Everyone who works here is so friendly. I have to give a special shout out to Alicia and Freddy and one other gentleman who worked there at the front desk. They were the most personable, helpful, stewarding employees and they deserve to be commended for their extra efforts. I'll never forget your kindness. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is due to the breakfast not really changing up. A note of improvement would to be to provide the serve staff with more options to make for breakfast. But everything was clean, housekeeping was around nearly everyday but 1. Worth your money for sure. I also loved that bottled water was offered. Baked cookies and lemonade were put out daily as well. I stayed here for one night with my husband while visiting Jacksonville for work. Toya at the front desk was super accommodating, and she was able to get us checked in a little early. We greatly appreciated it! We're Bonvoy members and our requests for a high floor and down pillows were also honored, so I'm also super grateful for that. There was a man at the front desk during the evening shift that was also very helpful when we came down later to request a few more towels. I loved the aesthetic of the hotel and the rooms. It either seems like a newer property, or maybe they've recently done a remodel. The hotel is small (just 4 floors) but it has a bar downstairs with beer, wine, and a food menu. The room itself (#409) was clean, didn't have any lingering odors, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The bath and body products also smelled amazing. Did I mention that the bed is super comfortable? The mattress was not too firm and not too soft. It was just right in my opinion. One negative: The shower door did not have a gasket for some reason, so water kept leaking through and we had to use several towels to keep the floor dry. A minor annoyance, but the front desk gave us extra towels when we asked. It's located close to 95, but not so close that you're subject to noise pollution. I'm a very light sleeper and I had a great nights sleep here. This hotel feels perfect for a quick business trip or even a couples trip for a few days. The lobby is nice and the employees are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are standard but clean and well-maintained. We haven't tried the breakfast but there is free coffee or tea in the mornings and evenings. The eating area is t very big but it's appropriate for the size of the hotel (only 4 floors). The location is right behind a Waffle House and a Dunkin' so if you aren't in the mood to do hotel breakfast there are options. We stayed here for a few days to visit family and it did the trick. The pool area is nice and there's plenty of parking. We would stay here again without hesitation. Nothing out of this world but it's comfortable and reasonably priced. read more

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. My cousin was dropping me off at the front door but there were a number of young men hanging out and yelling so he parked and walked me in. I got in extremely late because my flight was delayed on the tarmac in Jacksonville airport for three hours and then we were held for two hours after that by the time I got to the hotel they canceled my reservation I said it's already paid for and I'm here and I was stuck on the airport I had no control over that. The representative rebooked it and then said I had to be out by noon I said you're incorrect because I have a two day stay. He told me to take that up with the manager when she comes in later in the morning. I had to go to all that just to get to my room after being detained at the airport for five hours. I got to the room was able to shower and go to bed and had to talk to the manager in the morning and she told me everything was OK and the evening manager was incorrect. The restaurant had limited hours which is so inconvenient especially when you are still paying fir a stay and they are not cleaning rooms during the stay but will give you fresh towels if you request it. Which is something the night manager failed to tell me. The walls are paper thin so you hear the television and conversations from your neighbors to your left and right and above. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable! I will not be coming back to this location. I'm surprised by the service especially as a Marriott property read more

Upon arrival I was informed the hotel wifi was out of service. Front desk agent asked me if I had a reservation, to which I said yes. After he asked me when did I make the reservation, since he does not have anyone checking in right now. After an awkward silence, front desk asked me for my full name, after giving it over, he continued to inform me that my reservation was not in the system. Shortly after he said he found it and without even checking my ID he gave me a key without a card holder and informed me of my room number. As I was walking away, agent then stated I'll need to come down after the internet is restored. Keeping in mind I checked in at 10pm. I was doubtful that I would even come down tonight. Elevators are the slowest I have experienced, even the buttons don't even illuminate to properly indicate that the elevator is even working. Photos on the website do not match the room decor or color scene. Unfortunate as I had high hopes for this location. ***update, while I was checking out, the front desk agent was eating a sandwich. Didn't expect that...also the wifi was out literally until the next day around 3pm. Worked from my mobile hotspot. read more

It should be getting 4 stars or more however... Headed south and decided to find a place to stay as we like Marriot known for their standards. Lady at the front desk was very polite and checked in my wife and son while I got the bags. After she gave them the room key, she said "oh, and you get breakfast." Room was great and got a good night sleep. Early the next morning went to grab something to eat before heading out. The woman who apparently was watching guard, said we only got "two" breakfasts and would have to pay for the third. My wife said at check-in we were told it would be all three of us. It was at this point this woman rudely said we were wrong and after an uncomfortable silence, continued to be nasty before finally saying she'd allow it "just once" like we were staying all week trying to scam them. My son and I took a muffin and some fruit, now all appetite lost. My wife had an omelet made which was nice, but by then we just wanted to leave. So to sum it up, most staff were pleasant, property is beautiful and one staff member can use a refresher on being polite to the paying customers. Marriott would be rolling in his grave at how well that women represented. read more

