The store is bright and visible at every corner and quite welcoming. The staff was friendly and warm. My wife found a few items that she had not seen anywhere else in a long time and she picked up a few... At 7:01, an announcement came on saying the store had been closed for one minute and to head to the register. Totally fair. I needed one more thing from produce so I hurried- another announcement at 7:02 said to "stop shopping- we are closed" I grabbed my last item and went up front. By 7:03, I was already being checked out. And yet the reaction from staff was... unbelievable. There were several employees standing at the front just staring at me--clearly irritated, like I'd personally ruined their evening. It was three minutes past closing. Not 30. Not 15. Three. Then it somehow got worse. They were out of bags (understandable), so I asked if I could use the hand basket to carry my items to my car, which was literally parked right in front of the doors to the store. I was told no, "these baskets cant leave the store"--and that I needed to go outside and get a cart instead. So I had to run out, grab a cart, and come back in... while the entire staff stood there watching me. There must have been 6 or 7 employees glaring at me with dirty looks like I had insulted them personally. The older checker was grumpy and rude, but honestly the whole team contributed to making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming. I completely understand wanting to close on time. But if ringing someone up at 7:03 feels like a crisis to your staff, that's a management issue--not a customer problem. Also- why not sell reusable bags if you run out of bags so often? I would have bought one to make it faster for me to exit the store. Seems like a simple solution to avoid the extreme stress your staff is experiencing

I seldom fill my tank here, but I will put a few gallons in if I'm worried I won't make it to Sacto. Is it the most expensive gas station I've ever been to? Not by a long shot! I spent more for gas near Grass Valley just yesterday. The staff there have always been polite and reasonably prompt with their service. They have good samosas -- best in town -- and good fried potatoes. Prices are good. I've called to place a food order over the phone when I have a few casual guests for a quick lunch. The food was hot and ready on time. They were very courteous over the phone and there was no confusion over the order. I'm okay with the place and with the owners/staff.

Shortly after making my purchase, I noticed suspicious activity on my card. Unauthorized charges began appearing almost immediately after I used it at this store. Because of this, I had to contact my bank and file a police report. I also reported the situation to the store, but the entire experience has left me feeling extremely uneasy. I cannot say for certain how my information was compromised, but the timing is very concerning. Please be cautious if you choose to shop here and monitor your accounts closely. I personally will not be returning.

To my knowledge the only store near the area we stayed in, which kind of cool for them. Value: Prices are higher due to being the only game in town. It isn't terrible but you can tell. I don't care as they have literally everything and I like supporting small independent businesses. Overall: This store has a really small town feeling which is endearing.
