This is our go to spot for our pets. I've been to many veterinarians over the years. Cats (too many cats?), dogs (not enough dogs), hamsters, fish, wild animals I shouldn't own and more. For the cats & dogs, we frequently take them to a vet and I've "been around the block". Dr. Schwarzlose and his team get the two paws up for their work and are heads & tails above most others we've visited. Or are four paws the equivalent of two-thumbs up? I have worked for many Veterinarians over the years, and hands down, Dr. Phillip is the best. Cats or dogs, he is an amazing diagnostician and uses his knowledge/experience first, before running tests. For those of you that miss appointments, when you don't show, it creates an unused appointment slot that could have been used for another patient and it's just rude. Most clinics are now charging a cancellation/no show fee, just like you doctor. Pick up the phone and call if you can't make it or schedule a drop off appointment. read more

Fate brought me (and eventually my family) to Dr Phillip Schwarzlose many years ago. What stands out the most about Dr Phillip and his team at Four Paws Veterinary Hospital is how they genuinely care for the people who step into their office, just as much as they do their "four-pawed" clients. Dr Phillip and his team always listen intently to my concerns and needs. The advice and suggestions Dr Phillip offers are based on true first-hand experiences and competence. As a "people" emergency clinician myself- I'm most impressed with his ability to predict and plan ahead for possible complications and challenges with complex procedures and situations. I've taken a few serious cases to him over the years- most recently I brought one of our cats that injured an eye, causing the eye to quickly become very infected. Once Dr Phillip examined the cat, it was apparent that the eye itself was lacerated and split open, allowing the infection to spread into the eyeball. The amount of knowledge Dr Phillip had on this matter surprised me. Altho our cat had to have his eye removed, his infected eye orbit as well as the sutured face quickly healed and remained infection-free! The cat was back to himself within days! Before meeting Dr Phillip, I had good experiences with several other veterinarians. But, he has been the first and only to absolutely exceed my expectations. Whether your needs are routine or emergent, I give Dr Phillip and his Four Paws Veterinary Hospital team my highest recommendation. read more

If no stars was available to give thats what this would get . This business is all about money if you miss two app god forbid you will be banned . We called to double check about our app still being at 2 confirmed it . A couple min later a different women called saying we missed too many app 2-3 over the last two years !!! and are no longer able to use their service because loss of money . That in itself without a warning shows what type of establishment they are . The dog could be sick ! I can't say enough positive things about everyone at Four Paws. I initially requested an appointment online and was called about scheduling within the hour. I was given a reminder call, a call following my appointment to see how my dog was feeling, and even got a wonderful "welcome" card in the mail. The staff is amazingly thorough, kind, and so very attentive. Dr. Phillip is awesome, too; he answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. Had an appointment for my dogs shots today and I receive a call two hours before my appointment letting me know that they canceled my appointment and I'm no longer allowed to schedule at their vet. This was due to me missing two appointments over the past two years. Not even a warning was given to me, I would've happily paid the missing appointment fee because I realize it's my fault I missed them, but what kind of unprofessional business cancels your shots the day of? Obviously they lack care for animals here because my dog could be in serious danger and they do not care, all they care about is the "money" I've lost them due to not coming into appointments even though I would have paid a fee instead of them "banning" me from the establishment the SAME day I have an appointment for that I've been waiting a week for. Actually ridiculous and super unprofessional. I hope no one misses their appointment with these guys cuz they're money hungry. read more

If I could give no stars I would give no stars. I called in to get heart worm meds for my dogs, and was told that they would need to be brought in since they were off HeartGuard for 6 months according to their records. This was absolutely not the case. When I took all 4 of my dogs in at quite the expense they gave me some puppy packs, and samples. Obviously this wasnt notated in the file, and now in order for them to sell me heartworm preventative for my dogs they say they need to be tested. WHY? Because they don't keep good records, and claim my dogs have been off their HeartGuard. When I argued this point with TRACY over the phone she HUNG UP on me. Way to hold my dogs health hostage to make a buck. Don't take your pets here! read more

I have now taken my dog, Daisy, here for two years now. As a former vet tech, I really appreciate their thoroughness. I never feel like I am rushed and the entire staff is friendly, attentive, and happy to answer any and all questions. I am fortunate that I have only had to visit for Daisy's annual exams, but I would not hesitate to call them if a problem arose. I have taken Daisy to several other vets in the area over the years and have not been nearly as impressed. I would highly recommend them for your pet care needs! read more

He is not a vet that just writes a script and sends you on your way after charging $200. He is very diagnostic and cares for your pet. The previous owner DID NOT die. Our pets have been patients of Dr Phillip's since 2008 and we have followed him from one place to another and are so very happy he will now be practicing in his own office. We moved to this area about 2 years ago and were looking for a vet for our fur baby. The first meeting (last July 2017) convinced me that this was the guy for us, he explains what is going on with your fur baby, how the meds (heart worm and why it is important to be consistent on dates of doses) work. What tests are recommended (blood work) and why. I declined the blood work, which leads me to why I am writing this review. This spring our fur baby started coughing, passing out (blue tongue and gums) lethargic. Took him in to see Dr Phillip and found a new heart murmur and enlarged heart. Dr discussed different options and gave me some meds, which helped some, but when it was time for yearly Dr Phillip LISTENED to what I was saying about his behaviour and suggested "THE BLOOD WORK" again . Yes, it showed some scary things, but with that info Dr, Phillip was able to narrow down the possibilities. One more diagnostic test did it, exactly what Dr thought. Our fur baby is back to his normal self. What can I say, Please get that "blood test", and let this fantastic vet have all the information he needs to keep your fur baby healthy. read more