This Four Points is very conveniently located! A Dunkin Donuts and Waffle House is directly in front of the hotel (literally, you don't have to cross the street!), the beach is about 20 minutes away, Whole Foods is 10 minutes away, Mall is 15 minutes away. The Customer Service Agent who checked me in was very friendly and she moved quickly. I was actually surprised to see how busy the hotel was, it definitely seemed like a full house Mother's Day Weekend. They do serve a complimentary breakfast in the morning and there is an outdoor pool. This hotel is older, but it didn't have that musty smell a lot of older hotels do. They have kept the appearance up nicely and it looked very clean. HOWEVER, THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN. Several other reviews mentioned this and it is not to be taken lightly. You absolutely will hear your neighbors beside and above you. That said, thankfully everyone kept it nice and quiet, so there was no issue falling asleep at night. Overall, this is a decent hotel to stay in for your basic needs while in the Jacksonville area. read more

Checked in at 3:00, was told to go sit and wait as the room was not ready yet. At about 3:20, still not ready and could we wait another half hour? We could not so they gave us a handicap room instead. Room was fine but no plug in the bath tub, no microwave in the room and the light switch in the bathroom was dirty. It basically says they don't give a damn about their employees and I should've just come and spread the virus. It's sickening that these ppl think more about a dollar than a life. .I wish I had read the other reviews before staying here. I have allergies and MOLD is one of them. The first floor is clean, employees are helpful and friendly. We had a large king room. As soon as we stepped in the elevator there was a smell of room deodorizer. The 4th floor we were hit with an over powering smell like air freshener or something. When the ac in the hallway kicks on you about die. It is definitely to cover up a MOLD smell. I should have left. I pulled my shirt over my face to breath. I lasted an hour then I had to find benadryl. They really should keep benadryl in their pantry store. I had to drive down to the gas station/ convenience store at 11pm. If you have allergies or are bother by MOLD or perfume DO NOT stay here. read more

Stayed a single night on a holiday weekend here passing through town. Newly built or redesigned not sure, we found a good room for under a $100. Location is handy for breakfast with an iHop and Dunkin Donuts nearby. Plenty of parking is available on site and it's close to I95. The front desk folks were pleasant and had us checked in quickly. Our third floor room was clean and temperature wise pleasantly cool. My bed though had a sneaky old metal spring mattress but was still comfy to sleep in. One of the two complimentary water bottles provided had been opened!? Biggest gripe was the sliding bathroom door than even when closed had a significant gap affording the occupant little privacy. read more

I found the staff to be exceptional from the sales and management staff who helped when I had a personal situation. Four Points BayMeadows is part of the SPG brand and I couldn't be happier. I travel to Jacksonville for business very often, as do several of my colleagues and the Four Points BayMeadows is our go-to hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff always courteous, professional and meet my expectations every time. The colleagues I know who have stayed here absolutely love this hotel, especially for the breakfast in the mornings. They have a mini breakfast buffet, sure to please most palettes. It includes made to order eggs. They also have a happy hour in the evenings. The rooms are spacious and clean, housekeeping is always spot on if I should need something extra. They have a small gym and I was extremely pleased to find a small BOSU in the gym!! Very few hotels have a BOSU! (I'm a certified BOSU specialist). There is also a pool, which I've never had the opportunity to use, but it does look lovely. It's our go-to hotel when traveling to Jacksonville. It's only a 1/2 mile off I95, it sits back from the road a little bit, so you don't get highway noise. There's a couple of restaurants close-by. read more

Stayed on the 3rd level beach view. Black mold on ceiling- bathroom had mold and mildew smell. My allergies were at all time high since I'm allergic to MOLD. Not worth staying.... room was half painted ... Also had to pay 10$ per person for breakfast and I spent 189$ per night. The elevator was not clean smelled like a cat litter box. Has a complimentary breakfast buffet if you're staying 5 nights or longer. Location is not the best, it's close enough to 95 but kind of far from the downtown area and the river walk. The room seemed clean but on our third night there was a dark mildew growing in the toilet. AC worked like a dream, but I wonder if the mildew was from the AC unit. There was a fountain for re-filling water bottles but it hadn't been serviced, and it looked like they had put silver tape over the display so you couldn't see the red light indicating that the filter needs changing. Lorraine at the front desk was really sweet! There was another staff member who was pretty rude to our group but Lorraine went out of her way to make it right. If the review were about just her, it would be 5 stars. Overall if it's near where you're looking to visit and the price is right, I would recommend. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again. read more

