It's easy to keep track of the kids at this pool bc it's not too big, but there's plenty of space for people of all ages to play in the pool. The #1 great thing about Sunset Pool are the lifeguards, who take their jobs seriously and do their jobs well to keep the pool a safe & fun place to spend the summer. They are always scanning the water, practicing drills and keeping up with their CPR certs. Ask anyone who visits Sunset Pool and they'll tell you the same thing. I do think the concessions are too pricey for a small town pool, but that's why we also like to bring our own cooler of snacks and drinks to enjoy during swim breaks.

My visit here was to check out the frisbee golf course and I was pleasantly surprised at a few features. First, there is quite a bit of elevation changes across this course, which make it more fun and challenging than some of the other nearby courses. Second, the views in the park are beautiful, particularly at sunset. Third, the course takes you on a wide variety of different nature and shooting situations. Fourth, you don't really run the danger of throwing your disc into water, holes, or other unrecoverable situations. It was not too busy here when I visited and parking was plentiful. I would gladly visit this park again for some more disc golf in the future.

Phillips Park is quite a large space of green with something going on all year. Has things for both adults and children. There's a golf course and a zoo that are both popular. Big park with a lot going on and plenty of people being active or just sitting around hanging. It's for sure one of the places around here that's popular for when going outdoors. The golf course is where most of the adults go to when it gets warmer. For a public course it's pretty well maintained. This is a full 18 holes and includes a bar and grill to go to after playing. Also in summer it's fun to go to the Family Aquatic Center. This is a water park with a big pool and sprays. It's not a massive one but it's big enough. The best thing here though is the Zoo. It's free. You heard right. It's not a big one, but there's still plenty of animals. Most of these are native ones like birds, farm animals, and reptiles. Good for children. The park is also decorated with lights for holidays. Great big park with a lot to offer anyone. It's located on the south side of the city close to Montgomery. There's lots of things but the best one is the Zoo.

There are a lot of bikers in the pathway to the cave so I highly recommend holding your kids hands and staying to one lane because we almost had an incident. I enjoy that there is a main trail and there are Spurs that create their own small Trail as well. This place has plenty of Scenic views to observe. Please be cautious that there are many bikers along the main trail, I do feel like there are not enough public restrooms so you may have to walk all the way down to the south side of the trail to find a porta potty but thankfully they were brand new and squeaky clean. Plenty of people can be observed kayaking, and just having fun Outdoors. I personally enjoyed coming here and having fun on a fully paved path. Solid recommendation!
