We asked a female bartender if it was the same as a regular meal with a meat, potato and vegetable. She said yes, we each pick the meal (from a pre-selected choice of meals) and they are regular sized portions with 2 sides. A male bartender seemed to be taking over our servicing. I ordered a Mango Martini and was brought something that tastes like grapefruit. I ordered backed haddock and asked for the breadcrumbs to be freshly made with just butter and no seasoning (I have an uncommon allergy that prevents me from eating seasonings) and my fiancé ordered steak tips we were both asked what side we would like and we said baked potato and whatever the vegetable was. The bartender told us we only get one side with our meals...ok whatever, not what we were originally told. He brought our meals and my fiancé was given about 3 steak tips the size of a golf ball each and I was given a piece of haddock with nothing on it at all. I asked why it was plain and he told me it was because I asked for it that way. I RE-explained what I asked for and he simply said "oh we can't do that" and walked away....well ok then. He never came to check on us and I had to ask for a dessert menu, nothing was offered to us. We were still hungry from the lack of food on our plates. The dessert menu was so dirty and sticky, I couldn't even look at it. We payed our bill that was sitting in front of us and left. Needless to say, we were very unimpressed and probably won't be back. Don't order the Cuban sandwich. Nothing Cuban about it. I asked the server if the sandwich is pressed, she says its squished. It came out barely toasted. Not impressed, limit your menu to improve your product quality. Didnt see one smile in the joint. :( read more

Was there the other day and sat in the pub. Was less than excited about the baked haddock luncheon special. Haddock was one of my favorite meals but I was disappointed. After looking at the haddock it look more like cod then Haddock I was less than impressed with the breadcrumbs which were ground up to dust. Lastly it did not taste like it was fresh more like it was frozen or had been sitting around for a while. The fries were great but overall it was disappointing. I will try them again at a later date to see if I got them on an off day. read more

Parking can be sometimes an issue, but thats because this place is usually very busy! Good bar food, good people, quality is decent. Steak is excellent, chicken broccoli & ziti is good. It's a small place. half pub and half dining area. Our waitress was hustling, friendly, and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meals including the kids' sliders and pasta. We all picked at the fries and thought they were great. The chicken parm lunch entree was delicious and plenty of food. This is my go to casual pizza place. The pizza is crisp and thin, and service is friendly.

I was in Topsfield for a meeting and stopped by for an early lunch. One other table seated nearby. I noticed little dishes of covered butter pats, but my waiter never brought bread to the table, after placing my order had to ask him for bread. I ordered the grilled tips lunch.. turkey tips and lamb tips, the food was brought over on a small oval dish, the ones used for an order of fries, I had to ask for a larger dish as the food was falling off the plate, 4 small tips and fries. After I ate one of the tips..I noticed that I was served chicken breast chunks and then noticed the lamb was actually a steak tip. I told the waiter..he was immediately defensive noting that I had already eaten most of the lunch (?). It was embarrassing and I just asked for the check to get out of there quickly. Really do you think your customers dont know the difference between chicken and turkey and beef and lamb? It's too bad as the food was pretty good, but the service and the person that made the order.. ruined my day. I won't visit there again. read more

I recommend the pizza. The pizza here is excellent. After the pizza, I recommend meat dishes cooked on the grill. These are pretty good. What I would avoid is anything fried. The batter they use produces a hard crust, and they tend to slightly over cook so the crust gets even harder. Their fry oil has an odd after taste. This is a popular spot and is usually full or nearly so. Expect it to be very noisy, lots of background noise. If someone in your party has hearing problems, or you like a quiet dinning experience, go elsewhere. If you like to watch the game in a pub, eat great pizza, drink beer, this maybe your place to go. read more

Nice place for sure. It reminds me of The Park Lunch in Newburyport, MA. Locals frequent the place, meet each other, watch the games there, and seem to enjoy themselves. You want quiet, intimacy? Not here. The restaurant section can be closed off from the bar which is a good thing when the "Big Game" is on the TV and the home-boys are there. The food is delicious pub grub. They have a nice menu selection for both lunch and dinner. The hamburgers are worth every dime. They have a large selection of add-ons. In summary: a very nice place for an informal lunch or dinner, but yes, the parking leaves you praying that you survive entering and exiting and, if you are handicapped - good luck, they don't seem interested in your patronage. read more

Very good food, by the staff isn't that great. The bartenders are always either ignoring people or yapping with 1 person. The wait staff always seem pretty grumpy. And in the bar area, if there are more than two conversations going on you can't hear yourself think. read more

I've been going to for 66 for at least 15 years and the place is always solid excellent portions you will never leave on an empty stomach. Terrible, waitstaff was bad I almost drank the ketchup I was so thirsty waiting for a refill on my water. The chicken fingers looked like shaken bake and the meatball was more like sloppy joe than a meatball. Finally it was so cold in the restaurant we ate with our coats on and when I complained the response was we have it set at 70, really my nose was colded. Will never go again.
