As a retired registered veterinary technician, I'm picky. We moved here 4 years ago, and on the drive out, one of my cats had an anal gland rupture. I arrived on a Sunday night, called first thing Monday morning and they got me in. Immediately. I was present when they cleaned it and I appreciated how thorough the doctor was. Price was reasonable too. Fast forward 4 years and guess what- they are still amazing. My heart cat was diagnosed with lymphoma 18 months ago and prior to the diagnosis, they found an internal medicine specialist who came to us, scoped and biopsied him. Again everything done well and professionally. Since then, Dr Martin manages Toby's illnesses (yeah, he's my lemon, but he's a sweet lemon), and if anything comes up, she contacts the IM doctor for input. Staff is amazing. Toby thinks he runs the place (he does). They've had to euthanize two of my cats, again compassionate, caring, and professional. Every doctor there has been great. Apollo Veterinary is a great place to go for your pets needs. I have been taking my pets here for some time now. From my senior cat, sadly no longer with us and now with our younger cats. The staff is amazing. They are very helpful for every pet and the stage of life your pet is at. The staff is very supportive of the needs of the pet and the pet parent(s). They listen, answer questions, and get to know your pets and what you expect for a vet when it comes to your pets needs. The staff makes sure that your pet is their top priority. You feel welcome when you walk into the office for your pets visit. From when you call to set up an appointment or calling about some questions to when your appointment is complete, you know that your pet(s) are in good hands. After doing some research on Apollo Veterinary, it's clear they have a great reputation for quality care. The staff are very friendly and professional, and the clinic itself is extremely clean and well-maintained. They also seem very organized and focused on providing a positive experience for both pets and their owners, which aligns with what many others have said. That said, their pricing does appear to be on the higher side compared to some other options. If convenience and a high-end experience are your top priorities, they may be a great fit. However, if affordability is more important to you, it's definitely worth doing a little research and comparing other local or nearby clinics before deciding. I will never go to Apollo Vet Clinic. We had a dog under our care that could possibly have been bitten by a coral snake. We don't know if it was or not. We called Apollo at 11 am when this happened, they are open until 2pm. They told us they couldn't see her and to take her to an emergency vet clinic. Look this wasn't after hours, and they advertise as urgent care, same day appts, not to mention that this could be life threatening! I am not asking for an annual wellness visit! I'm not asking for a rabies shot. This is an emergency and you can't just see if she is okay. She is favoring a leg and was near a snake! They want me to drive about 1 hour to an emergency clinic with 3.5 stars out of 5 rating instead of seeing the dog because they close at 2pm. I thought vets cared about animals and that is why they became a vet. I don't know, if I was doctor or a vet, I would think I would stay 30 minutes late to look at a dog if I had to. That is just me. I. Have worked extra hours before because I loved my job. I wasn't the one waiting and looking at the clock and dying to clock out. I thought about switching to Apollo personally with my dogs because they are supposedly more affordable than others in the area but I won't after this phone call where they turn away a snake bite candidate 3 hours before they close. Maybe my current vet would have turned me away under similar circumstances but I would hope not. They are not open today at all so I don't know what they would have done. If they had done the same, I would be extremely disappointed in the world we live in. read more

This Vet office is amazing. The staff is awesome,,, The Vets are topnotch You feel welcomed and included in the entire process your pet goes through. One of our cats was shot and they took us in immediatly ( Never been before ), We were allowed to watch them assess him and removing the pellet,, and working on the fractured leg. Have never been to a vet office the inclusive of the owners. The Entire staff was involved and helpful.. I called Apollo moments after my cat had a seizure and was told I could come in immediately despite being a new client. The team was waiting for me as I drove into the parking lot and they held the front door and guided me to their surgery/emergency room. They calmed me and my animal down in the midst of an extremely scary situation. They were very transparent about the cost of emergency services and the cost of services was much less than anticipated. Thank you to the veterinarian and vet technicians for your kindness and hard work. This vet is worth the drive from San Marcos and I will be taking my animals here from now on. read more
