There was no strong animal smell which can be the case for some pet clinics. They have a nice clean restrooms for guest and the rooms for your pets to get checked is nice. Service: the front desk gal Nancy was very friendly and prompt. She got me taken care of right away. Catalina helped us get in the room and asked some critical questions for the doc. The vet doc was thorough and was empathetic to me. He understood how I felt and was offered a realistic prognosis about my dog. He sympathized that I was having a hard time hearing the news and offered care plans for my dog. There are different plans he can come up with if your budget does not allow. He can definitely work you with. I felt very comfortable with the staff and I felt like they cared about my feelings and what is happening to my dog.

We placed our complete trust in Dr. Peterson and her incredible team, and they did not disappoint. They saved our Kirby, and we will be forever grateful. They kept us informed every step of the way, giving us peace of mind during one of the most stressful moments we've experienced. This was quite possibly the worst, most disappointing experience I have ever had. We took our long…read morehaired dachshund in because she was consistently pooping blood. We were told there would be a wait, which was expected as it is a first priority based place. What was not expected was to be told either pay $165 to wait for hours in a room and then pay an additional $2000 for bloodwork, X-rays, etc. or to just pay the $2000 up front to "skip the line". No vet looked at her, there was no exam, there was not even an idea of what could be causing this or what they would be testing for. After discussing with my husband, we thought we would try to keep her comfortable at home until our vet opened in the morning. We were home for an hour and then our dog began throwing up blood as well as pooping it. I decided to take her back because I was so worried she was getting dehydrated. Her gums were looking pale at this point and the diarrhea and vomit was constant. I took her back in and paid the $165 for the room. They knew why I was there because I had already come in. They had me wait two hours before anyone came in. At this point, my dog had been having bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit for 8 hours NONSTOP. I had to go to the receptionist and ask for dog pads because my dog was getting blood all over myself and all over their floors. I also went to the receptionist after two hours had past and asked if anyone was coming to see my dog. She seemed surprised no one had yet. She went to the back room to ask and that's when I got really upset. Their walls are thin and I heard every word and someone back there had the audacity to say, "Well if she hadn't left we would have seen her already!" This made me extremely upset. I was already heartbroken that I could do nothing for my dog and feeling helpless and sobbing and to hear that was like a slap in the face. So when the vet tech came into the room I was really upset after he told me that two hours later all they would do is the $2000 blood work. I asked if they could get her fluids, anti nausea, ANYTHING TO MAKE HER COMFORTABLE while we were waiting. He refused and repeated what I heard through the walls. That it was my fault I didn't stay earlier. I was even told that I would have to leave her overnight...the place closed at 7 am and it was already 3:30 am at this point. By the time they did all of this testing and got me results and a treatment plan, I could have taken her into her vet that opened at 7:00 am and that's exactly what I did. And that's when I made the decision that I would rather have my dog of 7 years die in my arms at home then give one cent to these people. I got ahold of her amazing vet and they got her in right away, knew immediately that she had HGE based on her symptoms and giving her a BASIC physical examination, and started treating her immediately. I paid $2,800 for EVERYTHING: bloodwork, xray, medications, treatment, hospitalization for three days, etc. When I was being asked to pay $2000 up front at this place with no ideas of what it could be and refusal to start anything that could possibly make her feel any better. My problem was not the wait. Or the order of priority. My problem is that they will not do anything to help your dog when it is clearly in distress and dying without intervention. Fluids are a BASIC essential to vomiting to help with dehydration. So is an anti nausea. Anything to stop the vomiting or diarrhea and then they could have ran every test in the world. On top of that, I was basically shamed into trying to make the best decision for the dog that I love and consider family. I'm so disturbed by this place and how they so clearly prey on vulnerable people in the Central Valley who have no where else to go in an emergency. I will never go here again and I hope you read the reviews on here and make the same decision.

I would say it takes roughly half an hour, talking over your family pet, as they calmly give your family pet a three step process. Dr Martin was very gentle with our family dog Miles and as we spent our last moments with him, she peacefully sedated him, as well as talked us through their process. Instead of putting your dog and your family through the stresses of a veterinary office definitely give A Peaceful Process a call. You can schedule your appointment online and the will work with your schedule. This isn't the easiest review to make but when it comes to your family pets calm and restful passing, as well as your mindset going through losing wha most would say is a member of your family, this is the way to go about that.

My husband, on his own decline with Alzheimer's, couldn't see and accept that it was time to let our boy go. Dr. Martin, patiently and compassionately, went above and beyond to make both my husband and our sweet Daniel as comfortable as possible with what was about to happen. We were able to give Daniel lots of belly rubs and treats as he peacefully let go in our own home. He was well loved, lived a great life and thanks to Dr. Martin he had a very loving goodbye. From the moment Dr. Martin walked into our lives until that last goodbye as she drove our Daniel away, I knew we were in caring and capable hands. Best decision ever.

While this place isn't cheap--I suspect very few vets are what we'd call "affordable," I've always appreciated how loving all staff are towards any pet we've brought in--whether they were easy to handle or a bit spicy. I appreciate that price estimates are offered on a scale of "low" and "high" estimates-accounting for different contingencies that might change how much any treatment or procedure might cost. I also appreciate that they offer different forms of pet insurance. This is not something I've looked into, but I am considering it. I can't speak to the dog side of things, but I'm grateful to find a place that doesn't return traumatized cats to me. While they will take a pet back without you for a quick vaccination or procedure, they almost always allow you to be present with your pet if you prefer that. As for specific staff, there isn't anyone that we request or would recommend....because everyone that we've worked with has shown this same level of kindness and compassion. During our time with this location, we have lost a few of our fur babies, including one to an aggressive form of cancer. While this broke our hearts, as we consider pets to be family, I am grateful for the staff who made our pet comfortable and gave us the space and time to say goodbye and to be with our pet until they crossed the rainbow bridge. The only negative that I have for this vet is that they are not open on the weekends or evenings, which means that I need to take time off work in order to schedule an appointment for my pets. This has on occasion resulted in a delay in their routine care, especially when work is busy and I can't get away during normal business hours. I understand that keeping the office staffed and opened extended hours is a business decision and has costs that may not justify such a change, but it sure would make this clinic more accessible for their customers.

She was the only pet my girls ever had and also the only pet my wife ever had, so she was extremely special to all of us. We asked her vet what we should do after she passed at home and they said that they could help us take care of the cremation, if that's what we wanted to do. They asked a few questions in terms of private cremation versus communal and we chose the private. We took Allie over to the vet office and handed her over without really knowing what to expect. A couple of weeks later we received a call that her remains were back and that we could pick them up. I was just so pleasantly surprised and how much care was taken and simply the packaging and presentation to us as a surviving family. The beautiful little cedar box with its little gold lock was perfect. The card to our family and Tlthe cremation certificate gave us peace of mind that Allie was treated with care and respect. I went online to see if I could find out more about Oak Hills Memorial Pet Cremation and was so pleased to see the reviews from others who had had similarly positive experiences. If you find yourself in the same situation my family did 3 weeks ago, be sure to ask your vet about cremation options and put Oak Hills at the top of that list of service providers. You'll be glad you did.

It was strange and very uncomfortable and extremely stressful for myself and my dog. I don't think they had good bed side manners, it felt all so rushed. I need my dog to have some sense of safety and he didnt get that from this vet. No consideration for my dogs mental health or mine. He is my everything and to be treated like he is a monster is wrong I read a review on yelp, this lady was banned for a honest yelp review. People are going through things that you dont see and speaking to a customer in a caring manner is important.
