Every time I'm in the area I have to come to the Deli on the Corner. I love how fresh their meats and veggies are, you can taste the freshness in all their ingredients. They also have a half salad half sandwich option which I love for the variety! I have tried the turkey and roast beef sandwiches, both of which I would recommend. The kale Caesar is my favorite salad. Aside from the tasty food, the staff is so kind and welcoming. They are always offering me samples when I'm hesitant on ordering something. Great little place with a multitude of fabulous options. We shared the chicken club. They offer options for sauce on the side. The ciabatta was warm and tender and filled with lots of nicely cooked sliced chicken. With it were options for chips or salad. We had a five bean salad based on recommendation. I usually like this place, however i had to go online to voice my last experience here. The lady behind the counter who I've seen many times and i think is the owner or manager seemed to be brother by my presence when i wanted to place an order. As i was waiting for my order which was a pick 2 combo i wanted to purchase a bag of the trail mix. When i went to the counter to purchase it, she totally ignored me as i was not even standing there with this bag of tail mix. Then when i got my order they forgot to put the side of crispy onion and when i asked her, she just grabbed it and placed it on the counter for me to reach. I know, i get it when your stress and understaff and have a million things to do, but that does not give you the right to convey over your frustrations. OMG!! I loved this place. So healthy and very delicious. These are clean and fresh food. Their juices are so good. I've had their juices, the All the greens, the green power juice, and the detoxifier was a lightly on the bitter side, but I still managed to finish it. It's definitely a long process to make these juices. I tried to make these juices at home. It's definitely a lot of work with the juicer. Then these people who serves you, they are super friendly, sweet, and really helps you with any questions. Then on the other side of the room is their counter where you can order prep meals. Today was my first visit, and won't be my last. My co workers have been coming here for a while. What a pleasant experience. The lunch hour was super busy, but the wait wasn't that long. Definitely worth the slight inconvenience. I liked how there is a snack shop/ section inside the deli. They had fresh honey, candies, snack mixes, juices , and baked goods. It reminded me of Hadley's ( on the drive to Palm Springs). The Deli has all fresh ingredients and the serving size is enough for two meals. I had a grilled cheese on sourdough and a summer salad. I want to like this place. They have great menu options. However, their portions leave a lot to be desired. Every time I've ordered from there they are so chintzy with the ingredients. Today for $14.08 I got the Antipasto salad. Basically a bowl of lettuce with very little toppings. The pepperoni and salami looks like 1-2 pieces cut up in to small pieces with very little cheese or other toppings with a big bowl of lettuce. In past orders I've gotten the Caprese sandwich which had one single slice of mozzarella with a whole lot of bread. Their food is good, just lacking an adequate ratio of ingredients. read more