The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered and I have had some bad experiences.... I'll try to make the long story short but let's start off with Carrie... her attitude, professionalism, did not coincide with someone who made sure I knew that she had been in the hotel business for "20 years" and at this property for "14 years"... my card was compromised on 5.12.2022, on Friday 5.13 of all days I call the hotel around 2:30 in the afternoon to indicate that I would be arriving late... and the worst attitude proceeded... the card on file needs to be updated or this reservation will be canceled... I call my cousin being the fact I have no card at this time because it was compromised to ask for his card information... when I called back I was advised the reservation had been canceled when I was already advised it's okay to call my cousin to get the details updated and this was all done within 30 minutes... I call Marriott reservation who was able to book the hotel keeping the original rate terms... called back hotel to let them know inwilk be arriving late as my cousins flight will be inn be late and was advised I was banned from the property for no other reason than for Carrie to essentially have the last laugh and last Say... furthermore, that is not the expectation originally communicated... the original communication was that I would need to book again which i did... this is not the most joyous occasion if you know what I mean... and now I'm in route to Jacksonville with no place to stay tonight at a rate that can work for both my cousin and I. I can only assume the response from this business will likely be Carrie the general manager and if so of course you're going to make yourself sound right when you're truly in the wrong lying saying I used profanity when I didn't... I was reacting like any other typical upset customer that doesn't degrade or use profanity would. I was respectful and I felt my energy certainly matched your lack of compassion and grace but you were just having a bad day Carrie and you ought to be ashamed. While you're at it be sure to respond to the email sent to you Carrie directly to your email... perhaps it's the color of my skin or something though... don't stay at this hotel if you can help it. It's like a hotel inception. Four Points within Sheraton within Starwood. Seems like a decent location - not in the heart of the city but not far from the interstate. There's plenty of parking and the front desk was beyond accommodating when I arrived. Free breakfast was included with my room stay and there's also 24/7 free wifi. My room is spacious yet minimalist with a limited color palette of berries, browns and cream. There's a big bathroom, a work desk, a flat-screen HD TV and a couple of comfy queen beds - perfect for a weary business traveler. They have a wine & beer bar in the lobby, a fitness area and an outdoor pool. I'm glad Starwood is making more hip, affordable places to stay, similar to their Aloft chain. :) read more

Recently stayed here and I was blown away by this hotel. My coworker and I got in late and our group had already left for dinner by the time we arrived. When asking the receptionist for suggestions for a good bite and drink she suggested that she would drop us off and pick us up from Stonewood's which is not in walking distance. After we hesitated for a bit and saw that the only other option was to go to MC'D's we said what the heck sure. She used her own car, would not let us tip her and did it all with a smile. The rooms were swanky and the bed was so comfy I almost couldnt get up. No fear the sweet receptionist called me and reminded me that my group was about to depart for the meeting. Great hotel for the price. I rezzie'd through Hotels.com, and with that I paid less than three digits per night. LESS THAN THREE DIDGES!!! **Church** (That was me speaking like the druggie dudes on Breaking Bad. I'm a poser. I'm from the suburbs of Orange County, CA. I need to sit down before I hurt myself.) Seriously, great price, great value. The place was clean, the room was quiet. The staff was friendly. The wake up calls did their J.O.B. Couple points to make your stay even better: 1.) Park around back. The staff will tell you "You can park up front or around back, by the pool. Choose around back. It's usually empty because all the other knuckleheads park up front, so you'll be golden. 2.) Breakfast is not bad...pretty standard "made by a worker, not a chef" type of food. There's a Duncan Donuts in the parking lot, if you want a little bit better coffee. 3.) Third floor does NOT have an ice machine/soda machine area. How do I know this? 1:00 AM, I'm rummaging around the floor like I'm a ghost trying to haunt the place, looking for some ice. Nope. You want ice? 2nd or 4th floor, baby. They got the goods. 4.) WIFI It's not really written anywhere how to get to the hotel wifi. Why? Because apparently any bonehead (except this bonehead) can figure it out easily enough. Turn on your frickin' laptop and look for the floor you're on under the WIFI list. Click on it and VOILA. (No...I spend 15 mins trying to figure it out, then call down to the front desk like my grandma would do.) Anyway....this hotel is great. Enjoy. read more

This is what I call a business class, mini-hotel. It is clean, friendly staff and nice cold rooms. The beds were comfortable and they also had a really good room service for extra items. The walls were a little thin. We could hear the television next door and we heard talking in another room. The pool was small, but just enough for the kids. They are close to pretty much everything including a Persian/Iranian place which served really good Kabobs. The staff was very nice. The Continental breakfast was acceptable. They have a small short order bar and grill in house, which runs limited window of service. The lobby was spacious and the parking was ample. For the price it was good. The hotel is nice enough- clean and comfortable- but service is lacking. I tried to call the service desk no less than 10 times between 8pm and 6am and the line was busy. When I went down to the desk to ask ask for coffee that had not been restocked in my room, it took 10 minutes to even find an employee who just rudely pointed to a man eating breakfast and told me it was his problem not hers. Ug! Just make sure you don't need anything, have an emergency or have any questions and you'll be ok. read more

Forgot I had stayed here on a previous occasion a little over 2 years ago and didn't care for the place. Booked an overnight stay. Upon arrival and entrance to hotel, I remembered why I didn't like the place. There is such and unbearable, overpowering smell of fragrance throughout the hotel, as if there is a mold/must problem being concealed with the drenching of the fragrance. Some places in the hotel you can catch a musty smell. Our check in was quick and efficient. Hotel appeared to be clean. Room was spacious. Didn't care for the bed. Was soft and lumpy as were the pillows. Couldn't get a good sleep because of the pillows and the smell in the room. Not the fragrance smell, some other smell that is hard to describe. No room darkening curtains or shade on the window. We were in the front of the hotel so the lights from the parking area and businesses added a glow to the room. Bathroom was decent. Shower head high enough for tall people. Shower door opens both ways, don't push out after a shower, all the water from the door drains into the floor in a huge puddle. There are shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower for your use, the scent of these was just as bad as the scent throughout the hotel. The outlet outside of the bathroom under the mirror needs to be replaced, it won't hold a plug. The walls are thin and the doors are heavy. Heard doors slamming shut and conversations of people walking through the hallway. At 6:40 in the morning a group of people were preparing to leave. The ladies across the hallway put all their luggage outside their door and proceeded to pack their things while having a full fledged conversation, yes, IN THE HALLWAY! When I opened my door to let them know they were being too loud too early in the morning, another group member YELLED down the hallway asking if they needed help with their things. I understand that is out of the hotel's control. But it gives you an idea of the volume of noise that can be heard in your room. Needless to say, sorry I didn't remember this hotel from our previous stay, but I will remember it now and will not be returning. read more

I haven't stayed at a Sheraton in about a year.. And in Jacksonville, I had to stay at one for one last night to close out my vacation comfortably. When we arrived and walked in, the aroma was relaxing and I couldn't describe it. It was nice just standing there and checking in. We took our elevator to the second floor and when we stepped out... All we could smell even stronger was cleaning fluids.. 180 degree turn and it didn't make sense. It was about 4pm so I expected them to fix up the rooms and smell by then. Even later in the night, the smell was still there so I just assumed someone puked in the hallway the night before and that's how they were converging up the smell. When we went into the room, it was nice and of course the first thing I do is take a dump. I banged my knee pretty hard on the toilet paper holding thing cuz it was so close (and because I have long legs) and it pissed me off. But the bathroom was also nice and the sliding door was cool. I was concerned the smell might leave the bathroom since it didn't close fully, however, it didn't which was cool (thank god)! I laid down on the sofa in the corner, used their semi slow internet to get caught up on a weeks worth of emails and spent a few minutes on Hulu before a headache kicked in telling me I need to sleep and it was only 5pm. I laid down on the bed and I sunk right in comfortably. I still get annoyed on how well the comforter is tucked in but I was too tired to care and fell asleep. The pillow was a little soft for me, still better than a Holiday Inn, but the bed was too comfortable for me to care. I woke up a few hours later since humans are technically animals and we all know how they sound when devouring food in front of a TV.. And then fell back asleep again. The next morning I woke up since it was bright and they didn't have drapes that covered the windows, only light curtains which was nice at night, but annoying in the morning with the sun rise. As I went down to breakfast, which they gave us for free as we had to pay $10 per person, I was excited. The first thing I took was some delicious milk which apparently went bad and I talked it after 3 thirsting gulps and I've kind felt sick all day and had weird has (-3 stars). The strudel was delicious and I took 2 more and then headed out back home, the end. I expected better from Sheraton when it comes to breakfast to avoid getting sick, especially if I am a weary traveler. read more

An ok resort type hotel. Rooms have ocean or city view. The A/C blows right in your head when you lay down in bed. Pool and jacuzzi are available. Hotel need some renovation. Rates are a little high for this kind of property, but is in front of the ocean. read more

I purposely searched for a Starwood hotel in Jacksonville because of its superior reputation. Upon arriving after a very long drive, I was horrified to walk into this hotel and be greeted with such a stench. It's as if someone rubbed their dirty underarms all throughout the carpets in this place. Another turn off was when I went to my car to get my bags and was locked out of the front entrance to the hotel. I have never been to a hotel where they did this. Seems like an indication that the area is unsafe. read more

We had a great stay here over the weekend of 3/19/2010. The hotel was clean, very accommodating, allowed us an early check in and late check out. The room was spacious and came equipped with Seattle's best coffee & Tazo teas as well as complimentary water. Everyone on the staff was extremely courteous and professional but also very relaxed.