The food is surprisingly fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I went on a Friday during prime lunch time (12:15 pm) and found parking on the street. The lot is a little small, but is constantly varying in occupancy as people rush in to pick up their orders. By the time I got out of my car and walked to the entrance there were two spots. I'm sure if I'd wanted to I could've found parking on the lot. Once I was in, I was a little confused over where the line was since there were some people chatting near the cash register who were talking about what to order. By the time I realized they were playing catch up the line had gotten long, but lucky for me it went by very fast. I ordered to go, but seeing that there were quite a few empty tables I opted to stay and eat in one of the quiet corners. Overall, I think it's a great place to either grab a quick meal, or linger and chat with co-workers. The quality of the food is way beyond the price. This place is THE BEST!!!! They are a smaller business and they truly provide some of the best service I have had!!! They have a great sized menu, i like that the salads can be turned into wraps. They have so many options for tortilla flavors, dressings etc. The menu options are very customizable to your needs and the staff truly puts in a quality effort and care into whatever you order! Admittedly, I have never dined inside the restaurant. I do appreciate their pre-ordering service. It makes lunch rush hour a breeze. It does get incredibly busy inside. Boy, this was a challenge to find. Only because I get lost easily AND the GPS kept re-routing me. Doh! There is decent parking and adjacent parking. It's a bit hidden. Prices are a bit steep and a few mistakes by employees/chef preparing food did cause for delay and defeated pre-ordering. I do enjoy their chicken grilled Caesar salad as well as their soups and panini's. It's not 5 stars roughly 3.0-3.5 They do have a great selection for vegetarians-- I'm not sure why other reviews are indicating limited veggie options? Vegan, I can agree with. It's not in a very popular/populated area. Or located in historic downtown etc to merit costs and being 'busy'. I'm wondering if it's as a result of limited staff? I haven't been here too often. I want to say three visits. Every visit there's a wait for the register. One employee prepping food orders, one taking orders and payment. It can get frustrating. Maybe, management can take time to read these reviews and make necessary changes. It's definitely not worth for me to go out of my way when visiting family and friends in Redlands. The owner of this Deli practiced bad people skills twice in a row !! First time I experienced this was just two weeks ago when I went with my Daughters and she was hovering over her employee checking if everything he had put on our salads was charged ( I really didn't know at the time what was going on ) she asked me to pay more . I was fine with that of course, just wanted to understand Because it was my normal order I'd place when I'd make the 50 min drive to come get a yummy Salad . She was very cold and never smiled while explaining to me the price . So today we came in again ( daughters and I) feeling like we knew how to order correctly and ordered a cob salad . As the young guy was putting our salads together ( he was very nice ) she comes over and starts hovering again and tells in in front of me , my girls and a deli full of customers " you're going to have to pay for what you're putting on that " to her employee. She was telling her employee that he has to pay . She was so demeaning to this kid it was embarrassing. She walked off and I was very bothered by the way she handled her employee in front of my family. It was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I ask to speak to her and expressed my confusion of the price . Stated I had no issue paying for extras and most importantly how upset I was that she spoke to her employee in this manner in front of her customers . She never apologize. She just continued to put down her employees . That just upset me more . It's ok to correct your staff . It's not ok to humiliate them and make your customer's feel uncomfortable. My God it's a family business . That really makes no sense. I did get loud with her . She was out of line and said " she brought these people up from the gutter " idk what she meant exactly by that but the more she spoke the more I didn't want anything to do with feeding her business. I went to the young man and told him I'm sorry for what had happened and my family and I left . I won't lie we love the salads here , but my morals are stronger then my stomach. the "all the greens" juice is amazing and I really give it 5 stars. I rate the overall place a 3 because my sandwich was decent. I ordered the vegetarian with no mayo & no cheese (wanted it vegan basically) but it was so soggy, I was bummed. It was made with guacamole, not avocado (big difference) but in the description it says avocado! Super fresh sandwiches. Everything is made to order. The owners also own a produce company, so you're pretty much guaranteed the freshest ingredients possible. Soups are delicious. Salads are fresh juicy. You really can't say FRESH enough times in one review for this deli. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Two downsides: (1) During lunch, it will be very busy. Everyone from the local businesses come here for lunch. Even though there are lots of seats, 3 seating areas inside plus outside seating area, they all get filled up during lunch hours. So that should tell you how good this place is. So, if possible, go after 1:30 p.m., and the line will be much more manageable. (2) It's on the pricey side. This is one of the healthier options in Redlands for a satiating, quick meal. There are plenty of vegetarian options along with a variety of meats (vegans would have to request some minor adjustments though). The "vegetarian" is massive, loaded with colorful fresh veggies. The space is clean and comfortable and the prices aren't bad for the portions and quality. I'll be happy to return here for a nourishing lunch or early dinner. read more

I usually LOVE this place! I recommend it to everyone. Normally it is 5 stars, but today was a different experience. I only want to mention this so others don't have to go through this. My usual order of a Tuna Melt on squaw, with added veggies after the bake, took 45 minutes with revisions. The first sandwich I got had 3 layers of rye bread. The guy who made it told me "the sandwich is actually perfect, it's just missing the squaw bread". I had to ask for them to only use 2 pieces of squaw, but I have never had to specify that before. With that sandwich & my re-made sandwich, they would individually toast each piece of bread with cheese & parchment paper, & would leave it in the panini press for 10-15 minutes at a time, which ended up burning the cheese on the bread (see attached picture). I finally had spent way too much time waiting as order #67, & orders 69-51 had received their orders & left while I was still waiting. During the confusion of correcting my order, they had not even started on the 3 sandwiches for order #68. At that point I did not want to take more time correcting my sandwich & delaying the lady who was waiting just as long as me. This was a very poor experience. I hope the management can help the staff improve on their organization, efficiency, & communication. read more

Cons: Not a lot of vegetarian options (with little to no interest in making the change to incorporate more) and clothes/hair wreaked of whatever was cooking in there. Brought here by a friend, and was very happy to see a new-ish place for lunch. Was really bummed to see only a few items for vegetarians -- mostly meat. When asking the owner about incorporating maybe an egg salad, I was informed that they had pulled it from their menu, as it was a summertime menu item (a little confused as to why eggs are a seasonal thing...). I'd recommend adding the egg salad to the menu year round. read more

This used to be our favorite "go to" place for delicious salads, sandwiches, smoothies. However, now we will not return. First of all, the staff did not have masks! What? They are making our food and not masked? This is not okay. Next, the staff seem depressed, not friendly and helpful like the prior staff were. And, finally it cost approximately $30.00 for one Caprese sandwich, a small Roasted Beet salad and a small All the Greens drink? It seems a little excessive.
